As we enter the late fall and winter months of November 2018, it will be fruitful to reconsider in greater detail the signs of the Celestial Prelude that led the Magi to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have proposed that the triple union of Jupiter-Saturn in 7 BC was not the actual signs marking the birth of Christ, as many have contended, but a Prelude to help the Magi recognize the triple union of Jupiter-Regulus in 3-2 BC, as the genuine heavenly signs surrounding the birth of Christ. Others as we will see, hold that Christ was born in 5 or 4 BC.

It is easy to see why this Jupiter-Saturn union could be mistaken for the celestial markings of the actual birth of Christ. Its understandable when we recall that much of this tradition was based on the teachings of the Prophet Daniel, who was made the master of the Magi, and the stargazers by King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon, [Dan. 5:11]. He continued to preside over this august group in the reign of Darius I, [Dan. 6:1-3] when the Persians took control of the Babylonian empire. Daniel’s influence on the genuine sect of the Magi, not the Magicians who followed the perverted occult path into Astrology, was notable representing a key aspect of the astronomical doctrines of these Gentile scientists, especially regarding the widely held belief in the general sign marking the coming of the Messiah during this period in history. Obviously the Magi were aware of the truths of the Celestial Gospel concerning the coming redeemer, since it was their unrivaled expertise in Astronomy that led them to Jerusalem in the first place. As Matt. 2:3 tells us, their reputation clearly preceded them as Herodand all Jerusalem was troubled at their appearance. Herod seems to hold the Magi’s opinion regarding the star that lead them to Jerusalem, above the belief of his own scribes and chief priests, which is evident in the secret meeting he arranged with the Magi in Matt. 2:7.

The activity in the first Chart below compares the signs of 7-4 BC, ahead of the signs that began the following year in the 2nd Chart. Previously our focus mainly concerned the triple planetary union of Jupiter-Saturn in 7 BC, in comparison with the triple planetary Conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus 4 years later. In this study we will focus more on the intervening period of celestial signs in 6-4 BC, providing more detail leading to the birth of Christ. We will add details on some other signs like the two Blood Moons in 5 BC, to more fully sketch out and establish this comparison. What gets our attention with these Blood Moons is not only do they take place in the Spring and Fall Seasons of the Hebrew Calendar, but the March 23rd Blood Moon Total Lunar eclipse falls on the evening of Passover on March 22nd opening the date of the 23rd on this calendar starting the week of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Also in the Fall of that year, a 2nd Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse, occurred opening the week of Hebrew Feast of Tabernacles, Sept. 15th. This was preceded by a Partial Solar Eclipse the evening of Sept. 1st that started the Feast of Trumpets on the 2nd of September, giving us a triad of Luni-Solar Eclipses on Hebrew Feast and holy days in 5 BC, also marked by Nova Capricornus, a notable set of Celestial Pageantry leading to Christ’s birth to be sure.

In March, 5 BC, and according to some records again in April, 4 BC, a Comet with no tail, or a Nova, appeared first in Capricorn, the sign of Christ the coming Sacrifice, and later in Aquila the Eagle, a decan of Capricorn and enemy of the Serpent. The Pisces conjunctions of 7/6 BC would have directed the Magi’s attention toward Jerusalem, but this unique Nova in Capricorn two years later, during the feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread marked by Blood Moons may also have confirmed for the Magi the General Sign of the Celestial Prelude, seen in what E.W. Bullinger uncovered below. He references the popular belief regarding this general sign that was visible in and before the first century: “a traditional prophecy well known in the East, carefully preserved and handed down, that a new star would appear in this sign [Coma] when he whom it foretold, would be born.” 1  This tradition was at least partially based on Balaam’s declaration in Numbers 24, telling us that Balaam’s prophecy holds for us, at least a twofold import.

17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.4

   First, Balaam’s revelation refers to the advent of Christ the King, the ascendant bright and Morning Star, who came forth out of Jacob’s genealogical line. This genealogical line was marked astronomically by the similarity in the Jupiter-Saturn triple conjunctions surrounding both the births of Abram and Christ. Secondly, there is a celestial double meaning in the phrase: Star out of Jacob, with connotations for both the general and specific aspects of our Celestial Prelude. The new star, or supernova in the head of the infant in Coma, visible over 200 years, before 7 BC, was the general sign, the Star out of Jacob, that prepared the Magi to watch for specific aspects of the second part of the Celestial Prelude, including the JupiterSaturn triple unions of 7 BC in Pisces. We find this 2nd aspect of Balaam’s prophecy relating to the scepter, symbolic of the reign of the king planet-Jupiter.

As we progress in our study it becomes plain that Jupiter was the planet the Magi referred to as “his Star” in Matthew 2:2. The Magi noted the triple union of Jupiter and Saturn, that gave them a blueprint for the actual signs marking Christ’s birth, 4 years later. A Jupiter-Venus sign in August of 3 BC motivated them to begin their caravan to Jerusalem. Both of these aspects of the General and Specific celestial signs marking the birth of Christ are covered in more detail in the study on “The Stars Over Bethlehem, showing what the Magi observed in the skies overhead at the Messiah’s birth, both in Virgo and Coma.

They reached Judea years before the death of Herod, Jan. 9th, 1 BC marked by a Blood Moon, not to be confused with the Blood Moons of the 5 BC on Spring Passover, or during the fall feast of Tabernacles coinciding with Nova Capricornus. Over the last 18 years, when I first proposed the idea of a “Celestial Prelude,” and published it on [www.try-god.com], I have not been aware of any similar proposed theories that have come to the surface. There are however, some folks that have arrived at different conclusions from the same data. I recently came across some research by Jonathan Gray that falls into this category. Gray documents the history of what I have referred to as the General Sign of the Celestial Prelude in his book; “The Sting of the Scorpion,” where he states;

“FACT 9: Both Gentile and Jewish peoples preserved an ancient prophecy that in the period in which the Promised One should be born, there would appear a very bright star in the sky (22/161). This new star was to appear in the sign of the Virgin (5/36-37). A new and peculiar star did make its appearance in the period immediately preceding Jesus’ birth; it was so bright as to be visible even in the day time; and it continued in the sky during the whole period of Jesus’ lifetime, and for a period thereafter (22/161-163). It was in the first decan of Virgo, namely Coma, the sign of the Infant accompanying the Virgin, and it marked the very head of that Infant. The calculations on these remarkable incidents in the sky are recorded in ancient Mesopotamian and Chinese documents (10/239-247). They have been repeatedly re-examined by noted astronomers and pronounced to be correct. The facts thus stand attested by the best science. There can be no doubt that the conjunctions all in the sign of Pisces, along with the new star in the Virgin and Child (Coma) indicated that the One now born could be none other than the divine-human Seed of the woman. Is it any wonder that the Magi, as they approached Jerusalem, grew excited? That they were soon to see the illustrious Virgin-born Deliverer of the world, whom the zodiac and all sacred writings had been proclaiming from remotest antiquity, they had no longer the least shadow of a doubt. For long ages the world had awaited him. The time was now.” 2

Gray attests to the same historical evidence I first documented in the late 90’s regarding the “Coma Supernova,” but arrives at different conclusions regarding the birth of Christ due to his belief that Herod died in 4 BC. We find evidence for his belief towards the end of the next quote from Gray.

Regarding the Magi, Gray says;

“We cannot doubt that they were following some written or traditional prediction, a prediction referring to some general warning that was to be followed by a definite sign. It is clear that this warning had occurred two years previously, and it was this warning that caused the Magi to look for his sign, “his star in the East” (Matt. 2:2). So it was that these wise men from the East came asking for a newborn king and saying that they had seen his star in the East. Herod, the Roman-appointed puppet king, was nervous about the possible usurper of his throne and “inquired… what time the star appeared” (v. 7). The visitors must have informed him concerning the conjunctions and the associated omens. The jealous despot sent his murderers to Bethlehem to butcher an estimated twenty unweaned male infants living there. He was playing it safe. An attestation of the slaughter of the Bethlehem babies comes from Augustus Caesar (Macrobius, Saturnalia, lib.2, ch. 4). It is mentioned by Pascal (Pensees, 753 in the Penquin edition). Perhaps by this action Herod felt secure. Fat chance: within months, he was dead – and so lost the throne anyway! As for the star, some may regard it as entirely mythical, some as miraculous*, but it is also possible to suppose and inquire after an actual celestial phenomenon back of the account.” 3

Some of the varied conclusions Gray holds are based on a common error in this field, that Herod died in 4 BC as opposed to the much more likely date of  Jan. 1 BC, where Dr. Ernest Martin, shows that this eclipse is the only one that meets all the evidence required by Josephus and others, [Askelm.org]. 4  This error of linking the March 13, 4 BC Blood Moon to Herod’s death is a major determinant of his thesis of a 4 BC birth of Christ. The signs Gray notes in 5-4 BC are thus designed to support the birth of Christ during this time, but he is not alone in this false assumption. Yet this date is too early for the birth of Christ to fit with other aspects of the Biblical timeline of Christ’s ministry. The “general warning” Gray refers to above, that the Magi followed to a “definite sign” appears to be the Jupiter-Saturn triple union two years prior. So he considers this triple union of planets as a general warning pointing to the Nova Capricornus that followed also in Pisces. As Gray points out; “at the precise hour of midnight in the third week of September 5 BC, the sign of PISCES (everywhere regarded as a sign of the people of Israel), witnessed this constellation reaching its zenith on the meridian above Bethlehem, the prophesied birth-place of the coming Messiah.” 5 Gray also states earlier in the same year both Virgo and Coma were rising on the eastern horizon, seen from Jerusalem.

Triple conjunction

Gray correctly points out the regular annual period when the Sun is clothing Virgo [Rev. 12:1-2] but makes no reference to the Moon being at the Virgin’s feet… 6 “It is a further ASTRONOMICAL Truth that on this date the SUN stood in Virgo (regarded the sign of the Virgin mother from whom the divine-human Redeemer was to be born. 16 David’s prophecy (2 Sam. 23:4) “And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the SUN riseth,” is explained in the Jewish Midrash on this passage (par. 29, ed, Lemberg, p 56b, lines 7-9 from the top) as applying to the appearance of the Messiah (9/30). He is also termed the SUN of Righteousness and the LIGHT of the world (Mal. 4:2; John 8:12). So now, at the appointed time, the SUN stands in the VIRGIN.” 7

Gray recognizes the Sun’s annual trek through Virgo but leaves out the Moon, so his evidence falls short of the events describing the birth of Christ at this earlier time, which IS however fulfilled 2 years later. Gray’s general timeline is correct, which is described in his next reference below, but like many others not all the details fit.

“The Herodians knew that the time for the appearance of Messiah was at hand. The general expectation of the Jews as the time for Messiah’s appearance had arrived. Hence the Jews sent priests and Levites to John the Baptist, to ask him, Who are you? “And he confessed… I am not Messiah.” Then when Jesus himself appeared, many said, “This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world” (Jn. 1:19, 20; 6:14; 7:40, 41). John the Baptist understood the chronology of Daniel’s prophecy and made it one of the bases of his appeal, “Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 3:2).” 8

Gray’s incomplete timeline of events marking the birth of Christ omits key details that allow us to separate truth from error. But the information he supplies is not without value if applied to the genuine timeline of Christ’s birth. Below Gray refers to a general time-frame of the Messiah’s return based on teachings from the Talmud– “The School of Prophets,” headed by Elijah.

“THE JEWISH EXPECTATION: “HE’S DUE” There cannot be the slightest doubt that the portents announcing the birth of Jesus were understood by the rabbis (see page 23). But, more than that, they had the amazing prophecy of Daniel. Early Jewish documents such as the Septuagint (LXX) translation (285-246 B.C.) and the Testament of the Twelve Patriarchs (c. 100 B.C.) interpret Daniel’s time prophecy (ch. 9:24-27) as referring to the Messiah (12/824-825; 13/47). Indeed, whether Essene, Hellenistic, Pharisaic or Zealot, “the most usual interpretations [of Dan.9:24-27] of Judaism until after 70 AD… were of the Messianic kind” (3/521). Notice this statement in the Talmud: The Tanna debe Eliyyehu [School of Elijah] teaches:

The world is to exist six thousand years. In the first two thousand there was desolation; for two thousand years the Torah flourished; and the next two thousand years is the Messianic era” (Talmud Sanhedrin, 97a, Vol.2, p.657).” 9

We can see the relevance of this history in light of the consistency between the signs surrounding both the births of Abraham & Moses, leading to Christ. Aspects of the Hebrew Faith were based on ancient traditions going back to the birth of Moses and Abraham, because it was believed the birth of Moses was also marked by a triple union of Jupiter and Saturn. We have detailed the signs surrounding these triple unions marking the births of Abraham and Moses for this very reason. These triple unions of Jupiter and Saturn would be a prophecy from deep antiquity that the Piscean Age would bring forth God’s eternal purpose in the revelation and personal presence of Jesus Christ, the promised seed of the woman. In the following reference to Jupiter-Saturn triple unions related to the birth of Moses, R.H. Allen has probably isolated at least part of the quote by Abrabanel referenced by Kepler:

“The Rabbis held a tradition, recorded by Abrabanel in the 15th Century, that a similar Conjunction took place three years previous to the birth of Moses, and they anticipated another at their Messiah’s advent.”10 [emphasis mine]

With this in mind, plus the fact that Moses was a forerunner of Jesus [Acts 3:22ff], it is worth noting that in the three years following the triple union of Jupiter and Saturn, and the Triangular massing of planets in February of 6 BC, Jesus Christ was born.  Even so, the triple union of Jupiter and Saturn in Taurus starting in the summer of 1536 BC, was the prelude to the birth of Moses. Perhaps the highest compliment we can pay the Magi is that they were genuine Gentile believers who sought for, and accurately anticipated the first coming of Jesus Christ, according to the ancient science learned from Daniel and the Astronomy they applied from their own traditions of Zoroastrianism. As Matthew 2:10 states; they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. The exceeding greatness of their joy, however was not founded upon their sighting of “his star” only, but on both the General and Specific signs of this Celestial Prelude, and all that Jupiter represented regarding the first coming of Jesus Christ the promised seed written in the stars. The roots of their knowledge of the Promised Seed trace to the monotheistic teachings of Zoroaster. A second man of the same name was said to have coexisted with Daniel in the reign of “Darius the Mede” in the 5th – 6th Centuries. We find a reason for their joy, in Rolleston’s quoting of Abulfaragius below:

Zeradusht {Zoroaster} taught the Persians that in the latter times a virgin should bring forth a son, and that when he should be born a star should appear, and should shine and be conspicuous in the midst of the figure of the virgin. It is then said that he commanded his disciples, the Magi, when they should see the star, that they should go forth where it directed them, and offer gifts to him that should be born.”11 (emphasis mine)

This confirms what we have already seen in Zoroastrian writings concerning the coming of the promised seed. The Magi would certainly have been joyfully awestruck when they realized the dual witness of the supernova in Coma, along with “his star,” the king planet Jupiter at rest in the mid-section of Virgo, on their way to Bethlehem, fulfilling the prophecy written in the stars, and established by their teachers, Zoroaster and the prophet Daniel. A graphic rendition of this is found in our banner at the top of this blog post. It shows both the general sign of the Celestial Prelude next to the specific sign of Jupiter in Virgo, directly over Bethlehem, as the Magi testified to the Creator’s precision, with the Rhythms of His celestial cycles in perfect harmony, bringing the Magi to their appointed destiny as witnesses of His purpose of the ages, the foretold arrival of the redeemer of Mankind.

The Nova’s in Capricorn and Aquila would have drawn the Magi’s attention to the General Sign of the Celestial Prelude, the Supernova in the head of the infant in his mother’s lap in Figure 1. Capricorn emphasized the perfect Sacrifice of our Lord and Savior laying down his life for the salvation of all mankind.

The Coma supernova set the stage for the triple union of Jupiter-Saturn in 7 BC leading to the birth of Christ. This union in Pisces also marked a transition in the ages of the precession of the equinoxes, from the Age of Aries to the Age of Pisces. This was not only the case in ancient Israel but the world-views of many ancient cultures including, Sumeria, Babylon, Egypt, Persia and the Meso-Americas., all held similar views. According to this pattern, Jupiter-Saturn triple unions occur in Pisces only once every 800 years, exhibiting how this series subdivides the precession, that totals a period of about 25,000 years. Since every 30 cycles of Jupiter-Saturn triple unions in Pisces totals a period of 24,000 years, this period is near enough to the full cycle of precession, to warrant our attention. This new Precessional Age was highlighted because for the prior 2160 years, Aries was the sign wherein the Sunrise occurred on the Spring equinox. The Triple union of Jupiter-Saturn marked the first time that the Sun arose in the Sign of Pisces, on the Spring equinox, signifying a new Precessional Age, the Age of Pisces. Over 2000 years has already passed since this opening of the Piscean Age, and the Birth of Christ that occurred four years later. The Sign of Pisces contains two fish, one swimming vertically towards the North Pole and the other horizontally along the ecliptic. The fish represent the houses of Judah and Israel, further disclosing the Promised Seed would come out of the Royal House of Judah. Christ had to be the Son of Adam, Abraham and David to fulfill all righteousness. The fullness of the gap between the sufferings of the Lord, seen during his first coming, and his glorious return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords continues to take place in the Piscean Age. Finally, this triple Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in Pisces gave the Magi all they needed to identify the signs marking the birth of Christ when the triple union of Jupiter-Regulus took place in Leo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. This panoramic view of Biblical and Celestial History, beautifully encapsulates how God utilized the Natural Law witness in the heavens, coordinated with Divine Scripture, to reveal in increasing detail, the identity of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

Heb 11:3 Through faith4102 we understand3539 that the3588 worlds165 were framed2675 by the word4487 of God,2316 so that things which are seen991 were not3361 made1096 of1537 things which do appear.5316

worlds” [G165 aion] ages of time were repaired, or set back in order by the individual spoken Words [G4487 rhema] of God.56 Thus we can trace the Audible Spoken Words of God in Scripture at the inception of each Spiritual Administration.

framed” [G2675-katartizo] means; to establish, set up, arrange, complete, perfect, finish, refit, repair, mend.57 [I Cor. 1:10, Gal. 6:1, I Thess. 3:10]

Each of the seven temporal administrations represents a step closer in the progression towards the total reparation of the ages of Time, thrown into chaos by Lucifer’s revolt in the 1st Heaven and Earth.  As the Entropy Law was instituted, resulting from the disobedience of Adam and Eve, the enemy became “Time Lord” in the kingdoms of this world. The Entropy Law, also known as the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, or “Time’s Arrow,” dictates the degradation of all matter in Creation, inexorably moving from higher degrees of order to lower states of order. This is the palpable effect of the release of sin nature on Creation, [Romans 8:19-23]. The Creator is the only One Who could reclaim the rule of the Temporal World, and from Eternity past, He set His plan in motion to be carried out in Jesus Christ. Each Spiritual Age /Administration brings Man closer to the Return of Paradise in Christ, where God’s order will be restored forever. In this way Christ is seen as the consummation of the ages, the center and embodiment of God’s plan to repair the damage done by the enemy, at the fall of man. As all history turns upon the Messiah- the axis of temporal order [BC/AD], so all men look to the Messianic prophecies of his appearing in faith of this restoration of the Ages 

In summary it is the Scriptures of Messianic prophecies that provide irrefutable proof of the identity of Jesus Christ. All the singularly unique signs, miracles and wonders that followed his life and ministry, pale in comparison to the collective witness in Biblical Prophecy of his appearing. As powerful as the single threads of Messianic truth are in foretelling of his earthly sufferings, it is the unified record in the tapestry of Messianic truth, and the Celestial Gospel, that together provide the complete fulfillment of his everlasting Glory as the Red Thread, forming an unbreakable chain of sacred evidence binding God’s Written Word and all Creation, into a unified whole. This mighty Chronicle of the Ages, consummated in the embodiment of God’s Word made flesh, brought to life in the only begotten Son of God, make the life, ministry and truth of Jesus Christ absolutely indisputable, because they are built upon the unshakable ground and foundation of the Eternal Rock-Who is our God and Loving Heavenly Father!

Lunar Occultations and the births of Moses and Christ

A central theme in God’s plan of the ages becomes evident in the triple unions of Jupiter-Saturn. As we have seen in the signs surrounding the birth of Christ, the Celestial Prelude is based on the triple Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in 7-6 BC, as a key that unlocked the understanding of the Magi in recognizing the actual signs of Jesus’ birth in 3-2 BC.

We have had numerous reminders of late concerning the celestial signs of the birth of Christ, from the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15, to the Great American Total Solar Eclipse, to the replay of the Rev. 12 sign on Sept. 23rd, 2017, just to name a few. One would literally have their head buried in the sand to miss all these primary sky signs that the Almighty has been getting our attention with. There are also secondary signs that have taken place in support of the main celestial themes which are worthy to note. As we have posited for many years on the Try-God sites, the Celestial Prelude of Jupiter-Saturn triple unions in 7 BC, and going back into biblical history are primary markers that not only allowed the Magi to recognize the astronomy surrounding the birth of Christ, but secondary celestial signs in support of these major themes are a key to understanding these primary truths. One of these secondary signs will be seen in mid-October next month, in the Lunar Occultation of Regulus, as seen in Figure 1 below.

Regulus is known as the heart of the Lion in Leo. It’s the only 1st magnitude star– located almost exactly on the ecliptic, or Sun’s annual path through the constellations of the zodiac. The Moon also moves generally along the ecliptic in its monthly path, swinging anywhere from 5north or 5o south of Regulus. In cycles of about 9 years, however, the Moon passes directly in front of – Regulus once a month for about a year and a half. A recent Lunar Occultation Series began January 7, 2007, ending on May 12, 2008, with a total of 19 Occultations.

As part of this Occultation series, the Moon also covers other planets and notable stars, relating an important narrative keeping us informed of current related astronomical and spiritual events. The Chart below shows the positions of the Moon and Saturn in Leo on June 19, 2007 during the lunar Occultation of Saturn.  This is the seventh Saturn occultation in 2007 with three more that followed in 2007. There were 3 other Lunar Occultations of Saturn in 2007, none of the 3 visible in the US. A particular Saturn Occultation that caught our attention 6 years earlier, on Sept. 10, 2001 was an occultation of Saturn visible in the US on the eve of the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

The Lunar Occultation of Saturn on Sept. 10, 2001; in Taurus formed the first bracket around the 9-11 attacks, while a second Lunar Occultation took place as the Moon closely approached and covered Jupiter in Gemini on September 12, 2001, the day after the attacks. The bracketing of the 9-11 attacks by lunar occultations of Jupiter and Saturn is an eye-opener by itself, but it becomes even more interesting in light of the crescent Moon passing the planet Venus on February 25, 1993 in the constellation Pisces as seen below.

The first World Trade Center attacks allegedly ordered by the “Blind Imam” took place the next day, on February 26, 1993. The nearness of the Moon and Star on this Turkish flag as it appears on flags of other Muslim nations historically, including the Ottoman empire- suggests its possible origins from an astronomical event like a lunar occultation, when the Moon passes very close to a planet or bright star. Some have suggested that celestial events like this are viewed as favorable times by radical Muslims to advance their agendas. Also their familiarity with the Hebrew Calendar and its sacred feasts and holy days makes days like Sept. 11th or Rosh Hashanah a good anniversary date to make a statement against the Hebrew Messiah at the birth of Christ.

Halfway through the most recent Occultation series–on August 21, 2017 – the Moon actually occulted Regulus on the same date of the Total Solar Eclipse on Aug. 21st 2017. We find this celestial sign on the list of recent Lunar Occultations of Regulus below. Interestingly, the star in crescent symbol is also found in Heraldry, in the Coats of arms of the Three Magi, with “Baltasar of Tarsus” being attributed a star and crescent in a blue fieldWernigerode Armorial (c. 1490) as seen below. 5

The present Occulation series began on December 18, 2016, and ended on April 24, 2018. Once again, with a total of 19 occultations in the series. Not all of these occultations are globally visible, but here is a list of dates for the 2017-18 Occultation series: 6

Exactly midway through the Occultation series–on August 21, 2017 – the Moon occulted Regulus on the same date of the Pan American Total Solar Eclipse. How’s that for precision in the Creator’s divine system of celestial mechanics and Biblical Astronomy! Then the following month a cluster of Lunar Occultations took place on the same day!

September 18, 2017–the Moon occults three planets; Venus, Mars and Mercury and a first-magnitude star (Regulus) in less than 24-hours. This was the first time since March 5, 2008, that three planets had been occulted by the Moon in less than one day. The next time won’t be until July 24, 2036. 8 This string of planetary occultations generates more spiritual than observational interest because most of the world is not well-situated for watching even one of these four occultations. With the close proximity to the Great Sign of Rev. 12 on Sept 23rd, this Lunar Occultation of three planets and a first magnitude star on the same day is noteworthy. Of these three planets aligned with Regulus in Leo, only the Moon and Venus were easy to spot in the predawn/dawn hours, as the Moon blocks the light of Venus the Bright and Morning StarRegulus was also visible below Venus as the Moon covered it next, before dawn. The lunar Occultation of Mars and Mercury that followed, was not as discernible to the naked eye. How does this relate to the birth of Christ? In previous blog posts we have noted the importance of Jupiter’s Retrograde motion relating to the Signs of the Celestial Prelude.

In November of 3 BC, Jupiter reached its first stopping point in retrograde motion relating to Christ’s birth. Jupiter the king planet had already exhibited its link to Regulus the king star in Leo at Christ’s birth on Sept. 11th 3 BC, with the first of 3 unions starting Sept. 14th. With Jupiter’s triple crowning of Regulus, the celestial coronation of Jesus Christ was illuminated in the heavens by the hand of the Almighty, Who spun the planets in their courses at Creation.

The second conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus occurred on February 17, 2 BC. Amazingly, the Moon came to be positioned during the exact time between the Jupiter-Regulus union. “At about 5 a.m., looking at the western horizon, an observer would have seen the Moon directly between Jupiter and Regulus. The Moon would have been occulting the star Regulus with the lower fifth of the Moon’s diameter. Then, on May 8/9, 2 B.C. (82 days later) the same conjunction occurred again. This time, however, the Moon occulted Regulus by the top 1/5th of its diameter. The last conjunction would not have been seen in Palestine since the Moon was already below the horizon in the west, yet astronomers such as the Magi would have known what was happening.” 9

On Nov. 26/27 in 3 BC, the Moon occulted Regulus again. The coordination of Jupiter standing still in retrograde with this Regulus’ lunar occultation together is very rare, occurring only once about every 5,000+ years. The blocking of the light from the king star Regulus by the Moon, while Jupiter-the scepter of the righteous branch stood still in the heavens, foreshadows a link seen in Psalm 89 and Genesis 49.

“Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s children shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him? 10 The scepter shall not depart from JudahNor a lawgiver from between his feetUntil Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.

On January 20 in 2 BC, Jupiter rose just after sunset (acronycal rising). During this key phase of Jupiter’s cycle, the full Moon occulted Regulus. This is a facsimile of the event previously in Nov. 3 BC. The king star Regulus was occulted by the Moon while Jupiter is standing still at sunset in the heavens. This event took place in the Hebrew month of Shevat, a name which is taken from the Hebrew word for the ruler’s staff/scepter, [shebet], found in Genesis 49:10 [scepter] above. The “lawgiver from between his feet is a direct reference to the king star Regulus in Leo. 11

After the planet’s three separate conjunctions with Regulus, Jupiter then continued its westward journey, as viewed by the Magi. On June 17, 2 BC. it had its spectacularly rare reunion with Venus. The two planets were then a mere .01 degree from one another and they would have appeared to people on earth as a unified “double-star” which only the sharpest eyes would have been able to separate.

As Dr. Martin points out; “These celestial signs including Jupiter’s path lead the Magi toward Jerusalem in their expectations of the arrival of the Messianic king. This dazzling Jupiter-Venus union, heralded the entrance of the prophesied king when they were both morning stars about ten months prior, completed their introduction with an impressively rare evening star re-union.” 12 This eye-opening reunion also provided the celestial brackets surrounding the triple coronation of the new born King by Jupiter and Venus. Could the heavenly Father have done any more to announce the arrival of His only begotten Son?

As we document the key role of lunar occultations in the birth and return of Christ, we must keep in mind that Regulus is not the only bright star close enough to the ecliptic for the Moon to occult it. There are three other 1st-magnitude stars near the ecliptic that qualify: Aldebaran, Antares and Spica. Interestingly, Aldebaran, went through a series of 49 monthly Occultations starting on January 29, 2015, close to the mid-point of the Blood Moon Tetrad. This Occultation series just concluded September 3, 2018. The Aldebaran occultation series repeats in cycles of 18.6 years. The last series featured 48 lunar occultations from August 8, 1996 to February 14, 2000. The next one does not begin till 2033.

To provide more history on the Celestial Prelude and the key role of lunar occultations, the focus of rest of this study will be on the
celestial signs surrounding the birth of Moses, a forerunner of Jesus Christ, revealing a witness to a recurring theme involving the retrograde motion of the King planet-Jupiter, relating to Saturn. A primary theme regarding these Jupiter-Saturn unions, is their impact going forward linked to other triple unions of these planets in history. This study views the Jupiter-Saturn triple union marking the birth of Moses, along with lunar occultations during this time, and the light it sheds on the birth of Christ.

As we have seen regarding the signs surrounding the birth of Christ, Jupiter as “his star,” proves to be the star of the Messiah, the one which the Magi followed as it led them to Jerusalem, and finally Bethlehem. As the King planet, in reference to the spiritual dominion associated with God’s second in command, it is important to remember that Jupiter, was identified with Jesus as “King of the Judeans,” [Matt. 2:2]. Another aspect of Jesus’ celestial identity is the Morning Star, [Rev. 2:28, 22:16], seen in the planet Venus, significant for its morning and evening star appearances. This title of the Morning Star also occurs in another place in God’s Word, [Isa. 14:12], in reference to Lucifer, while still in his first estate, prior to his fall. As the initial bright and Morning Star, Lucifer was second only to God in authority, in the First Heavens and Earth, but his dominion over the angelic realms was stripped from him when iniquity was found in him, at his attempted coup’ in heaven. Jesus Christ has superseded him as the Morning Star, and Lucifer’s former authority over the archangels Mars-Michael and Mercury-Gabriel among others was transferred to Christ, who is ascended and seated at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. Jesus as the King of Kings, and the ascendant Morning Star, embodies much more authority than Lucifer did in the First Heavens and Earth, prior to the Creation of man. One facet of the symbolism of the planet Venus signifies inherent angelic spiritual dominion as the “covenant angel named wonderful,” [Judges 13:18]. This reveals another Biblical element of the theme of Jupiter-Saturn unions-Lucifer/Satan as the fallen Morning star. One way God has chosen to relate this narrative of the theme of the fallen Lucifer to us, is with  multiple celestial figures, including Saturn as Satan’s planet, in union with the King Planet Jupiter referring to Lucifer’s former glory.

A powerful related celestial figure of this truth is seen the Meteor shower, that began just before the Birth of Jesus Christ. The Draconid Meteor Shower, during September 9-12th of 3 BC, had its radiant from the star Eta-Draconis in the dragon Constellation Draco at the Celestial North Pole. Since the star Eta Draconis is located in the dragon’s tail, near the former star at the north pole-Thuban, it exhibits the dragon’s symbolic dominion, both as the original Morning Star, and the god of this world [II Cor. 4:4], after his fall. Our research of the dragon star, revealed a key relation to Saturn, in that, the star Eta-Draconis was unique in its regular transit across the Meridian at midnight of May 23rd, for over 1500-years, as documented by the Mayans in their astronomical texts. Their so-called “Dragon calendar” is shown below as it appears in the “Madrid codex.” 13

This transit began only three days prior to the first Jupiter-Saturn union on May 27th of 7 BC, as part of the Celestial Prelude to the May 19th, 3 BC Mercury-Saturn union, that began the actual signs marking the birth of Christ. This not only provided another conclusive celestial link between the signs of 7-5 BC and 3-1 BC, but also ties the celestial events in Draco at the north-pole, to the Jupiter-Saturn unions on the ecliptic, in the context of the Precession of the poles. Links between the planet Saturn and the star Eta-Draconis emphasize the original dominion of the dragon, especially his temporal lordship, at the pinnacle of Creation, while the Meteor shower depicts the dragon cast down at sunset, signifying the twilight of the radiance of this spiritual dominion. As we consider the Jupiter-Saturn triple unions marking the birth of Moses, it provides more depth to the Celestial Prelude both astronomically and spiritually.

The Jupiter-Saturn triple union marking the birth of Moses took place over a two-year period from 1536-1535 BC. The Israelites traditionally recognized the importance of Jupiter-Saturn celestial unions, even as they believed these signs would precede the birth of Jesus, so they held the same belief regarding the birth of Moses. The first of three JupiterSaturn unions during this period took place on June 25th 1536 BC. The second Conjunction occurred on July 11th of 1536 BC, followed by the third union on January 4th of 1535 BC. In the original detailed study we viewed, over 35 noteworthy celestial signs surrounding these three major unions of Jupiter-Saturn during this period, including many secondary signs of significance. Not only did all 3 of these Jupiter-Saturn unions occur in the Constellation Taurus the Bull, but Jupiter and Saturn remain for the most part, stationed in Taurus for nearly this entire two-year period.

As god of this world, the adversary’s stand against God’s purposes, embodied in Moses the Lawgiver and forerunner of the Passover Lamb are revealed. As the Deliverer of Israel, Moses was a precursor to the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, and a type of Savior for Israel. As the Lawgiver, He instituted the feast of the Passover lamb in Israel, as part of the 10th plague pronounced on Egypt, immediately after which Israel was released from bondage by Pharaoh. Mars-Michael remained in Libra, during the second sign marking Moses’ birth, complementing the redemptive truths that we find here in the sign Aries, relating to the Passover lamb. The archangel Mars-Michael symbolizes the conflict between the Lamb of God and the god of this world as we see them juxtaposed, throughout these signs of 1536-35 BC, pointing out Michael’s allegiance with the forces of light, against the dark minions. The Sun/daystar is found in Aries/Pisces while Venus the Morning Star is in Pisces/Sagittarius. With the Sun in Aries, close to the spring equinox, we see precessional markers of the Age of Aries, when the birth of Moses took place, looking toward the coming Piscean Age, marking the birth of Jesus Christ the ascendant Morning Star. We also find during this sign, the first in a series of lunar occultations of the red star of the Bull’s eye-Aldebaran, in Taurus. Here we find efforts of the lesser light, ruling the night to obscure the vision and coming judgment of the true and righteous judge, Jesus Christ, while also holding more immediate implications for the birth of the Lawgiver Moses. As we view the details of the Jupiter-Saturn Triple union marking Moses’  birth, we will highlight key secondary planetary conjunctions with lunar Occultations and eclipses during this time. What follows is an edited summary of the signs marking the birth of Moses, while the complete version is available if you follow the links inherent in this blog, to the original study @ [www.try-god.com].

The Signs of 1536 BC

1. January 11th, 1536Venus is partially occulted by the Moon in Sagittarius. This lunar occultation also directs our attention to a series of lunar signs that permeate the celestial showcase marking Moses’ birth. Here the approaching victorious Morning Star is partially covered by the Crescent Moon, in an attempt by the enemy to obscure its immanent defeat by the forces of light. Mercury-Gabriel is in Capricorn, relating the sufferings of Christ, fore-shadowing the Passover Lamb sacrifice, that Moses installed in Israel as a holy feast in the O.T. Law.

3. May 8th, 1536. Jupiter-Venus are in Conjunction during the next massing of planets in Taurus. Here the theme of planetary massing, previously in Aries now moves to Taurus the Bull, in the third sign of the birth of Moses, with the bright and Morning Star-Venus in union with the King planet-Jupiter, signifying the coming judgment of the King of Kings-Jesus Christ, embodied in his forerunner and Lawgiver Moses. Added to the previous massing of planets on March 17th, the Morning Star-Venus, followed Jupiter-Saturn’s appearance in Aries with Mercury-Gabriel. The messenger archangel announces both the planetary massing and the union of Jupiter-Venus, representing the unity of the forces of light aligned against the minions of darkness. Joining the massing of planets in Aries is the Moon, continuing her enmity in the previous lunar occultation in Taurus. This also points towards the May 8th, 2 BC, Jupiter-Regulus union marking the birth of Christ.

4. May 11th, 1536 BC. Planetary alignment of Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mercury and the New Moon in Taurus. The Sun/daystar also appears in Taurus between the horns of the Bull. This is the first appearance of a celestial body between the Bull’s horns during these signs, a significant aspect of this narrative which we will see again. Here again we find the celestial powers united against the enemy, and his forces of darkness, witnessed here with the 2nd lunar occultation of the Bull’s eye-Aldebaran in Taurus.

*6. June 25th, 1536 BC. The first Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in Taurus. This is the first of the three primary unions of Jupiter-Saturn in Taurus within the two-year period of 1536-1535. This planetary Conjunction in Taurus, finds Mercury-Gabriel in Leo, approaching the King star-Regulus, where they united three days later on the 28th of June, in Leo the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

7. July 4th, 1536 BC. Jupiter-Saturn remain in Taurus, as the third lunar occultation  of Aldebaran-the eye of the Bull, by the Crescent Moon, in this series occurs. Here once again, we see the enemy attempting to obscure the view of the coming righteous judge, doing every-thing in his power to oppose God’s purposes. As we have seen in our web-site study of the Hebrew calendar, the Moon many times is an indicator of the movements of the serpent’s seed behind the scenes, opposed to the Creator’s plans. During the time of Moses’ birth, a new Pharaoh, had come to power in Egypt, who was not sympathetic to the welfare of Israel, as the previous Pharaoh had been to Joseph and his family. He began a systematic effort to “control” the male population of the Hebrews, by killing the baby Hebrew boys at birth. This was one manifestation of the serpent’s efforts to blot out the genetic line which would bear the seed promised by God in Genesis 3:15. This goes a long way in explaining the “persecution of the Judeans” in history. We also witnessed a similar effort during the birth of Christ in Israel, carried out by the serpent’s seed Herod.

*8. July 11th, 1536 BC. This second of three Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions occurred in Taurus, in 1536. This is marked by a sunrise Annular Solar eclipse in Leo, approaching Regulus-the king star. This continues the theme of the enmity symbolized in the lunar activity, to the coming victorious reign of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Venus the bright and Morning Star is approaching the occultation of the Southern Ass in Cancer. This Sunrise solar eclipse in Leo while the 2nd Jupiter-Saturn union took place depicts a very similar theme in what occurred on August 21st, 2017, as the Solar eclipse, followed by the lunar occultation of Regulus. Recall that the 2nd Jupiter-Regulus Conjunction in Leo, in 3-2 BC, also had witnessed the opposition of the adversary, with the lunar occultation of Regulus moving between the king Star and planet, emphasizing the workings of the serpent’s seed.

9. July 12th, 1536 BC. At 7:10 pm the next evening, the lunar occultation of Regulus, in Leo took place. This continues the lunar activity of the previous sign, and foreshadows a series of lunar occultations of the king star-Regulus during 3-2 BC, surrounding the birth of Christ. Venus approached a grazing occultation of the Southern Ass in Cancer, providing a dual emphasis on the sufferings of the Morning Star/King-Star in conflict with the minions of darkness, leading up to the union of Venus-Regulus in the next sign.

10. July 29th, 1536 BC.  The Conjunction of Venus with the king star-Regulus in Leo. Here the bright and morning star unities with the king star in the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as a prophecy of the promised seed. Jupiter-Saturn remain in Taurus, with the Moon in Aries.

11. September 11th, 1536 BC. The triangular union of Venus, Spica/Al Zemach, and the Sun in Virgo. Mercury-Gabriel is also in Virgo, close to the star Porrima, and the Moon is in Scorpius. With the Morning Star/daystar clothing Virgo in unity with the Star Spica, representing the 4-D ministry of the promised seed Jesus Christ as King, Servant, Son of Man and Son of God, on the day of the birth of Christ, 1533 years prior, we have a key indicator of Moses, a forerunner of Christ in these four significant aspects of his ministry. As Lawgiver, Moses embodies the O.T. Law as Jesus did the Word of God for Israel. Moses instituted the Passover sacrifice, which was fulfilled in the ministry of Christ. Moses was also the Deliverer of Israel, leading them out of bondage, as Christ delivered them from the bondage and letter of the O.T. Law, that only he could fulfill. And finally, Moses was an Apostle for Israel shedding new spiritual light for Israel, even as Christ was the Apostle, bringing the new light of the Kingdom of Heaven. Mars-Michael is in Sagittarius at the star Nunki, indicating the glorified nature of the conqueror, as Prince of the Earth. The Moon is also in Scorpius, unified with the Scorpion, stinging the heel of the Man of God-Ophiuchus, in his struggle against the Serpent-Serpens. The 4-D ministry of Moses/ Christ, here is reflected in the Cardinal Directions of the heavens, and opposed by the four celestial serpents set against these aspects of the ministry of the promised seed. The activity of this sign focused around the star Spica is also intriguing, in that Spica/Al-Zemach is what is known as a “spectroscopic binary,” or a star that the spectroscope shows to be mirrored by an invisible companion of enormous Mass. Spica’s dark spectre revolves about it in a close orbit, making a complete revolution in the remarkably short period of 4-days.”14 These physical traits of a key star of the Messiah illustrate truths in agreement with major themes of the witness of the stars. The light of the world is shadowed by his nemesis, the spirit of anti-Christ, because the enemy is parasitic in nature and in no way original with his opposition against God through the ages, [II Thess. 2:3-8].

17. Jan. 4th 1535 BC. The Third Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in Taurus marking Moses’ birth, completes the triple union of Jupiter-Saturn in Taurus in 1536-1535. This sign is marked by a total lunar eclipse in Capricorn, with the lunar occultation of both the stars Nashira, and Deneb Al Geidi, denoting the coming sacrifice in Capricorn. Again, we find the enemy’s attempt to obscure the light of the coming lamb of God. This reminds us that, it was Moses the Lawgiver who instituted the precedent of the Passover Lamb in Israel, as part of their deliverance from bondage in Egypt, fulfilled in Christ. This imagery is supported with Mars in Pisces, showing Michael fighting for, and protecting Israel against the Egyptians. Pisces’ two fish represent the two houses of Israel and Judah, as they are fastened to the neck of Cetus the adversarial sea monster, in one of the four dragon signs of the ecliptic. We also find Venus the bright and Morning Star in Aquarius in this sign, showing the spiritual light of Israel’s deliverer embodied in the birth of Moses. Aquarius the water bearer represents the pouring out of holy spirit upon Gods people, seen during the Patriarchal Age with individual men of God. This changed however with Moses, as he ministered to Israel. Here we have the first instance where God’s spirit was poured out among the group of the 70 elders of Israel. This foreshadows the Church in the Age of Grace, where God is able to abundantly minister His spirit via the new birth to all who believe.

18. 2-8-1535 BCMars-Venus in Conjunction in Aries, showing Michael the Warrior archangel in union with the bright and Morning star while the institution of the Passover sacrifice is enacted, to effect Israel’s release from bondage, as seen in Aries. We also see Mercury and the Sun in Pisces, indicating God’s presence among His chosen people during their wilderness wanderings. God lead Israel through the wilderness with His presence in the Ark of the Covenant, that rested in the holy of the holies in the Tabernacle that Moses built according to God’s revealed plan. The Passover was a prominent aspect of the Tabernacle ceremonies connected with Aaron’s Priesthood, also including the inception of the Sabbatical cycle in Israel’s calendar. Another aspect of Jupiter-Saturn in Taurus circa 1536-35 was the view of the Judge/Lawgiver was seen first in Moses, was systematically being blocked by the repeated lunar occultation series of Aldebaran, the Bull’s eye in Taurus. This forms a definite sub-theme that illustrates the continuing conflict between light and darkness. This sign marks the 4th occultation of Aldebaran in Taurus, during these signs marking the birth of Moses.

20. 3-7-1535 BC. The Triangular massing of planets continues in Taurus, as in the previous sign, this time with the addition of the 5th occultation of Aldebaran, the Bull’s eye in Taurus, by the Crescent Moon. Till now we have viewed these lunar coverings of Aldebaran generally in obscuring the light of the coming judge, since Taurus embodies the coming ruler. But in light of Moses being the Lawgiver, Aldebaran can also refer to the coming of Moses himself as the judge and leader of Israel during his ministry, since Aldebaran means leader or governor. Thus the series of lunar occultations of Aldebaran, takes on a dual aspect in this light. Mercury remains in Aries as in the previous sign, as the Sun is still in Pisces.

23. 4-3-1535 BC. Jupiter and Mars are in Conjunction in Taurus, showing the unity of the king planet with the archangel Michael, against the enemy as seen in the Moon crossing Saturn, along with the 6th lunar occultation of Aldebaran during the early morning hours of the April 4th. The Sun is in the Spring equinox position in Aries along with MercuryGabriel, heralding the deliverer and Passover lamb. Venus is also in Gemini.

25. 5-1-1535 BC. Mercury joins the planetary massing in Taurus, along with the Sun, Jupiter and Mars still between the Bull’s horns, separate from Saturn in Taurus. This massing of planets is marked by the 7th lunar occultation of Aldebaran in Taurus. Venus has moved from Gemini into Cancer during this sign.

28. 5-25 to 28-1535 BC. On the 25th of May we find Mercury at the star Mebsuta in Gemini. The name of this star, means treading underfoot, in reference to the completed work and ultimate defeat of the enemy that Christ has now accomplished. On the 27th of May we see Mercury and Mars in Conjunction in Gemini, with the Sun also in Gemini. Here we see the unity of the archangels in Gemini, participating in the finished work of the defeat of the enemy, who clings to his defunct kingship seen in Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon also in Taurus. As we recall the singular aspect of the star Eta-Draconis in its regular transit across the Meridian at midnight of May 23rd, for over 1500-years, at the North Celestial Pole, documented by the Mayans taking place at this time, this transit began only 3 days prior to the first Jupiter-Saturn union on May 27th, 7 BC, as part of the Celestial Prelude to the May 19th, 3 BC Mercury-Saturn union, that started the actual signs marking the birth of Christ. Thus we a specific link of these Jupiter-Saturn signs marking Moses’ birth, to the Celestial Prelude that led the Magi to the birth of Christ. The unity of darkness in opposition to God’s purposes is emphasized by the 8th lunar occultation of Aldebaran in Taurus on the 28th of May, 1535 BC, seen also in the next sign marking Moses’ birth.

30. 6-25-1535 BC. This is a special day of lunar signs that begins with the 9th lunar occultation of Aldebaran in Taurus, followed only 10 hours later by a lunar occultation of Saturn in Taurus. Venus, Mars and the Sun remain in Cancer, with Mercury in Leo. Jupiter-Saturn remain between the Bull’s Horns in Taurus, showing the enemy unable to escape God’s Judgement. With nine Occultations of Aldebaran it is interesting that numerically nine is the number of finality of Judgement.

31. 7-1-1535 BC. There is a lunar occultation of Regulus, with Mercury in Leo. Saturn still claims kingship with Jupiter between the Bull’s horns in Taurus, signifying the unified forces of darkness against the coming prince Moses as seen in the Sun, Mars and Venus all in Cancer, protecting the flocks, or twelve tribes of Israel. The occultation of Regulus is one of a number of parallels we will notice with the signs surrounding the Birth of Christ in 3-2 BC, that also forms a set of brackets around these lunar Occultations of 1536-35.

32. 7-24-1535 BC. The Sun, Mars and Mercury are all in Leo showing the unity of the archangels with the Daystar, the forces of light unified in the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The foreshadowing of the birth of Moses is seen in the parallel dates of Christ’s birth 1532 years earlier. This is fitting considering Moses as the forerunner of Christ in the many ways depicted in these celestial signs. This is supported with Venus in Cancer showing the protection of the bright and Morning Star over the twelve tribes of Israel. In opposition, we see the forces of darkness moving in the lunar occultation of Jupiter and the star Tejat Posterior in Gemini.

33. 7-28-1535 BC. There was another lunar occultation of Regulus in July of this year, reminding us of the series of Regulus occultations looking forward to 3-2 BC. The remaining celestial bodies are still in the same place as the previous sign.

34. 8-6-1535 BC. Mars and Regulus are in Conjunction in Leo, showing Michael in unity with the King Star, the heart of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Mercury, and the Sun are also in Leo, showing the unity of the archangels with the Daystar and the King Star in Leo. With Venus in Cancer and Jupiter in Gemini, we have a complete departure from Saturn, which is isolated and alone between the Bull’s Horns in judgment, in Taurus. This isolation is a direct response not only to the enemy’s false claims of kingship throughout these signs, but also the recent Regulus occultations that mirror the Regulus occultation series in 3-2 BC.

 

As we can gather from the apparent themes surrounding the triple union of Jupiter-Saturn, there are key parallels leading both to the births of Moses and Christ, on many levels. As the celestial signs in 7 BC were a precursor of Christ’s birth, in context of the Celestial Prelude, so the triple union of Jupiter-Saturn may well function as pointers towards Moses’ birth also. In any case the parallels are certainly striking, and deserve our attention for further enlightenment.

The Times of the Gentiles and the Temple at Jerusalem

The Blood Moon Phenomena including the Blood Moon Tetrads on Hebrew feasts and holy days has truly been a treasure trove of heavenly signs that opened our awareness to Biblical Astronomy truths in a wide range of revelation in Bible Prophecy. These celestial signs have provided valuable spiritual instruction regarding the Lord’s Feasts in Israel, and how Christ embodies these holy days in his ministry to the spiritual body of his Church. In the 8 Blood Moon Tetrads since Christ, the most recent has been the Tetrad of 2014-15, which is significant since there will not be another similar tetrad for centuries.

The Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15 essentially opened with a Passover Lunar Eclipse on April 15th, 2014. Prior to the April 4th 2015 Passover Blood Moon, an unprecedented Total Solar Eclipse occurred on March 20th, at the Spring Equinox. This marked the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nisan, the start of their ecclesiastical year, at the midpoint of the Shemitah year in 2015.  Any total solar eclipse reaching the rarefied air of the North Pole is unique, and the path of this Total Solar Eclipse ended at the North Pole, putting it within eclipse totality for about two minutes. A total solar eclipse at the North Pole on the Spring Equinox takes place about once every 100 centuries, but it had never happened on Nisan 1 in Hebrew Timekeeping, especially when combined with a Super-moon, putting this Total Solar eclipse in a class by itself. A chart of the Blood Moon Tetrads over the last 2000+ years is available in our blog post @ Biblical Blood Moon Calendar.

This March 20th eclipse in 2015 was indeed a special one. While comparing historical eclipse data on the Spring Equinox; we found a solar eclipse (not at the North Pole) on March 20, 71 AD, also on Nisan 1 on the Hebrew Calendar. 1  A few months prior to these eclipses in 71 AD, Jerusalem was attacked and the Temple was destroyed. This Temple destruction occurred on the infamous 9th of Av in 70 AD. Although prince Titus had given the strictest orders to his Roman Legions that the temple should be spared, it was “accidentally” set on fire and consumed. On this day, August 5th, AD. 70, an awful scene of smoking ruins deluged with blood arose around the besieged Temple, where the daily sacrifice had ceased in Israel on July 13th, 70′ for lack of priests to offer it. As we will see below, this is one of the notable times in history where the Jerusalem Temple was destroyed by fire.

The Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15

Four-Blood-Moons

The Total Solar Eclipse on March 20th, 2015, was not only unique because it took place at the North Pole, but also because it fell right in the middle of this Blood Moon Tetrad. Much has been written about the position and timing of this total solar eclipse, but taking place in the center of this Tetrad is a key, when we consider how the 2016 solar and lunar eclipses link the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad to the Rev. 12 sign of Sept 23, 2017. The year of 2016 also saw the mirroring of solar and lunar eclipses in 70 AD. Not only are these solar and lunar eclipses mirrored exactly as seen in the chart below in 70/2016, but a Rev. 12 sign is also reflected in the center of the 70′ solar and lunar eclipses, on 8/27/70, three weeks after the destruction and burning of Jerusalem’s Temple by Titus on the 9th of Av.

The final Super Blood Moon of the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad takes place after the Hebrew 50-year Jubilee opened on the Day of Atonement, Sept. 23rd, 2015, exactly 2 years prior to the Rev. 12 sign on 9/23/2017. This is noteworthy since the 9/28/15 Super Blood Moon was the first Blood Moon of the 2014-2015 Tetrad that was visible in Jerusalem, as the city of God was liberated by Israel for the first time in nearly 2000 years in the preceding Jubilee year of 1967, also marked by the previous Blood Moon Tetrad of 1967-68. As we consider this feature of visibility over Jerusalem, we find it upheld also with each of the lunar triples bracketing the 2014-2015 Blood Moon Tetrad, as the 2nd Blood Moon of both lunar triples was also visible over Jerusalem. This directly links the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-2015 and the eclipses of 2016 with the razing of the Jerusalem Temple in 70′.

Jesus On My Mind - Blood Moon Tetrads and Triples and Solar Eclipses

As the 2014-2015 Blood Moon Tetrad of the end days was centered between the saddest days on the Hebrew Calendar, the days of Av marked by Lunar Triples in 2010-11 and 2018-19, as seen above they commemorate the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple on two key occasions in their history, one of which we have highlighted below, with the 69-71 AD solar and lunar eclipses, marking the Romans Destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. It is also noteworthy that the triple union of Jupiter- Regulus in Leo, marking Christ’s birth in 3-2 BC, synchronize here since the next one did not recur till 69-70 AD, 2 opening to the Partial Lunar Eclipse on the Feast of Tabernacles on 10/18/69′.

These dates may look familiar to those following my Biblical Astronomy Blog [blog.try-god.org], since we have presented some of this material in prior blogs, as the first Total Solar Eclipses of 2016 form the continuation of Solar and Lunar signs on Hebrew Feast days after the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15Due to a lack of consensus on the appearance of Aviv Barley in Israel, the alignment of these solar and lunar eclipses with Hebrew Feasts went mostly unnoticed in 2016. But they are key as they not only represent a direct link to the Aug. 21st, 2017 Pan-American Total Solar eclipse, but they also reflect the eclipses of 70′, when Titus destroyed the Jerusalem Temple.

Amazingly, another version of this Rev. 12 celestial wonder takes place on August 27th, in 70′, between the 4/14/70 Passover Lunar Eclipse, and the 9/21/70 Rosh Hashannah Solar Eclipse! As we have proposed in other blog posts, the Rev. 12 sign marking the birth of Christ on Sept. 11th, 3 BC, has the potential of a dual fulfillment, looking towards the victorious return of our Lord and Savior in the near future. If this is the case as I have proposed in the Celestial Prelude, then we should see related planetary activity linked to this Rev. 12 sign not only in 3-2 BC and 70 AD, but also connected to the 9/23/2017 version of this sign. As we compare the 3 versions of this Rev. 12 sign, each has Virgo clothed with the Sun, crowned with 12 stars, with the Moon at her feet. The nine primary stars of Leo along with three added planets make up the crown of 12 stars over Virgo’s head in Leo. In 70′ the three planets in Leo were Jupiter-Venus, and Mercury, while in 2017 they were Venus, Mars and Mercury.

In the 8/27/70 Rev. 12 sign, Jupiter and Venus in such close union they appear to merge into one star just as they did in 2 BC, except this time in the lower rear paw of Leo, [Fig. B]. Jupiter and Venus are also aligned with Mercury-Gabriel and the King Star Regulus in Leo. Its truly extraordinary that this version of the Rev. 12 Sign occurs in the center of the solar and lunar eclipses falling on Hebrew Feast and holy days, as they also marked the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in 70′. Since all three versions of the Rev. 12 sign take place in Virgo and Leo, they also fall in the category of Celestial Sphinx signs, the Alpha and Omega signs of the Biblical Zodiac.

Just as these signs of the Celestial Sphinx are evident in the Solar and Lunar Tetrads of 168-166 BC with Antiochus IV, and Titus’ 70′ destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, both forerunners of the Anti-Christ, these signs were also present both in the Rev. 12 signs of the birth of Christ, on Sept. 11th 3, BC, and also the Rev. 12 sign on 9/23/17. This of course supports our thesis of the Celestial Prelude. The reader can refer to previous studies on the Celestial Sphinx and the Celestial Prelude to gain added context with these subjects.

The planetary activity surrounding these Rev. 12 signs is a key to unlock the secrets of these related celestial signs. As we may recall there was a triple union of Jupiter-Regulus in 3-2 BC, marking the birth of Christ, not seen again till 69-70 AD. These signs were bracketed by 2 Jupiter-Venus conjunctions on Aug. 12th, 3 BC and June 17th, 2 BC. We also find critical Jupiter-Venus conjunctions in 70′ and in 2015-2017, as part of the Celestial Sphinx signs in Virgo and Leo. This conjunction series includes 2 Jupiter-Venus triple unions, one each in Leo then in Virgo, the head of the Woman united with the body of the Lion, as the two primary components of the Great Sphinx. We find this manifested also at the birth of Christ in a dazzling Jupiter-Venus conjunction in Leo on June 17th of 2 BC.

Jupiter-Venus Conjunction

The 1st Jupiter-Venus Conjunction marking the birth of Christ took place in August, 3 BC, in Leo, with the closest union occurring on June 17th, 2 BC, also in Leo. Here we find an interesting variation on a Celestial Sphinx sign directing us to the planetary unions of Jupiter-Venus, marking an initial fulfillment of the Rev12:1-2 prophecy relating to the sufferings of Christ in his ministry as the Passover Lamb. This alerts us that we should also look for similar Celestial Sphinx signs as a precursor to the glory of Lord’s Second Coming, a key element of the dual fulfillment of the Rev12:1-2 prophecy. [Lk. 4-JC]

In addition to marking the start and close of the celestial canon, the Great Sphinx mirrors the binding of Scripture together from Genesis to Revelationas seen in references to Jesus as the Lion of the tribe of Judah in both Gen. 49:8-10 and Rev. 5:5, the first and last books of the Bible. Another indicator of the key importance of these stellar aspects of the Great Sphinxis  the Celestial Sphinx; Virgo and Leo the lion provide the basis for the signs of the triple union of Jupiter-Regulus in Leo,
in 3 BC related to Gen. 49:8-10. This is a foundation key linking the Sphinx both to the celestial Gospel and God’s Word, in their unified testimony of the Coming Promised Seed.

As we view the conjunctions of Jupiter-Venus in the context of the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15, an earlier union of these planets occurred in Cancer, on August 18, 2014 which came 1131 days before the Feast of Trumpets 2017. This leads into the signs of the Celestial Sphinx on the following dates, where Jupiter-Venus conjunctions in Leo in took place in the Jubilee year of 2015-2016:

June 30th, 2015
August 25th, 2015
October 26th, 2015

The following dates saw Jupiter-Venus conjunctions in Virgo in 2016-17, culminating with Nov. 13th 2017:

July 27th, 2016
Feb. 26th, 2017
Nov. 13th, 2017

Near dawn in the first days of November 2017Venus the Morning Star followed Jupiter through Virgo, passed by Spica-Al Zemach, the branch and offspring of God appearing closest before sunrise on November 2. 5  Spica, shining in its 1st magnitude brilliance, illuminating the four fold ministry of Christ it embodies in Scripture, seen in the spiritual light of the four Gospels. When paired with Venus, the 3rd brightest object behind the Sun and Moon, this conjunction is one that deserves our attention.

The Nov. 13thJupiter-Venus union finds the bright and Morning Star, less than 1/3 of a degree apart,  [Rev. 22:16] from the king planet. The question that seems to stand out from these astronomical observations is why would the Almighty emphasize the Rev. 12 signs of the birth of Jesus Christ with the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple? Remember how we opened this study referring to the Total Solar Eclipse at the North Pole, on March 20th falling in the middle of the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad? But in 70′ the destruction of the Temple on the 9th of Av reflects God’s Judgement on Israel due to their rejection of Jesus Christ the Messiah. This rejection of Christ has caused blindness on Israel, [Rom. 11:5-12, 25-32] bringing salvation to the Gentiles, that will not be lifted till the fullness of the Gentiles is come. When Christ Returns WITH his Saints he will complete his judgement on the world, [Rev. 19:11-18]. The first phase of his Return is when he comes FOR his Saints, [1 Thess. 4:13-18].

Picking up again on the earlier conjunction of Jupiter-Venus in Cancer, on August 18, 2014 occurring 1131 days prior to the
Feast of Trumpets 9/21/2017, there is some intriguing math linked to this Jupiter-Venus conjunction series. When 1131 days is divided by pi, the product is 360 days. 6 The number 360 is not only central in time measures, but is also key in the geometry of a circle-where pi is a ruling precept. The close union of Venus-Jupiter on August 27, 2016 also came 360 days prior to the Pan
American Total Solar Eclipse inclusively, in Leo on Aug. 21, 2017. But there are added pi numbers found in relation to the
Jupiter-Venus conjunction series before the Trumpets Feast 2017Eight Hundred fourteen days before this feast there was a union of Venus and Jupiter, July 1, 2015. When we multiply 814 days by pi, the product is seven solar years of 2,555 days. 
This also contains the sum of 1260 x 2=2520, or [360 x 7], showing how two 1260 day periods are contained in 7 solar years. 7

 The day counts of these pi calculations are inclusivein that they include both start and end days. Considering the day counts in Fig. C, the period of 400 days is worthy of a closer look. By an inclusive count, its true sum is 401 days from th2nd Cancer conjunction to the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 21, 2017, [Fig. D]. If we take 401 days multiplied by pi, it equals 1,260 days. 9 Of course, 1,260 is 1/2-2520 days, or the 7 year Tribulation period minus 35 days. But 1260 is also the number of days from the 1st Blood Moon eclipse of the Tetrad (April 15, 2014) till the Revelation 12 sign, Sept. 23-25, 2017, [Figure C]. This tells us the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15 leading to the Rev. 12 sign on 9-23-17 is not only a strong warning of the Tribulation, but the inclusive count of 1,260 days ending at September 25th also is a clue to its solution, that men of God have sought ever since the archangel Gabriel told Daniel the vision was sealed till the time of the end; [Dan. 12:9]. As we found in our previous August blog post looking at the numbers related to the Gentile dominion over Jerusalem in Biblical Prophecy;

 “Saros cycles breakdown into two cycles, one of 666 years and the other of 594 years totaling 1260 years. We know that 1260 years is a soli-lunar cycle, so exact that its epact or remainder is only 6 hours. Bullinger stresses not only these aspects of the 1260 year period but also its double-2520 years. 10 Bullinger believed that these 1260 year periods marking the Gentile’s dominion over Jerusalem and its Temple in history, would foreshadow 1260 day periods in the end-times, when the final Abomination of Desolation was to be fulfilled, before and during the Great Tribulation. [2 Thess. 2:1-4]. This time of the fullness of the Gentiles is supported astronomically with findings above in the 1260 days from the 1st Blood Moon eclipse of the Tetrad to the Rev. 12 sign, on 9/23/17, as a precursor to the 1260 day end-time prophesies, [Rev. 11:1-3, 12:6, 14, 13:5].

The 2520 year period is known as the great “seven times” of prophecy, perhaps because the periods of Gentile dominion over Jerusalem and its Temple in history are “divided” into 2 spans of 1260 years, forming another kind of “week.”  Even as these two 1260 year periods of Gentile dominion over Jerusalem are encapsulated in the times leading up to the Great Tribulation, so they reflect two 1260 day periods are contained within the 7-year Tribulation. Furthermore, these 2520 days point to a future fulfillment of the various 1260 day42 months and a time, times and half a time periods of this week we have listed above, during the Great Tribulation.

The last Blood Moon eclipse of this Tetrad on Sept. 28, 2015, was the only Moon in the Tetrad visible in Jerusalem, took place 2520 weeks from the end of the 6-Day-War, during the previous Blood Moon Tetrad of 1967-68, when Israel reclaimed control over Jerusalem for the first time since 70′. This is enlightening when we recall the 7 weeks, or 49-day count between Passover and Pentecost, is also the basis for the 7 weeks of years that form the 50 Year Jubilee on the Hebrew Calendar, as seen in the 50 years between 1967-68 to 2017-18. This gives us a common standard for calculating weeks, days and years in Biblical time-keeping, established in the feasts of Passover, Pentecost and the Hebrew Jubilee. The last Blood Moon of the 2014-15 Tetrad also occurred at the end of a Shemita year, during the 1st week after the start of the Jubilee Year. As this is a long accepted basis in Israel for calculating these holy calendar feasts, we expect this standard to continue, not only in regular Hebrew timekeeping, but also in the events concerning the end-times. In this light it is interesting that in viewing a week of 7 years in light of current events in Biblical Astronomy when we recall there is about a 7-year period between the two paths of solar eclipses that began with the Pan American Total Solar Eclipse on August 21st, 2017, to its complimentary eclipse in the spring of 2024. This adds support to our discussion of the 49-day count between Passover and Pentecost, that forms the basis of the 7 weeks of years, leading to the 50-year Jubilee. To depict this link between days and years in Hebrew Timekeeping there is also a 2520 day period counting from Passover 2017 to Pentecost 2024.  Whether this is another intriguing temporal marker leading to the Tribulation, or one that could apply directly to it remains to be seen, but the indications are noteworthy in either case. From Pentecost 2018- 2,520 days later lands on Passover 2025 making 7/360-day years is also an eye-opener. 12   

In our day as believing members of the spiritual body of Christ, we must recognize and teach Christ’s fulfillment of the Lord’s Feasts. At the Ascension Jesus was raised to Heaven on Day 40 and 10 days later, Pentecost came the 50th day, or 7 weeks and a day from the Resurrection on Sunday. Jesus prophesied ten days before Pentecost of the the coming of the holy spirit as part of the New birth that became available first on the Day of Pentecost, [Lk. 24:37-39] when the Apostle’s first spoke in tongues, [Acts 2:1-4]. We have  the spiritual privilege to exercise these 9 manifestations of holy spirit [1 Cor. 12: 7-11] ever since as part of the New Birth package.  

Do the 1260 year periods of Jerusalem being trodden underfoot by the Gentiles foreshadow 1260 day periods in the end of days? It certainly seems likely, especially since the crux of understanding Daniel’s prophecies centers on the literalweek” of 7-days when linked to Christ, but a week of seven years when tied with the anti-Christ. The dual meaning of this week is not only found in [Gen. 29:26-28], but also with the 49-day count between Passover and Pentecost, as the basis for the 7 weeks of years forming the 50 Year Jubilee on the Hebrew Calendar. This gives us ample Biblical precedent as a key to the interpretation of these prophecies that have remained a mystery for so long. We know the future Temple will come as it is part of Biblical Prophecy just as the prior prophecies concerning the Jerusalem Temple were fulfilled in history. The future prophesied Temple must be restored before these Bible prophecies can be fulfilled.

God’s Judgment in Sieges on Jerusalem

There have been 27 sieges of Jerusalem historically [9 x 3], nine being the number of judgement, and 3 of spiritual completion. According to Bullinger’s study of Number in Scripture, he expected to find importance attached to the 10th siege [ordinal perfection] with a cycle of completion, and the 20th siege, which was the case as both of these marked the Temple’s destruction by fire. In the Hebrew Sabbath years of 586-587 BC and 69-70 AD, the sieges of Jerusalem and its Temple, first by Nebuchadnezzar, who burnt the Temple in 587-586 BC, [2 Chron. 36:17-20], and in 69-70 AD, by Titus and his Roman legions who also burnt the Temple. In both cases Jerusalem lay desolate for the next 50 years on the Jubilee Calendar. 13

Both of these historical figures relate prominently in prophecies concerning the anti-Christ, first Nebuchadnezzar whose dream of the four world kingdoms treading down Jerusalem leading to the end-times, and Titus of Rome played key roles as fore-runners of the Anti-Christ in prophecy. We will discuss this further presently. It was also expected with seven being the number of spiritual perfection, that the 7th, 14th and 21st sieges would stand out from the others. This proved to be true as these 3 each were the subject of divine prophecy. There is also a fourth siege of this group still future [28=7 x 4] and these 4 form a  structural Biblical figure of speech called an Epanados, with the first relating to the 4th; each being raised by divine inter-position, and the 2nd comparing to the 3rd in the terrible character of each. 14 See the structure below;

A. The 7th- Sennacherib’s siege was repulsed by an angel from the Lord, in about 713 BC, [2 Chron. 32].

  B. The 14th- Antiochus IV, One of the most brutal sieges, from 170-164 BC, with an abomination desolation, [Dan.9].

  B. The 21st- Roman siege under Hadrian in 135 AD, one of the most complete, with an abomination desolation. [Lk. 19:43         -44]

A. The 28th- The anti-Christ, prophesied in the future [Zech. 14, 2 Thess. 2]. This abomination of desolation will be cut           short by the Returning Lord Jesus Christ with his saints.

Strange Trumpet Sounds & Mystery Alien Noises Coming From The Skies

Looking at Daniel’s Prophecies of the Anti-Christ and their compliments in Revelation, they each refer to a “week” period. By linking this 1 week period, [H7620], with the 42 months/1260 days [3.5 year period/time, times and dividing of a time] we observe how the one week relates to both “princes” below; the Beast and the Messiah, who shall confirm [make firm] the covenant with many for “one week”: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.” The main record linked to the “Prince” referring to both the Messiah and the beast pertaining to a “week” is set in Daniel 9:

Daniel 9:25-27
25 Know therefore and understand, {that} from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince {will be} seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troubled times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himselfand the people of the prince that will come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof {will be} with a flood [military charge], and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm [make firm] the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of Abominations [Shiqquts] he shall make {it} desolate, even until the consummation [completion], and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Jon Nessle explains how this relates to Daniel’s prophecy… of the prince;

“The first use of the word, prince, obviously is referring to the Messiah. However, the second cannot. How could the genuine Messiah destroy the city and sanctuary? So there have to be 2 different princes in this context. Just like verses 25 and 26 speak of each, verse 27 alternates between the twoJesus, the Messiah confirmed the covenant during holy week by becoming our Passover. When he was raised from among the dead, the covenant was sealed and the restitution of all things made inevitable. In the midst of that week, on a Wednesday, the Messiah caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease. When he died, the veil of the Temple tore in two from top to bottom, making the way into the holy of holies possible without any more sacrifices or offerings, because the supreme one had occurred. The other prince was Titus the future Emperor of Rome, and his army desecrated the Temple with their abominationsso just like Antiochus IV was a type of the Anti-Christ, so also was Titus. So a first Century occurrence of Daniel’s prophecy is plausible.” 16

Here in reference to Christ, the “week” is a literal 7 days, but in the future the Anti-Christ will confirm a covenant for a “week” that is 7 years. Biblically, this word [H7620] for “week” is used in both senses among other places in [Dan. 10:2-3], it is a literal week of seven days, but with the first use of [H7620] in [Gen. 29:27-28] it is a “week” of seven years. This also provides unique Biblical confirmation that the Messiah was crucified “in the midst of the week” on Wednesday-NOT “Good Friday” of religious tradition!

Over the last 2000 years the history of Blood Moon Tetrads starting in Peter’s Sermon opening the Age of Grace, [Acts 2:20] has seen a steady progression of Bible Prophecy related to Israelbeing systematically fulfilled. Jesus’ prophecies of the Jerusalem Temple’s destruction, [Matt. 24:1-2] marked with solar-lunar eclipses were fulfilled in 70′. We have seen the dispersion of the Jews around the world, as we have seen the Jews return to a reformed State of Israel in 1948-1950, also marked by a Blood Moon Tetrad1967-68 saw the 6-day war with Egypt, when Jerusalem was for the first time reclaimed under Israel’s control, since 70′, also marked by a Blood Moon Tetrad. This leads to the next step we await in the prophecies to re-build a 3rd Jerusalem Temple.

[2 Thes 2:1-4]
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

So a third Temple is coming, in fact they have just dedicated the holy olive oil and the altar for use in the third Temple in Israel. This gives us some undeniable signs to be watchful for;

a. The Third Temple Rebuilding.
b. Israel is allowed to restore their sacrifices and offerings in the Temple as part of a 7 year pact.
c. This “pact” will be organized and enacted by a future global political leader
d. This leader will break this pact in the midst of the 7 years and declare himself god seated in the Temple’s holiest. [2 Thess. 2:1-4]

As we remain vigilant for these signs and end-time events, we will not be deceived by the enemy.

The Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation [Part 2]

 The Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation

Not long ago an email was sent to me from a brother on my Facebook Biblical Astronomy Group page regarding an application of Prophetic Bible numbers. While reviewing these numbers, it came to mind that one common thread in God’s Word tied these three numbers together was the Beast, or Anti-Christ. This study pertains to an equation that rises from these 3 numbers, and the time periods of Biblical Prophecy linking them. A deeper look revealed a numerical basis for these 3 numbers was evident not only in the Bible but also in secular mathematics, called the sexagesimal, or Base 60 number systems.

Any numerical sequences revealing aspects of the Anti-Christ must be understood in light of how this evil spirit, opposes the true and genuine Lord and Christ, the anointed Savior sent by the Heavenly Father, especially in these last times, as the Scriptures tell us in 1 John 2.

1 John 2:18
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

The enemy has stood against Christ even before his arrival, as Satan rebelled against God’s purposes ever since his unsuccessful coup in heaven. The enemy also knew of prophecies concerning the birth of Christ, with numerous unsuccessful attempts made to wipe out his bloodline. Thus we can see how the spirit of anti-Christ is not only embodied in one person in the end-times, but also includes any general opposition to Jesus Christ. It is logical to expect the number of the Beast, to turn up in various forms, like time periods related to the Beast, seen many times in Old Testament forerunners of the Beast.

Historically sexagesimal numbers have been most evident in ancient cultures like Sumeria, Babylon and Egypt, because 60 is the smallest integer divisible by all digits 1-6. The utility of Base 60 numbers has survived into modern times with temporal and geometric measures with 60 seconds per minute, 60 minutes per hour/degree, and 360 degrees [6 x 60] in a circle, all traceable to this ancient Babylonian system. For similar reasons, 12 (with factors of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) also remains popular historically, (12 months, 12 inches, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 pence, 2 x 12 hours, 144, etc).

One of the numbers we will trace related to its Base 60 origin is the number 666, which we will view both from its Biblical roots, along with its astrological history. Regrettably, the Babylonians were also the primary developers of astrology, and its foundations practiced in modern times. The Zodiac is a narrow band about 18 degrees wide completing its circuit of the sky. A pagan symbol of the zodiac was a serpent swallowing its tail ostensibly representing eternal life. This also relates to the lunar nodestwo points where the Moon crosses the ecliptic monthly, determining solar and lunar eclipses. These lunar nodes were anciently conceived as the head and tail of a dragon, swallowing the Moon or Sun on its tail. The axis of lunar nodes retrogrades around the ecliptic in 18.618 years. As the Sun meets a lunar node once every 173.3 days, it completes an eclipse year of 346.62 days or [11.738 full moons] every second crossing. Since the eclipse year is 18.618 x 18.618 days, the Saros can also be understood as 19 x 18.618 x 18.618 days to [99.99%] accuracy. 1 This not only reveals the numerical basis of the marriage of luni-solar cycles numerically [Gen. 37:9-10], but also shows us the influence of the phi ratio in these cycles since 19 eclipse years divided by 11.738 full moons= 1.618, or phi accurate to 4 digits! Thus we can see the the Hand of the Almighty working in the design of the celestial cycles, since there is no way the Phi Ratio could be seen in the numeric and geometrical Intelligent Design of the Cosmos by accident! Astrology teaches a fatalist dogma that people’s future was determined by the position of the stars at birth. The chief idols of the Zodiac were these 7 fatalistic planets winding their way through the 36 rooms of the Zodiac. In Astrology the 7 planets moving through the band of the zodiac, represented the 7-headed serpent, (Rev. 12:3). The Zodiacal band was divided into 12 houses, one for each month of the year, with each of the 12 houses divided into three rooms, producing 36 decans of ten degrees in the 360 degrees of the Zodiac circle. Thus the Zodiac was seen as the origin of a sacred temporal order, a Heavenly Clock to measure time.

 Six hundred sixty six is the well known number of the “beast” in the book of Revelation, and also the first number in our “Anti-Christ Equation.” Six is the number of man, or human/secular perfection, “and 666 is a concentrated expression of this-the trinity of human pride independent of God, in opposition to His Christ, culminating in the Anti-Christ.”2 As the trinity of man’s number, it is the essence of 6 being the sum of all numbers making up its square=36 [6×6], also the sum of all digits from 1-36=666. 3

In this study our main focus is on the Scriptures and history regarding the trials of Jerusalem and how historical figures like NebuchadnezzarTitus and Antiochus IV, have conquered the holy city, since the Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation reveals a key link to prophecies related to the Gentiles treading Jerusalem under foot. For example we find that Jerusalem was trodden down by the Roman Empire exactly 666 years, from the Battle of Actium in 31 BC, unto the Saracen conquest in 636. 4 There is also a 666 year cycle covering the period of the captivity of Jerusalem by Babylon in 597 BC, to its destruction by the Romans in 70 AD. Thus we can see at least two 666 year periods linked to the Gentiles treading Jerusalem under-foot. These two captivity periods also agree with the four beast kingdoms of Daniel’s vision, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.

Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number {is} Six hundred threescore {and}six.

This verse views the Anti-Christ in numerical terms, providing a Biblical basis for this study.  As a key number we will consider in this study, 666 reveals central traits of the Anti-Christ. He is symbolically called a “beast,in reference to a king or the Kingdom of the beastThe Greek word for “beast” is therion: a wild beast. The Hebrew word is חיוה cheva, used symbolically in Daniel in a negative sense. 5 We find an example of this from Daniel where the four beasts of Daniel’s prophecy are also kings.

Daniel 7:17
These great beasts, which are four, {are} four kings, {which} shall arise out of the earth.

Another example of the beast as a kingdom is seen later in Daniel 7:

Daniel 7:23-25
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom {are} ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak {great} words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time

This image in Nebuchadnazzer’s dream, representing the beasts of these kingdoms according to Dan. 3:1, was 60 cubits high, 6 cubits broad, and was worshiped when music was heard from 6 specific instruments [666]. 6

Daniel’s prophecy indicated that following Babylon’s Lion and Persia’s bear, the next empire after the winged leopard of Alexander the Great and Greece, was the Roman Empire, as seen in the iron legs of the image. According to Daniel, the feet of the image would be “divided” in two, one part iron and the other clay. What is interesting is that the Hebrew word for “divided” above in [Dan. 7:25] “time and times and the dividing of time,” [Palag=dividing,] 7 is the same root word used for “dividing” the 4th Beast kingdom in the feet of the image in Nebuchadnazzer’s dream; mixed of iron and clay, [Dan 2:41]. Since the 4th beast in this dream is prophesied for the last days, we can glimpse the timing of the “dividing” of times and kingdoms, [Daniel 10:14]. The dividing of time also implies God’s original temporal order where the scriptural basis is seen in Genesis 1.

Gen. 1:14-18

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15  And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

As we consider the details of the Heavenly Father’s temporal order, we find the two great lights of the Sun and Moon, in their solar and lunar cycles ruling over and dividing the day and night. We note that He made the Stars also, which we know in astronomy as sidereal cycles. A Sidereal Month for example, is the time it takes the Moon to move around the sky with respect to the stars. The mean lunar sidereal month is 27.3 days. The Sidereal year of 365.25636 days is widely used by astronomers. In this foundation of the Creator’s temporal order we find the Almighty laying the basis of time-keeping with Solar, Lunar and Star [sidereal] cycles.

As we view the elements of the Bible’s “Anti-Christ equation,” we need to take our pointers from God’s Word to ensure we are on solid biblical footing to proceed in this study. The equation in reference to the title of this blog post came to my attention from my friend Michael Hearns, who is part of my Facebook Groupthe Biblical Astronomy Fellowship. The equation has three basic numerical elements including the number of the beast, along with two Bible numbers from the books of Daniel and Revelation. Thus with 666, we also include the numbers, 1260 and 2300. We find these three numbers at the base of the Eclipse cycle of 18 years and 11 days, called a Saros, each holding about 70 eclipses. Of these 70 eclipses about 42 are solar and 28 are lunar on average. 8 For example, the 1260 year period breaks down into two shorter spans based on the 18 year eclipse cycle. In our study of the eclipse cycle related to the 1260 year period, lunar cycle measures conform to the 666 pattern, as 66 lunar cycles +6 years. (60 cycles + 6 cycles + 6 years). A principle in these periods of Biblical Prophecy related to the luni-solar cycles is that the longer the cycle, the more error is eliminated from the Saros. This pattern is established as seen in De Cheseaux’s cycle of 315 years, which is 1/4 of the 1260 yr. Biblical cycle, (Dan. 8:14; 12:7; Rev. 12:6, 14), 10 times more accurate than the 19-year Metonic cycle. The Saros eliminates most of it’s remainder in the longer 2,300 year Biblical cycle. Every 1260 years the Sun and Moon return, within less than 1/2 a degree, to the same point of the ecliptic precisely, within an hour of each other. If we subtract 1260 from 2300 we get 1040 which is a long-awaited solar-lunar cycle harmonizing all three measurements: the Year, Month and Day “with a nearly imperceptible error(of .11 of a day). 9

The breakdown of the 1260 year period pairs the number of the beast as a multiple of the 18 year eclipse [Saros] cycle; since 1260 years is 18, 70-year eclipse cycles [6 + 6 + 6 such cycles] as seen below.

18 x 37 = 666 years, added to
18 x 33 = 594 years
————————-
18 x 70 = 1260 years
totaling =  70 Saros cycles.   10

Putting this into perspective, I think it fitting that we quote from the Witness of the Stars, by E.W Bullinger, in his discussion of the Saros: Bullinger shows the periods of Jerusalem under the Gentiles in two 1260 years cycles, totaling 2520 years. 11  He depicts the domain of Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece as 594 years, and the Roman Empire’s dominion of Jerusalem at 666 years; totaling 1260 years. Both of these periods are calculated in eclipse cycles. The second 1260 year period consists to the Mohammedan conquest of Jerusalem that began in 636-37 AD. 12

“Saros cycles breakdown into two cycles, one of 666 years and the other of 594 years totaling 1260 years. We know that 1260 years is a soli-lunar cycle, so exact that its epact or remainder is only 6 hours. Bullinger stresses not only these aspects of the 1260 year period but also its double-2520 years. 13 Bullinger believed that these 1260 year periods would foreshadow 1260 day periods in the end-times, when the final Abomination of Desolation was to be fulfilled, before and during the Great Tribulation. [2 Thess. 2:1-3].

As we include the conversion rate of Solar and Lunar cycles with the calendar year according to these cycles seen in Biblical Prophecyfrom Daniel and Revelation, we gain a panoramic view of Biblical history and an incisive view of end-times prophecy, related to the activities of the Anti-Christ and his final desolation of the Temple at Jerusalem. This view is afforded us in the numbers of the Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation.

In this equation we take the initial product of; the number of the beast times 1260 days:

1260 days x 666=839,160 days

The second part divides the product of the first part by 2300 days:

839,160 days/2300 days=364.852.17 days 

This product of 364.852.17 days is a fraction short of a Sidereal year of 365.256 days, the time it takes the Earth to fully revolve around the Sun, in its position against the stars. The key to the fractional difference between 364.852.17 days and the sidereal year of 365.256 days is amazingly found in a combination of time periods stated in Rev. 9:15, also relating to the Anti-Christ. 14

Rev. 9:12-15
12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Concerning these 4 time periods, from the [J-F-B Commentary] quote on this verse, we should look more to the listed time periods as opposed to the sum total of these periods; “for an hour, and a day, and a month, and year rather as Greek, “for (against) THE hour, and day, and month, and year,” namely, appointed by God. The Greek article (teen), put once only before all the periods, implies that the hour in the day, and the day in the month, and the month in the year, and the year itself, had been definitely fixed by God. The article would have been omitted had a sum-total of periods been specified, namely, three hundred ninety-one years and one month.” [391 years] [Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary] 15

The temporal periods seen here are not only fixed by God, where these angels of the 6th trumpet are linked to a 200 million man army; appointed in the future, where they will destroy a third of earth’s population as punishment for their evil actions, [Rev. 9:20]. If these periods are viewed in a symbolic biblical sense, an hour, is the twenty fourth part of a day or year, a day is a year, and a month is thirty years, and a year is three hundred sixty five years and a quarter, or ninety one days; in all, 391 years, viewed in total. These periods added like this may not appear logical until we consider these cycles in their luni-solar context, in light of how the Creator set them in their courses in His Temporal order. This is a key aspect of the Mystery of the prophetic numbers we are considering. In his studies of the Temple and Tabernacle, Hearne also found biblical units of talent and shekel measures matching luni-solar cycles, [Ex. 38:24–29]. One number was the equivalent of the lunar month, a second equaled two solar years of 365 + 365 days, and a third was the equaled 5 lunar years, which implies a year-month-day cycle. In this light, there is an interesting relation to a total time period of 706 years as the sum 391 (Rev. 9:15-Hour, Day, Mo. & Year) and 315 (1/4 of 1260). No other cycle shorter than 1040 years so nearly approaches being a year-month-day cycle except only the cycle of 706 years whose greatest error is .10 of a day. 16

This hyper-accurate year-month-day cycle is made up of 3 of the 4 time periods listed in Rev. 9:15, harmonized to the luni-solar cycle. These four time periods of verse 15 listed in decreasing order, break down in the Anti-Christ equation as follows:

This total when rounded up to the nearest sidereal cycle of 365,256 days, amazingly bridges the gap to make up one sidereal year, with the primary calendar time periods of one year, one month, [a week,] one day and one hour. Furthermore, all of these periods were listed in the [Rev. 9:14-15] with four of these periods appearing in the same sentence. But the period of one week was cited separately in the context of 3 ½ years/42 months, which was listed twice in [Rev. 11:1-3] in reference to the two witnesses who will also preach for 1260 days. 18 Viewing the context we not only see that 42 months=1260 days, in bible time measures, but also when John is told to measure the temple, altar and worshipers, he is told to omit the measures of the outer court, which are given to the Gentiles who tread it underfoot 42 months. Here we have another key measure linked to the Temple in God’s Word, related to this equation. “The period of 2,300 days also includes the Tabernacle, and its surface areas of the tent and outer fence according to Hearne, measured 2,300 square cubits.”19  This matched the time period the Temple Sanctuary was trodden underfoot with the square cubits of the Tabernacle Sanctuary, the predecessor of the Temple.

The product figure of our equation [364.85217] is a fraction short of a star [sidereal] year of 365.256 days. This is an ideal Solar year against the Stars both giving light upon the earth. It is the Sun of Righteousness [Mal. 4:2] with the stars reflecting their light in the world. Another way to view this problem is via the lens of geometry. A geometric view of the Anti-Christ is a facsimile of the anointed Christ-minus a fraction. The power of a counterfeit lies in its closeness in appearance to the original. We must be experts in the field to be able to differentiate between the two, [2 Thess. 2:11-12]. As the Sun of God in the 19th Psalm declares the glory of God the Father, moving along the path of the ecliptic, it takes a Solar year to complete its celestial circuit. If we fail to discern the different prophetic time periods in light of LuniSolar cycles, we miss a major category of truth the Creator has included in His celestial revelation, while opening ourselves to the deception of a strong delusion.

The geometric view of the Anti-Christ is a very close copy of the originalminus a fraction, also fits the measure of what is known geometrically as a gnomon. The gnomon is something fragmentary, diminished from its completed shape. The gnomic growth of the Nautilus shell [https://www.geogebra.org/m/waR6eVCQ] is a classic example of the way teeth, bones and DNA develop in the human body, based on the additive Fibonacci number series. The Phi ratio is also an example of number patterns that dictate growth and progression in Nature.
Christ is called the Capstone or Chief Corner Stone of the Great Pyramid, or the Pyramidion, a model of the Great Pyramid in miniature, resting a top the Pyramid’s apex, completing its full structure. The dimensions of the Pyramidion determine the measurements of the full Pyramid. As individual believers, the faithful make personal pilgrimages in life to the High Priest-the headstone, in whom we gain access to the joyous freedom in fellowship and atonement with God the Heavenly Father, via the High Priest Jesus Christ. This is the Pyramid’s witness, embodied, culminating and represented in Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone. This is witnessed in the Great Pyramid’s structure, in both its descending and ascending passages that terminate at the Pyramid’s central apex lineprophesying of its missing capstone at the summit. [Figure A.]

We should be mindful that Capstones of the grandest Egyptian Pyramids were gold plated to represent the Sun. If the designers of the Great Pyramid, whose dimensions embody the planet Earth on a 1 to 43,200 scale, deliberately omitted the missing cap-stone, then this omission would symbolize our planet in darkness, until the missing light of the world and Sun of God returns, [Mal. 4:2]. Why is the capstone still missing today? Jesus answers this in the gospel of Matthew.

Matt. 21:42-44 
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Thus the symbolism of The Great Pyramid, the last remaining of the original Seven Wonders of the World, still echoes the message of its Biblical prophesy in Isaiah [19:19-21] that; “He shall send them a Savior, and a great one, and he shall deliver them21 And the Lord shall be known to Egypt…” The meek ones who embrace the Lord are rewarded in his kingdom, but those rejecting him get the strong delusion in the kingdom of the beast the [anti-Christ], seen in Rev. 17.

Rev 17:9-14
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. [17 and’s]

Verse 12 links the “power of these 10 kings” in their one hour with the beast. This hour is part of the first part of the solution of the Bible’s Anti-Christ equation in Rev. 9:15, as one of four time periods; “hour, day, month and year.”

As we detailed above, the ancient Babylonian Base 60 number system has survived into modern use, as the system we use for timekeeping because it allows the accurate calculation of many more fractions than our Base 10 system. The application of these trigonometric principles is found in the 3700-year old Plimpton 322 tablet, as the oldest and most accurate tablet of trigonometry in history, working the precepts of the Pythagorean theorem over 1000 years before Pythagoras. Otto Neugebauer argues, each line of the tablet can be generated by a pair of regular numbers, integer divisors of a power of 60. “This property of and q being regular, leads to a denominator that is regular, and therefore to a finite sexagesimal fraction in the first column.” 20  These columns can also be seen as numbers in the sides of a series of right triangles including the 3-4-5 triangle.

Its origin goes back to Abraham who was well versed in the ancient astronomy of Babylon, having taught its principles in his native Ur of the Chaldees, and later in ancient Egypt. This knowledge would have been accessible to Daniel later in Babylon, who taught the Magi. This provided the ancients all they needed to calculate complex equations of trigonometry through the first Century, as we find in this equation. Below we see where the prophet John is told to omit the measures of the outer court, which are given to the Gentiles who tread it underfoot 42 months.

Revelation 11:1, 2
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty {and} two months. 3 And I will give {power} unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred {and} threescore days, [1260] clothed in sackcloth.

The Anti-Christ is here first linked with the Gentile Dominion of Jerusalem, second the number 42 [Rev. 11:2, 13:5]. He also called the “man of the earth,” [Ps. 10:1, 18]. As both numbers along with 1260; [30 x 42] are factors of 6 and 7, depicting a link between “7“-Christ and the “6“-Anti-Christ. Thus 42 is a key to working out of man’s opposition to God. 21

In reference to the period of a “week” from Dan. 9:24-27; Bullinger states; “This “one week” must be future, since the Messiah was “cut off,” [when he sacrificed himself], no prince has come and made a covenant with the Jews in “the midst of the week” causing “the sacrifice and oblation to cease.” This is specifically stated to be the work of a “Prince that shall come” [Dan. 8:11], where it is done by the “little horn” [Dan. 11:31, 12:11], and is the work of the “vile person,” [different names for the same person],” not the Messiah. 22

Both of these princes; Christ and the Anti-Christ divide this “week,” Christ when he became the perfect sacrifice for all mankind, Wednesday in the middle of Passover week in 28 AD, and the Anti-Christ when he removes the Temple sacrifices in the future Jerusalem Temple. The “weekJesus Christ divided was of seven days, while the “week” of the Anti-Christ is one of seven years. The Biblical precedent for these various “weeks” is found in Genesis 29.

Genesis 29:20-30

20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her21 And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. 22 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast. 23 And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her. 24 And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. 25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? 26 And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. 27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also. 29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid. 30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

The words for “seven” [H7651] and “week” [H7620] come from the same Hebrew root word [H7650], “to complete or swear with an oath. It is apparent that the word is related to [H7651] sheba, or shibah-seven as this number was sacred. Oaths and contracts were confirmed by seven sacrifices [Gen. 21:28ff], or seven witnesses/pledges.” 23 According to [1 Sam. 20:17], Shaba refers to human pacts confirmed by an oath. This is what we find here between Laban and Jacob. We also see references to the feast of [seven] weeks- Pentecost [Ex. 34:22Deut. 16:9-16] counted from Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread as a week of seven days. The 7-day Feast of Unleavened Bread always included a Sabbath, after which the first day began the counting of 7 weeks [49 days] towards Pentecost, the 50th day, [Levi. 23:15-22]. This is the same system of counting years providing the basis for Sabbatical years and the Jubilee. 24  Which application of “seven” [days, years, Sabbaths, Jubilees] must be determined from the context.

Jesus Christ confirmed the New Covenant based on his perfect sacrifice for mankind in the midst of Passover Week in 28 AD. But, the Anti-Christ will break a covenant confirmed by him with Israel concerning the restitution of their Temple services and sacrifices. Jesus paid the full price “blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us” [Col. 2:14], as the only man fully qualified, and willing to release humanity from this debt of our sins and bondage representing our exodus from death in the OT Law, that composed the spiritual Cross [1 Cor. 1:17-18], he bore because of his matchless love for us. Christ’s sacrifice for us opened up the first fruits of the gift of holy spirit that was manifested on the Day of Pentecost in 28 AD [I Cor. 15:20-23, Rom. 8:23], beginning of the Grace Administration-the Church Age in which we live today. Based on this ultimate act of love we can walk in the spiritual freedom of the new man-[Col. 3:10], the risen Christ in us, and enjoy our complete deliverance, sharing this “good news” gospel with all who cross our paths. With this background information, we have a Biblical basis for how these two “princes” of Daniel’s prophecies, divide the “week” of Dan. 9:24-27. Revelation 13 below depicts another aspect of how the “beastkingdoms relate to Daniel’s end-time prophecies.

Revelation 13:1-5
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as {the feet} of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who {is} like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty {and} two months.

Here we see a link in Rev. 13 to Daniel’s prophecies about the “beast kingdoms” with the leopard, the bear and the Lion, who are empowered by the Dragon. His kingdoms appear with  a combination of traits of Daniel’s historical “beast kingdoms,” but ruled by the anti-Christ in the Tribulation period, who is diverse from all who went before him. Here power is given to him for 42 months.

Revelation 12:6
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred {and} threescore days. [1260 days]

Revelation 12:6 speaks of the woman being nourished 1260 days. Then in verse 14 below it refers to this woman being nourished for “a time, times and half a time.” Since this phrase is mysterious, one way to gain a better understanding of it, especially where numbers are used, is to study Bible time periods with a common basis in numbers, to see what we can learn. In the context of the anti-Christ we have noted above, the common base 60 linkage between 42 months and 1260 days, so we can see how the period of “a time, times and half a time,” fits into this context as 3.5 years, or half/dividing of this “week” of seven years. [Gen. 29:27-29]

The numbers here depict two ways to divide this “week.” If we are looking at 42 months then we have a “week” of 7 years divided in half, seen also as 1260 days. This of course applies to the Anti-Christ, but with the true Lord Jesus Christ we are referring to the Passover week of 7 days. There is however another way to view this week of years, as both E.W. Bullinger and Guinness observed that if we multiply 1260 by 2 we get 2520, the lowest common multiple of the first 10 digits; the numbers 1-10 will all divide it without remainder. As a result it is the first in the entire series of numbers, that is exactly divisible by all the first ten numerals. 25 This 2520 year period is known as the great “seven times” of prophecy, perhaps because the periods of Gentile dominion over Jerusalem and its Temple in history are “divided” into 2 spans of 1260 years, forming another kind of “week.”  They also point to the future fulfillment of the various 1260 day42 months and a time, times and half a time periods of this week we have listed above, during the Great Tribulation. Since 1260 x 2= 2520, this totals a period 35 days short of 7 years; [2555 days]. Thus we find the basis of a key to unraveling this Gordian knot of prophecy in Daniel and Revelation.

to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony [marturia; witness] of Jesus Christ.

By linking this 1 week period, [H7620] that is omitted from our equation, with the 42 months/1260 days [3.5 year period/time, times and dividing of a time] we observe how the one week relates to both “princes” below; the Beast and the Messiah, who shall confirm [make firm] the covenant with many for “one week”: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.” The main record linked to the “Prince” referring to both the Messiah and the beast pertaining to a “week” is set in Daniel 9:

Daniel 9:25-27
25 Know therefore and understand, {that} from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince {will be} seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troubled times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that will come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof {will be} with a flood [military charge], and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm [make firm] the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations [Shiqquts] he shall make {it} desolate, even until the consummation [completion], and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Jon Nessle explains how this relates to Daniel’s prophecy… of the prince;

“The first use of the word, prince, obviously is referring to the Messiah. However, the second cannot. How could the genuine Messiah destroy the city and sanctuary? So there have to be two different princes in this context. Just like verses 25 and 26 speak of each, verse 27 alternates between the two. Jesus, the Messiah confirmed the covenant during holy week by becoming our Passover. When he was raised from among the dead, the covenant was sealed and the restitution of all things made inevitable. In the midst of that week, on a Wednesday, the Messiah caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease. When he died, the veil of the Temple tore in two from top to bottom, making the way into the holy of holies possible without any more sacrifices or offerings, because the supreme one had occurred. The other prince was Titus the future Emperor of Rome, and his army desecrated the Temple with their abominations, so just like Antiochus IV was a type of the Anti-Christ, so also was Titus. So a first Century occurrence of Daniel’s prophecy is plausible.” 26

Here in reference to Christ, the “week” is a literal 7 days, but in the future the Anti-Christ will confirm a covenant for a “week” that is 7 years. Biblically, this word [H7620] for “week” is used in both senses among other places in [Dan. 10:2-3], it is a literal week of seven days, but with the first use of [H7620] in [Gen. 29:27-28] it is a “week” of seven years. This also provides unique Biblical confirmation that the Messiah was crucified “in the midst of the week” on Wednesday- NOT “Good Friday”!

Prophecies are mysterious, they can be fulfilled just once or alluded to many times. Prophecies coming to pass multiple times often involve different shades of meaning. Bullinger in his discussion of Gnome, the figure of speech; on quotations, mentions a critical point relating to the fulfillment of prophecy, specifically citing the Abomination of desolation
as an example. He concludes that this prophecy could apply to multiple future occasions. When a prophecy is said, therefore, to be “fulfilled,” that exhausts it. In other cases, where that final fulfillment is still future, the quotation is referred to in general terms— “as it is written.” 27 The common error related to prophecy that must be avoided is to take only a part of the prophecy that is fulfilled, while including the entire prophecy that remains open in the same category. The focus of the Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation is not only on its 3 key numbers, but also the omitted term for a “week” in [Rev. 9:15Dan. 9:24-27], as it can mean seven days or seven years depending on which “prince” it applies to. With Christ it refers to a literal week of seven days, and in the midst of that week he was crucified, ceasing the sacrifices, becoming the once and everlasting perfect sacrifice for all mankind. But with the future Anti-Christ the “week” appears to be of 7 years during the Great Tribulation of the same period.

Daniel 8 below provides the details of the other numerical aspects of our Anti-Christ equation, being the 2300 days, relating to the time the Sanctuary was trodden under-foot by Antiochus IV in 170-64 BC, marked by a Blood Moon TetradOne of the traits of the beast, who is also called a “prince” is that he will magnify himself against the true anointed prince, as Daniel tells us:

Daniel 8:11-17
Yea, he magnified {himself} even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered. 13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; [2300] then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. 15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. 16 And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

From what Dr. Bullinger taught us about prophecy, unless Scripture declares it was “fulfilled,-exhausting it,” there is still a potential for predicting similar future events. We find an example of this referenced by Jon Nessle; “The “Abomination of Desolation” refers to the pagan desecration of the Temple‘s altar. The Jewish temple has existed in two forms: Solomon’s Temple which existed until 586 BC when it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. Even though the 1st Temple was destroyed, the term “Abomination” was not applied to its state of destructionNebuchadnezzar just destroyed the temple. He did not desecrate or pollute it. The prophecies said the Temple would be destroyed and there would also be “desolation.”28

A.D. 70 Titus Destroys Jerusalem

Daniel 11:31
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily {sacrifice}, and they shall place the abomination [Shiqquts] that maketh desolate.

After Nebuchadnezzar’s destruction of the temple, where he burnt it and Jerusalem lay desolate for 50 years, the 2nd temple was rebuilt and finished during the reign of the Persian king Darius. Nessle affirms “the prophecy in Dan. 11, was a reference to Antiochus Epiphanes, now past; but this neither fulfilled nor exhausted the prophecy; that waits for the yet future revelation of one who will fill it full: Each is true as part of the general fulfillment; but neither contains the whole truth embodied in the fullness of the prophetic record.”29 This is also the case with the 70 AD destruction of the Temple by prince Titus, the future Roman Emperor. As Rev. Nessle summarizes it:

“Thus Antiochus became a type for the Anti-Christ in the 1st desecration, Titus in the second, both of which will be echoed in the last.”28 “So Jesus’ prophesy in the Olivet Discourse involved a 3rd fulfillment which agreed with Daniel 9 and it did indeed happen within a generation. The Romans did desecrate the holy of holies on the day the Temple was destroyed as the legionaries sacrificed to their standards in the Holy of Holies.” 30

Matthew 24:1,2
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to {him} for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

The second Temple was destroyed in a flood, i.e. a military charge in 70 AD and the abomination of desolation occurred which persists still today. Jesus foretold that the Temple would be destroyed and not one stone upon another. That occurred in 70 AD in the Grace Administration. “So far we have seen that there are two occurrences of this prophesied event. The first involved Antiochus IV’s desecration of the second Temple and altar which ended in 164 BC. The Feast of Hanukkah celebrates this Temple cleansing. Another is still future just before the Great Tribulation.” Also, there appears to be a 3rd fulfillment. Daniel also prophesied about this in a future setting. 31

And from the time {that} the daily {sacrifice} shall be taken away, and the abomination [Shiqquts] that makes desolate set up, {there will be} a thousand two hundred and ninety days. [1290]

We know that this must be referring to another fulfillment because the time span differs from Daniel 8. Here it is 1290 days, there it is 2300. So this reference appears to be still in the future in the Administration of the Revelation period. 32  There will be a 3rd Temple in the future as indicated by [2 Thess. 2:4 Rev. 11:1, 2] as Jesus implied in Matthew 24.

and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

In the future desecration of the Temple altar, unlike Antiochus IV, who sacrificed a pig, keeping it in an unclean state for 3 more years, the Anti-Christ himself will sit in the Temple of God portraying himself as God, as Jesus said would occur in the future before the Great Tribulation.

Matthew 24:15-22
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand) 16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

So then just like Daniel 9 and Revelation 12 were “composite” prophecies having portions coming to pass at three different times, it looks like Matthew 24 may be also. Here we see the context of Matt. 24, references both to Titus‘ destruction of the 2nd Temple, and the future abomination of desolation. 33

As we summarize this study, we have seen how the Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation consists primarily of three numbers; 666, 1260 and 2300. The key to deciphering these numbers seems to be bound up in their relation to the basis of the luni-solar cycles, specifically the eclipse cycle of the Saros. As the Almighty framed His Temporal Order on these cycles, in the five time periods found in Rev. 9:15, we gain amazing insight into His order as we compare the natural order of celestial cycles with the prophetic cycles of Bible’s Anti-Christ Equation. The idea that the hyper-accurate astronomical cycles prophesied here at a time before the precision modern scientific instruments existed, is proof of their divine inspiration, that has since been verified through modern technology. Since Daniel and the Apostle John prophesied these untraceable cycles long before the knowledge or ability to verify or even measure to these periods to this level of accuracy existed, we are left with the only logical answer that supports our Almighty Omniscient and Omnipotent Creator, Who designed it all. There is no human intelligence or coincidence of chance that can account for this.

As we can see the handwriting on the wall for the nearness of the end times in our last days, we need not have any fear, of the Tribulation, or the spirit of Antichrist, which has been at work for centuries. We have seen how active this spirit has been as it remains active today, since the Temple is still being trodden underfoot by the Gentiles as we speak. The Prophecies of the future Temple still need to be fulfilled before the future Anti-Christ can cause his abomination in this Temple prior to the start of the Tribulation. The purpose of this study is NOT fear motivation, but from a Biblical Astronomy viewpoint we can appreciate the accuracy of the celestial cycles the Creator set in the heavens at Creation, and trust with unshakable confidence that His Word always comes true. Through the irrefutable evidence inherent in His Prophetic Word, and the numbers linked to it, we have awesome evidence of the Mighty Hand of the Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ. As The Lord shared with his apostles when they encountered tribulation…

John 16:31-33

31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

As we stand victoriously in Christ, we are Over-comers also!!

Also if we add 75 years to 1260, we get the 1335 years of [Dan 12:11-12] expressed in Days, and 75 years is exactly the difference between 2520 lunar years and the same number of solar years. This shows the rate of Solar and Lunar cycle conversion to calendar years according to these numbers of Biblical Prophecy.
