The Cherubim Constellations and the Way of the Tree of Life.

Welcome to the January 2026 Blog, and Happy New Year Everyone! The above banner for this teaching denotes the Plant, Animal, Human & Spirit Kingdoms of Life as four main Life categories where the Creator orders life on Earth. A theme of the topic reviews how varieties of four-fold Bible categories reflect a depth of truths in a rich comparison. We begin with the four Royal Tribes of the 12 Tribes of Israel.

Jacob’s Prophecy in Gen. 49 over his 12 sons is an initial instance where the 12 tribes of Israel are disclosed in greater detail than in Gen. 13:15 & 15:3-18, with Abram. Gen. 49:3-4 identifies Reuben-unstable as water-with Aquarius, Judah with Leo and the lion’s ruling Sceptre, [Gen. 49:8-10], Dan as a judge of his people, as a serpent [Gen. 49:16-17], and Joseph’s bow abode in Strength, Gen. 49:22-26 [H386-permanence, strong H6338-9 solidify & refinethe best gold] with Taurus the Bull.

In Balaam’s Prophecy,
this same imagery was repeated in the prophecy of Balaam on Israel’s destiny. He mentions that Israel shall pour water out of his buckets (Reuben/Water Bearer),he lay down as a lion” (Judah/ Lion), he has the strength of an unicorn” (Joseph/Bull), and shall break their bones as Eagle’s do as their claws crush their prey, or constrictor serpents (Dan; Num. 24:7-9). The fact that all four figures link to 4 Royal Tribes as corner-stones shows that this prophecy refers to constellations linked with these four main tribes of Israel at the four corners of the ecliptic, in Balaam’s prophecy below.

Numbers 24:5-9-tells us here of Balaam’s Celestial Messianic prophecy;
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O IsraelAs the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the Lord hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the watersHe shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exaltedGod brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrowsHe couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

In verse 8 above the Hebrew word for “unicorn” is [H7214reem] also found in the Song of Moses, where it refers not only to a single horn but two horns of a bull. The root of Reem is Ra’am [7213] meaning to rise, to be high or lifted up. The Strength [H8443toapoth] of a unicorn, is found here and Num. 23:22 & Ps. 22:11-21 refers figuratively to strong bulls that compassed the Lord on the cross, with ravening and roaring lions as the assembly of the wicked inclosed him, peircing his hands and feet. When Jesus was poured out like water in Ps. 22:14 even as Aquarius the water bearer, Jesus bared his soul in sacrifice for mankind.

Job 39:9-10Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee? 11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
12 Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

Deut. 33:16-17

13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Josephand upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Here in Moses’ Song, he uses the same language found in Numbers 24 in the horns of the “reem” or “Unicorn,” as the KJV renders it. It is common knowledge that the popularly imagined unicorn, the mythical beast, is not pictured with more than one horn, like the Bull is. These Bull horns are identified with the sons of Joseph in verse 17. The Bull’s head is also one of the four heads of the Cherubim. The visions of Ezekiel tell us more;

[Ezek. 1:5-6Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearancethey had the likeness of a manAnd every one had four faces, and every one had four wings

According to Ezekiel the Cherubim each had four faces and four wings. Since angels operate as intermediaries between God and men, we find their traits in the Cherubim, first with four wings and faces at the four corners of heaven. They also had four hands of a man under each of their wings, depicting their service to God in heaven for men on Earth.

Figure 3. The Four Faces, Wings and Hands of the Cherubim

There is another element of dominion seen in the Cherubim in its four faces. In Man who is created after God’s image, with earthly dominion, the Lion as king of the wild animal kingdom. With the Bull as the king of domesticated animals, the Eagle is the king of the fowl of the air, [Gen1:26-28]. As we see in the graphic above, the Cherubim embody these four cornerstone signs of the Hebrew Mazzaroth at it’s four compass points and Cardinal Directions.

Exodus 36 gives us details of the colors utilized in the veil of the Tabernacle depicting the Cherubim, as we consider some of this color symbolism in the services of the Tabernacle and Temple.

Exodus 36:35-36 And he made a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with Cherubims made he it of cunning work. And he made there-unto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.

The veil hung from four pillars, representing the terrestrial number, and the earth’s orientation to the four Cardinal Directions and points of the compass. The symbolism of the number four is prominent in the imagery above, not only in the four pillars holding the Tabernacle’s veil, but also in the four colors of the Tabernacle shown in the veil. The four colors are blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linenBlue represents peace, showing us the presence of God and is seen in the Son of God as the Prince of PeacePurple represents royalty, and is seen in Christ the King of Kings. Scarlet or Red represents blood, and is seen in the Man Jesus Christ, the high priest offering the perfect sacrifice and sin offering of his own life for our redemption. The linen was White, a symbol of the purity and righteousness of the Servant of God. Thus the four colors of the Tabernacle collectively embody the four-fold ministry of Christ as the chief cornerstone in the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, showing his dominion over all Creation. As we can seen, these four pillars link to the four Cardinal Directions, known as the equinox & Solstices on the ecliptic  and Equator as these four-corners of the heavens, square the circle of the ecliptic.

This Heavenly depiction of the course that God set before the Lord Jesus Christ is seen in Ps. 19:4-6.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bride-groom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a raceHis going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

In Fig. 4 below we find a rendition of the Son/Sun of God running his course consisting of the four Cherubim at the Cardinal points of the Sun’s course on the Ecliptic, [Mal. 4:2-3].

Figure 4. The Four Celestial Signs at the four points of the Compass; Man, Eagle, Bull and Lion, with Christ in the center running his course.

The Four Cardinal Points

Ps. 19:7-8 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting [7725] the soul: [5315] the testimony [5715of the Lord is sure, [539] making wise [2449] the simple.
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: [3820] the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Ps. 19:7-8 shows us a pairing of the Heart and Soul so in the trials of our race we recover ourselves as we return in fellowship, and repentance to God in response to the daily challenges we face.

Ps. 19:14 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, [3820] be acceptable in thy sight, Lord, my strength, [6697] and my redeemer.

The pairing of Heart and Strength [Ps. 18:1-2] shows The Lord as our Rock-one of the 7 Genesis titles of Christ in the OT. As we rely on the Lord’s Strength there is nothing we cannot overcome in our race.

Thus, the placement of all four of the royal stars in the cornerstone signs is consistent with the symbolism of emotional, spiritual, mental and physical aspects of all living souls.

Figure 5. Aquila the Eagle above the Serpent-Serpens.

Image result for constellation Aquila images

Ezekiel’s vision at the river Chebar describes these living creatures, specifically their four faces, matching the signs at the four Cardinal Directions of the ecliptic. As noted regarding the North, it was omitted for various reasons, the main likely due to the idolatry of Dan’s tribe (Judges 18:30-31). Manasseh was added to replace Dan to maintain 12 tribes, but omitting Dan was not only due to their idolatry, but also because this tribe led the other ten northern tribes into idolatry. This is why in the four faces of the Cherubimthe serpent was replaced with the Eagle-Aquila the serpent’s natural enemy. As we see this in Fig. 5 graphic above with the decan Aquila pictured directly over the tail of the serpent-Serpens, held by Ophiuchus.

In the North we find the face of the decan Aquila the Eagle [Ezek. 1:10], in place of his natural born enemy, the Serpent/Scorpion, seen as the only triple sign of the man-Ophiuchus, as he wrestles Serpens the Serpent, while stamping out the light of the star Antares, in the heart of Scorpius the scorpionEzekiel’s vision is also recorded below.

This analysis of the Four Royal Stars is not only at the basis of the Celestial Gospel, but also in light of the First and Great Commandment in Mark 12:28-34, as we have just seen in Ps. 19

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first of all commandments29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, it namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but He33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

For Mankind to be unified in his Love for His God, he must utilize ALL his Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength. The sooner we realize this four fold unity of man, the sooner we can reap the benefits of a unified life in our humble  service to God. All who answer God’s Call, to serve with our All, in these 4 categories elevate ourselves into a maximum loading zone of God’s Miracle Abundance

Several ancient cultures designated four bright stars in the zodiac as the four corners of the earth or the four royal stars.” At the time the constellations were drawn by Shem, these four stars were near the sun’s location in the sky on the 1st day of autumn, winter, spring and summer, regarded as the most important locations in the sky. These four stars were well known at the four corners of the ecliptic, the first was a bright red star, Antares that anciently marked the autumnal equinox, in the heart of Scorpius, as the sun appeared the first day of autumn.

The next bright star Fomalhaut, marked winter, followed by Aldebaran, a very bright red star set 180.0° opposite on the ecliptic from Antares, marked the Spring Equinox, as Antares marked the Autumn. Finally, the bright star Regulus, located almost exactly on the ecliptic, marked Summer. Regulus, was “the Prince,” and traditional leader of these four royal stars.[n]

Each of these four royal stars are in a single sign of the Mazzaroth’s 12 signs on the eclipticAntares in Fig. 5a, in the heart of the Scorpion (Scorpius). In AquariusFomalhaut the Southern Fish-eye is seen at the end-stream of water poured out by Aquarius, in Fig. 6a below. We find Aldebaran-the Bull’s-eye in (Taurusreem) in Fig. 8 below. Lastly, Regulus is located in the Lion’s heart of (Leo), in Fig. 7 belowthe king of the royal stars. These four are the corner-stone constellations not only forming the square base of the Great Pyramid, with 4 tribes/apostles mirrored skyward as the chief corners of the ecliptic’s Great Square, also as a basis of the idea of squaring the circle,’ or ‘cubing the sphere in geometry. These truths provide a handle to grasp the Gospel in the Stars.

One of these ‘royal stars intersects in two of these constellationsAntares is not only the heart of the Scorpion, but also is found under heel of the Serpent-holder (Ophiuchus), [o] who treads on the Scorpion’s heartencircled by the serpent (Serpens), while crushing the head and heart of Scorpius-Antares. This pairing of the Serpent-Serpens with Scorpius-Antares points to different aspects of the enemy, as the Scorpion embodies the serpent’s seed -the main opposition to Christ, or anti-christ as Jesus himself related to the Pharisee’s  in John 8:13-59, in his 3 uses of father” [G3962-pater or parent] in v. 44;

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, [way of Cain] and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

We see a 2nd pairing in a bright star in the Southern fish-eyeFomalhautin Aquarius’ stream, in the Head of the Southern Fish (Piscis Australis), a symbol of the mind and mental powers of Man[p] This great fish is pictured drinking in the stream of living waters from Aquarius, but these are not the only stars sharing common themes in these signs. We see too a star named “Saiph,” with the meaning “bruised” [Gen. 3:15] in Ophiuchus heel to opethe Planisphere Axis, [figure 8 belowmatched at the other end by a star of the same name in Orion’s foot, [Fig. 6]-crushing the serpent near the end of this Axis. Here the ManOphiuchus wrestles the serpent for a Crown of dominion, that it stole from the 1st Adam in the temptation of Eden’s Garden. This crown is found in the stars just above the serpent’s head, which he gained from the 1st Adam temporarily, but has already lost to the 2nd Adam-Jesus Christ, when Jesus initially conquered death at his Ressurection and Ascension. This case of the Scorpion/Serpent pair, presents a 3rd Cherubim constellation tied to them in Fig. 5a above-the Eagle (Aquila), seen above the serpent’s tail. The Eagle typifies the enemy of the serpent and is often shown in flight with the Serpent in its claws, mirrors the Serpent Holder crushing Scorpius under-foot. What follows is evidence of 6 Bible categories where four fold symbolism is apparent.

i. Four Faces of the Cherubim. Both Ezekiel & John the Revelator teach us on the Cherubim in agreement with the four cornerstone constellations. Ezekiel describes creatures with four faces: the face of a lion, of an Ox, of a Man and  an Eagle, later reveals them as a special class of angel-Cherubim (Ezek. 1:10, 10:14, 20-22). The first three of those forms correspond to the Lion, the Bull, and the Water Bearer constellations. The 4th corresponds to the Eagle, the decan often substituted for the serpent/scorpion when symbolizing the celestial aspect of the fourth sign. [Prov. 30:19] This relates to the same substitution for Dan-a Tribe called serpent by the way, [Gen. 49:17] & adder in the path and 1st tribe presenting idolatry to Israel’s other 11 tribes.

John the Revelator also describes four creatures, each of which is found on one side of the throne of God. One was like a lion, one like a Bull, one like a Man, and one like a flying Eagle (Rev. 4:7). Here we see the same 4 animal lifeforms linked to the 4 Royal Signs, but in reverse order seen near the ecliptic. This not only keeps the leader first, but also has implications for the reverse order of ecliptic signs related to Pecessional Ages, seen below in the 12 oxen of the Temple supporting the Brasen Sea on their backs.

ii. Four Principal Tribes of IsraelJacob (Israel) had 12 sons, and each of them is linked in God’s Word with one of the 12 signs of the zodiac[q] Hebrew scholars have shown uncertainty in a correspondence of all twelve, but the four links to the royal constellations are clear from Scripture. They are the four main  tribes: Reuben, Judah, Dan, and Joseph.

Figure 6a. Aquarius and the Southern Fish. [r.]

The Message in the Stars - Aquarius - Berean Insights

The Water Bearer pours out rivers of living waters into the Southern Fish.

Each of those four tribes is associated with one of the royal constellations in the blessing given them by Jacob or Moses. Reuben was told he is “unstable as water,” alluding to the Water Bearer. The name Reuben, means “Behold a son,” also ties him to Aquarius, among the zodiac signs, having the figure of a man. He is also said as being over the “excellency of power” (Gen. 49:3-4), perhaps a reference to his pouring out the Holy Spirit symbolized in the everlasting waters of Life.

Figure 7. Leo the Lion

Leo the Lion constellation

Judah is a lion’s whelp (Gen. 49:9) ties him to the Lion. Moreover, John calls Christ as “the lion of the tribe of Judah” (Rev. 5:5), establishing the linkage of Judah to the lion. The Lion embodies a King, and Judah began a royal lineage through that the Davidic line of Kings came. The name Judah means “praised,” linked to this line of kings in the Christ-Line via him (especially Christ) who is to be praised by all.

Figure 8. Ophiuchus wrestling the Serpent [Serpens] being stung in one heel by [Gen. 3:15] Scorpius, as his other foot crushes Scorpio’s heart. #Bullnote.

the serpent scorpion

Dan shall be a serpentthat bites the horse heels” (Gen. 49:17), which parallels the symbolism of the Scorpion/Serpent, depicted stinging the Serpent Bearer in the heel. The name Dan means “judge” and the serpent symbolizes the wisdom of a judge. The serpent in Eden was acknowledged as  being one of the wisest of His creatures. For example, the Lord has admonished his servants to be “wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” The kind of wisdom referred to especially cites that of being a good judgeAntares; the bright star in the Scorpion, found in it’s heart, is acknowledged as the seat of wisdom. For example, the Lord put wisdom into the heart of King Solomon so that he could judge his people wisely (2 Chron. 1:11-12, 1 Kings 10:24; cp, Exo. 26:2, Ecc. 8:5, Job 38:36). [See Heart Chart in the Summary below]

Figure 9. Taurus the Bull with the Pleiades star cluster and Orion. # [https://arabiannightsrum.com/stars/winter-constellations/taurus/]

Taurus bull constellation

Finally, Joseph embodies wild ox, as Joseph’s son’s; Ephraim & Manasseh are compared to its two horns; (Deut. 33:17). The Hebrew word refers to an extinct species of pre-flood wild ox-much bigger than its modern cousin, with 2 long forward pointing horns, evident in the sign of Taurus the Bull. The bright star Aldebaran in the Bull’s eye; is the symbol of a seer (one who sees”). Joseph was a great seer, so a Bull is appropriate for his sign. The name Joseph means Jehovah has added,” perhaps referring to his multitude of descendants in his sons. Thus, each of the four main tribes of Israel are explicitly cited in Jacob’s blessings in one of these 4 Cornerstone Constellations.

iii. Banners and DirectionsEach of 12 tribes of Israel had a flag or banner as its sign. The Hebrew word for “signtranslatedensign” in the KJV Bible (Num. 2:2), but Hebrew scholars clarify the flag’s ensign also denoting zodiac signs. In Ancient tradition, the figure of a man was seen on the banner of Reuben, a lion on Judah’s flag, a serpent on Dan’s, while on Ephraim a Bull for Joseph’s- (Sons, who took his place). Israel’s camp, structure depicts these four banners facing the four directions: Judah facing East, Reuben facing South, Ephraim facing West, and Dan facing North, (Num 2:310,18,25).  [Skip]

iv. Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength. The four cornerstone constellations also reflect 4D mankind in the symbolic four aspects of living souls: the emotional, spiritual, mental and physical. An example where the Lord acknowledges the four traits of life is when he tells us to serve him in All our heartsoulmind and strength” (Mk. 12:28-31). These four aspects of life refer to the complete & perfect 4D expression of loving God in ALL our human mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical traits. This 1st and Great Commandment helps perfect our serve not only in Loving God, but also our neighbors. Loving God fully in all 4 categories, naturally overflows into loving our neighbors unconditionally. God called us to be superconquerors for Him, and we can’t fulfill our calling until all 4 areas are fully committed in God’s Love. As Caleb [Num. 14:24, 32:11-12] chased God fully entered the Promised Land with Joshua as only 2 Israeli spies of the 12 returning with a good scouting report. So we gain [Deut. 32:30] a one that Chases a 1000mind-set, required to finish our race vertically and horizontally. The All or nothing Mentality” is the only proper response to what Jesus Christ has already laid down, in his life-for us! As we serve God with our All-we will see miraculous leaps forward running with God in Christ.

v. Four Hebrew Tabernacle Colors. The Lord commanded Moses to use four colors of cloth repeated throughout the Tabernacleespecially to embroider the images of the Cherubim. They were bluepurplescarlet, and linen, or (white), nearly always stated in that order (Ex. 26:31, 36; 27:16; 28:5-15). Those are reflected in same four colors of the Cherubim, since the Cherubim and the Tabernacle both play roles related to the Ark of the Covenant

viThe four elements are also represented by four colors. Red seen in fire, blood, and emotions, White represents the spiritual, just as white clothing embodies purity used in baptisms and sacred ceremoniesPurple represents royalty seen in Leo the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Christ-line via King David. The water is blue symbolizing Peace and holy spirit. These colors are also found in the Hebrew Tabernacle repeated throughout, especially embodied in the Cherubim as a special class of angel. [Ex. 26:31, 36, 27:16, 28:5-15]

A strong sign of these four aspects in the stars is their placement in each of the royal star signsRegulus is located in the heart of the Lion and the color linked with Judah/East/Lion is red. The heart is considered the center of the emotions and red is the color of blood/firethe element linked to emotions. Red is linked to Adam the first man/servant of God in the Gospel of Mark embodies the emotional aspect of mankind.

The ancient Greeks described Taurus as a snow-white bull. Aldebaran, the 1st magnitude red star is located in the eye of the Bull. The eye is symbolic of a Seer, as was Joseph of Egypt, linked with the Bull. Thus, the Bull is symbolic of spiritual strength, especially the gift ministry of being a Prophet/Seer. The Bull-Taurus, is a wild ox described by the Greeks as having a hide as white as snow and two long forward pointing horns like polished bronze or gold. The red bright star in the Bull’s eye, represents a seer, as our Lord and Savior is the best and greatest prophet and seer.

Taurus the prominent Charging wild Ox with his red-eye Aldebaran.

Blue is symbolic of peaceful tranquility, that goes with the wisdom of a good judge. When applied with a gift ministry it is the wisdom that is from above, which is first pure, peaceable and gentleeasy to be entreatedfull of mercy and good fruits [Gal. 5:22] as part of the fruits of righteousnesssown in Peace of them that make peace. This is how we can emulate the Prince of Peace, to promote true and genuine peace and Justice.

Fomalhaut-the fish’s-eye, is the star located in the head of the Southern Fish. This aligns with the mental ability. The color linked with this direction may vary: it can be blue, representing water. As we utilize Tabernacle colors, their Scriptural basis provides a solid foundation of God’s Word from which we  draw our conclusions, to avoid speculation, to allow God’s Word speak for itself. This is the best approach to God’s Word to let its wisdom come to the surface, allowing all Hermuentical contextual keys their proper voice in revealing God’s truth.

Antares is found in the heart of the Scorpion. The heart is the seat of wisdom, and the scorpion/serpent symbolizes wisdom. The heart/chest too symbolizes physical/emotional strength. There are several heroes in the constellations with one foot on the head of a serpent with the other foot having been wounded. For example, the Leo’s Paws are over the head of the Fleeing Serpent (Hydra), and Hercules’ foot is firmly planted on the head of the Dragon (Draco), at the North Pole. We find this imagery also as Ophiuchus’ Foot crushes the Scorpion’s heart.

The Scorpion with his Red heartAntares

Thus, the placement of all four of the royal stars in their cornerstone signs is consistent with the symbolism of emotional, spiritual, mental and physical aspects of all living souls.

It is Christ as the Crown and Apexfirstborn of all Creation, the Second Adam, who embodies the fullness of the Great Pyramid [Isa. 28:16], who crowns the superstructure of both the physical [in Jerusalemand spiritual Temples–in the New Jerusalem [spiritual body] of his churches in the Bride of Israel and the NT Church of the Body of believer’s in Christ, [Eph. 2:18-22]. In this way, the light of heaven is shed on the earth in Christ, the Son/Sun of righteousness, [Ps. 19, Mal. 4:2] ruling over all Creation as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

[Gen. 1:14-17]. We also find this pattern of four corners of the ecliptic in star & planet signs surrounding Christ’s Birth.

The Tabernacle’s eastern door embodies the waythe truth, and the life, of John 14:6, in Jesus Christ as the light of the world, and the door of the sheep, the Good Shepherd as the [Jn10], true way that leads unto life. [I Cor. 15:41denotes 3 levels of glory in celestial cycles of the Sun, Moon and Stars, that order our temporal world. As these ecliptic signs at the four corners reflect temporal and spiritual truths, the signs found at the North Pole embody angels of light in heaven, but those at the South Pole tell tales of the underworld, unto destruction. Thus, the Cherubim’s 4 faces, include human and angelic elements of both darkness [Ps. 22] and light, at the four corner-stones of the ecliptic and equator. The Gen. 3:15 Planishere Axis in the Promised Seed of the womanChrist, the (eagle), of the Messiah’s holy line and natural enemy vsSeed of the Serpentas Scorpius embodies the serpent’s seed unto perdition, in the spiritual conflict of the ages.

The truths of Jesus as the Shepherd are vividly seen in 3 Psalms; 2223 and 24, showing the sufferings and glory of the Lord. As Prophet, the Good Shepherd gave his life not only for the sheep, but for the safe-keeping of all people who would come unto him; [John 10:11]. As the High Priest and the Great Shepherd, he is the first, last and only door, the alpha and omega, providing the way of access via his Crucifixion, & Resurrection [Heb. 13:20] into life, and a genuine spiritual fellowship with our Heavenly Father. As King and Chief Shepherd, his return shows us his final glorycoming as King of Kings & Lord of Lords, [I Pet. 5:4, Rev. 19:16]. As Auriga eastern shepherd, Jesus Christ embodies the name Jehovah-Nissi: a redemptive name for God protecting His people, [Ps. 23:1].

The Door, or gate opening to the holiest of all was covered by a veil in both the Temple and TabernacleThe veil of the Tabernacle, which hung on four pillars, separated the holy of the holies, the central point of God’s presence among His people, from the holy placeWoven into the fabric of this linen veilCherubim were depicted, as a special class of angels who are always prominent in God’s throne-room. They are uniquely pictured with 4 faces  that correspond to thefour royal signsof the zodiac, ruling these four-corners or celestial pillars of heaven, as seen in Balaam’s Prophecies in Numbers 24:7-9, that opened this teaching.

In the ancient Middle East, the Divine was often represented as the sun or a circle, thus it is likely that the mathematical concept of Pi was thought to be a “Divine signature considered sacred and holy. In an analysis to document the numerical structure of the Psalms, it was discovered that the design of the Psalms contain several ratios of Pi, many to higher degrees of accuracy. As  the Hebrews were not likely to have knowledge of the accurate ratios of pi, they provide evidence of Divine inspiration in ScriptureThere is strong evidence that these ratios of Pi directly refer to 3 points; i. as sacred numbers three and seven, iithe number of letters in the Hebrew alphabet, & iiiGod’s sacred names in Hebrew Scripture. The transcendental number Pisymbolized by an infinite number series, is a well suited number to embody the Infinite Divine.

In the roots of Sacred Geometry, a relation of the Diameter and Circumference, found in Pi, symbolize the names of GodElohim and Jehovah, with Elohim, as the Creator-God, symbolizing the Circumference, of a curved line perimeter, equal to the circumference of a circle around His Creation, while Jehovah, is a straight line Diameter, of God in relation to Creation. A Pi radius equal to the Height of the Pyramid’s Apex & Chief Corner-stone in Figure 12 below, exhibits a geometric concept of God in Christ, whose perfect sacrifice not only delivered mankindbut all Creation too from corrupting bondageinto the glorious liberty of the Children of God. [Rom. 8:9-23]

We find basic elements of the concept of “squaring the circle” as the Circle’s diameter is equal to the circumference around a Sphere inside a Cube. This is expanded in I Kgs 7:23-30, inside square base of oxen holding the Laver of the circular brasen sea. This idea has survived centuries in the sacred domed architecture of many temples and churches, with a circular dome inside the square Temples, where heaven and earth meet. We also note that the Holy of the Holies, holding the Ark of the Covenant- a perfect cube, inside a double- square ground-plan of the Hebrew Tabernacle, follows this idea. In Plate 2 below we also find four examples of this “squared circle ground plan” in New Jerusalem, Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid [expanded in Fig. 12 below], and the Temple’s Molten Sea, expounded upon below.

This provided a divine foundation of many practices in the “sacred geometry” of the ancient world. The practical approximation of Pi in the ancient world of sacred architecture, has preserved this concept of the Creator God in relation to His Creation, in a systematic application of the principles of sacred geometry, based on septenary units of measure. According to Livio Stechini, in this system the; circumference was the ratio of 22/7 of the diameter; this approximation of Pi rendered (3. 1/7, or 3.142857) is still in use today as an adequate substitute in many problems of engineering.” 8  As Beckmann points out, “Archimedes started with a hexagon and progressively doubling the number of sides he arrived at a polygon of 96 sides, which yielded Pi as 3 1/7, or 3.142857.” 9

IKgs. 7 is the only direct reference to a measurement of Pi in Scripture, that uses an approximate value of 3 for PiThis is key as 3 [spiritually complete] &    7 [spiritually perfect] are sacred numbers throughout Scripture. If a cubit represents the diameter of a circle, then 3 cubits are viewed as a perfect representation of its circumference. An exact measure of 3 cubits specifies  the altar of Moses’ Tabernacle: since the altar of burnt offering was 5 cubits wide5 cubits long & 3 cubits high (see Ex. 27:1, 38:1). This altar is linked to a circle“ in Psalms 26:1-11, called the Integrity Psalm[H8537 repeated in v1 & 11I will wash my hands in innocence, and I will compass Your altar, Jehovah (Ps. 26:6).

Rev. Nessle discusses “1st Century Paragraphs” found in the Hebrew Scriptural Text, that become apparent as a type of figure that utilizes repitition to control the context. These ruling figures govern how the Hebrew text opens itself to us. He calls this type of figure a “bookend,” as the repeated words mark limits or boundaries written in the original inspired text, bracketed between repeated two words. This section sandwiched between the repetition also discloses the practical side of “walking in mine integrity” repeated in Ps. 26:1&11.# Here the Psalmist opens his heart to the Lord’s examination to prove the reins of his heart [3820] in the truth of His lovingkindness in the 7 aspects of compassing the Altar of the Lord.”

The word for compass is the same as the word for “circle in Hebrew. As a 5 cubit square altar- it’s diagonal or circle’s diameter is near 7 cubits. Thus, the circumference of this circle circumscribing the altar is 22 cubits, representing the convergent ratio 22/7 for Pi. 16#

Verse 6 tells us when the Word keeps our Heart in the 7 aspects of compassing his altar, then our acts will be pure. Ps. 26:8 says he has loved the habitation of His House, as a result of compassing His Altar, leading to a dwelling place of God’s honor. As v. 9 tells us he gathers not his soul [5315] with sinners. Thus we find Psalm 26 pairing the Heart and Soul of the believer in compassing the altar of the Lord. Another detail Jon pointed out in these bookend phrases is their tense; in Ps. 26:1 seen in I have walked referring to a past tense, while v. 11 says; “I will walk” in the future tense. This exhibits an enduring cycle of faithfulness leading to a lifestyle of spiritual growth that is likened to the Phi Ratio, as we find in the Geometric Growth of the Church in the Book of Acts, as the believers abode in fellowship of the doctrine of the Apostles in the 1st summary statement of [Acts 2:42-47], where they abode in one accord in the Temple, sharing meals house to house with gladness and singleness of Heart. Ren Manetti did a masterful job of laying out the growth stages of the structural staircase in the Book of Acts that blessed us all so much! This Phi ratio geometric growth spiral upon which the Plant, Animal, Human and spiritual growth geometry of  believer’s in the Church body of Christ thrive, allows us to expand to greater vistas in our heart, soul, mind and strength, in vertical and horizontal committment, and not err therein, as this Way of Holiness is covered with a protective Canopy under the Hand of God.

I liken this Cycle of Faithfulness to The Way [1870-derek] of holiness in [Isa. 35:8, 3:12, 28:755:7-9, 63:17Ps. 1:6, 95:10, 119:118] as the way of life [Gen. 18: 19, 38:21, 45:23-24, Num. 20:17, 22:21 King’s Highway, 1Kgs. 2:3, Job 26:13-14, 40:19, Prov. 8:2222:6, Jer. 3:10-13, Mt. 22:29, Heb. 3:10, Js. 5:19-20]

Isa. 35:And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err [7686] therein.

we find in Isa. 28 below, refers to Jesus Christ as the precious cornerstone, [1 Pet. 2:4-8, Rom. 9:32, Matt. 16:18Jesus is the Rock upon which he builds his church, and the chief cornerstone, with the apostles and prophets, framed together into the holy spiritual temple in the Lord, [Eph2:20-22, Rev. 21:14-27]. We also find reference to the measuring line of the foundations of this corner-stone in Isa28:16-17;

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stonea tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, [qav] and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

This is one main reason why the Great Pyramid embodies so many added geometric dimensions of the Earth, like the Earth’s mean solar orbit radius, and the Sun’s mean radius, which are only two of a longer list.#17

In v. 17; Judgment also will I lay to the line= [H6957–qav or kav] and 17#
righteousness to the plummet, so that the Lord’s righteous standard of judgment is upheld in all circumstances in the architecture of His spiritual temple, [I Cor. 3:9-17]. Even with the apex of the Great Pyramid as its chief cornerstone, establishes the perfect standard of measure for all this edifice, in the four cornerstones at its base, so Jesus Christ sets the perfect standard of righteous judgment. The graghics of the Great Pyramid in Figure 12 above depict how it embodies the geometric squaring of the circle,” and how this concept seen at the basis of the idea of the Temple as God’s the meeting place with Man on Earth reflected in Heaven.

The lower 2 images in this Plate 2 graphic depict a perimeter of 792 inches of the Molten Sea, squared above, by the 12 oxen at the 4 points of the Compass-forming the Laver’s Square base. This compares to the Diameter of 7,920,000 miles of New Jerusalem’s 12 Gates, around its square base, encircled by the 12 Signs of the Hebrew Mazzaroth.

Bullinger says the a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about, in I Kgs. 7:23 reveals the Pi ratio of the diameter to the circumference while human wisdom was still searching it out.”  # Bullnote on I Kgs 7:23.

The reason why the Pi ratio is considered infinite in a practical sense is that Pi to 50 Decimals provides us an atom’s position at the edge of the observable universe. Only the most esoteric applications need to go much further than that! For our finite brain’s, Pi is a geometric means to grasp our Infinite Creator that approaches the infinitude of His Spiritual reality.

Ezekiel records his prophetic visions in the 22 years of the Babylonian Captivity from 593-571BC. In Ezek. 40:3 an angel appeared to the prophet Ezekiel to measure the future temple:

When he brought me there, behold, there was a man whose appearance was like bronzewith a linen cord and a measuring reed in his hand. And he was standing in the gateway. (Ez. 40:3).

The angel’s cord and rod can represent the circle and its diameter, as a measuring line was coiled in a rope that was a multiple of the length of the measuring rod. If the rod was a likely standard of measurement it may have matched the measure of the cubit, typically determined by measuring the forearm from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger. That a cubit was associated with the diameter of a circle can be seen with the Egyptian cubitdivided into seven equal portions known aspalms.” If the cubit was used as the diameter of a circle, it could represent a convergent ratio of 22/7 for Pi, when measured in palms, with the circumference measured as cubits+one palm, [Isa. 40:12, 48:13]. Three cubits is reckoned an approximate symbol of the Eternal Divine. That this is the case, can be seen in the representation of Pi in the molten sea of Solomon’s Temple, with a circumference of 30 cubits, (also the height of Solomon’s Temple, and Noah’s ark), as an exact multiple of 315#

In I Kings 7, the design record of the Laver or Sea and its ten brazen bases of the smaller Brass Laversprovide links to the Cherubim at the four Cardinal Directions. This Sea held 12K gallons of water, supported by 12 bronze oxen in 4 x 3 sets facing the four points of the compass. This 4 x 3=12 fold order is apparent not only in the capacity and dimensions of this sacred Sea, but also engraved on panel borders [I Kg. 7:28H4526-micgereth; on enclosed margins, from 5462-cagar; to shut up, close up] with the 12 Oxen supporting the Bath on their backs, as a picture of [Gen. 1:6-8] the 2nd day of Creation Week, a border state of Creation. The 7 uses of “cherubimplural of “cherub” in Ex. 25:18-22 show a structure of the Mercy Seat covering the Ark of Testimony. As Rev. Jon Nessle taught on some of the impacts and limits from Job 26 and Prov. 8 in a recent session of our class on Hebrews, we find another likely application of this idea in the Laver of water on back of the 12 earthly oxen, oriented to the Cardinal Points on the Ecliptic. These 12 Oxen embody Taurus the ecliptic sign of the Bull as one of the four faces of the Cherubim, helping to bear the waters over the firmament on their backs, dividing the waters below the firmament [H7549-raqiya; an expanse, or the visible arch of the sky-spaceopen vault of Heaven] over Earth. There is support for the idea of the heavens resembling  an ocean in Ezek. 1:22-23, in this case overhead of the Cherubim [Gen. 1:20] in Ps. 148:4-Praise Him ye Heaven of Heavens [God’s Dwelling] and ye waters that be above the Heavens. I Kgs. 7:29 below, symbolizing a border between Almighty God in Heaven, and the Earth. The links to the 12 Oxen can refer to the precessional Age of Taurus as an orbit around the ecliptic represented with three Bulls at each ecliptic Cardinal point facing outward.

There appears to be added support for this view in Ex. 25:17-22 where the structure of the Cherubim as part of the Mercy Seat covering the Ark of the Covenant is revealed.

17 You shall make a mercy seat[c] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. 18 And you will make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. 20 The Cherubim shall spread out their wings above, over-shadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the Cherubim be. 21 And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.
22 There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the Ark of the Testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

Revised English Bible of 1 Kings 7:23-29.
23
Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of 30 cubits measured its circumference.
24 Under its brim were gourds, for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in 2 rows, cast with it when it was cast. 25 It stood on 12 oxen,  3 facing north, 3 facing west, 3 facing south, and 3 facing east. The sea was set on them, and all their rear parts were inward26 Its thickness was a hand-breadth, and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held two thousand baths27 He also made the ten stands of bronze. Each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high28 This

was the construction of the stands: they had panels, and the panels were set in the frames29 And on the panels that were set in the frames were lions, oxen, and cherubim. On the frames, both above and below the lions and oxen, there were wreaths of beveled work.

Verse 29 above clearly links the Cherubim with the lions (Leo and oxen) or Bull of (Taurus), in the brass Laver design. Ex. 25:22 says God meets and communes with the Priest from above the Mercy Seat of the Ark of Testimony, where the Cherubim weremarking the border between Heaven and Earth. The Cherubs faced each other as they covered the Mercy seat similar to their positions on the ecliptic, but with an inward view, as opposed to the 12 Bulls who all faced outward.

It is interesting that the 12 oxen under the Bath are listed separate from the Cherubim, Lions and palm trees, on the panels. Since the Cherubim above are part of the Mercy Seat facing each other, but the Oxen under the firmament are facing out. In the Heaven of Heavens the holy Cherubim unified with the Mercy Seat in the presence of God, face each other to cover the Mercy Seat, where the atoning Blood is sprinkled on it, just as the blood upon their door-posts saved the Jews in Egypt from death’s angel, by the blood of the Passover Lamb. [Heb. 9:20-27]

This structure embodies all God’s Creation under the Heaven of Heavens, is what I refer to as the “Bubble Universe,” with the Cherubim embodying the boundary between the waters above their heads to the waters under them  on Earth, [Gen. 1:6-8] This is obviously not within the bounds of what modern astronomers calls the “Observable Universe.” [Ezek. 10:1-22]

The veil hung from four pillars, representing the terrestrial number, and the Earth’s orientation to the four Cardinal Directions of the horizon. The symbol of the number four is prominent in the imagery above, not only in the four pillars holding the Tabernacle’s veil, but also in four Tabernacle colors shown in the veilScarlet or Red represents blood, and is seen in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the high priest offering the perfect sin offering of his own life to redeem us. The linen was white, symbols of purity and righteousness of the Servant of God. The 4 Royal signs and Cardinal Compass Points the four pillars of the Temple’s veil whereupon the Cherubim wereThus, the four colors of the Tabernacle all embody the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone and the the four gospelsMatthew, Mark, Luke and John, showing his dominion over all Creation. We also find reference to Four-fold Zemach branches of Christ as he embodies the way of the Tree of Life. As we’ve seen, these four pillars relate to the four Cardinal Directions, we know as equinox and Solstice seen on the ecliptic and Equator at it’s four-corners. The Cherubim always appear at God’s Throne serving God. [Ezek. 1:3-28, 10:1-22, 41:18-20, 25-26, Rev. 4:6-11, 5:8, 11-14]

The Cherubim first appear in Genesis 3:22-24 New KJV

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed Cherubim [3724-Cherubim] at the east
of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword [2719-Cherebthe flaming sword may refer to lightning; Ps. 104:3-4 as a symbol of God’s Holiness & Judgment] which turned every way, [2015] to guard [8104] the way [1870] to the tree of life. The Cherubim unique role to protect and guard the way of life for all Creation,

Four fold Summary– We have seen the 4 key dimensions of mankind that unify us in the symbolic four aspects of living souls: the emotional, spiritual, mental and physicalAn example where the Lord acknowledges these four traits of life as he says to serve him in All ourheart, soul, mind & strength.” (Mk. 12:28-31). These four aspects of life express a complete and perfect 4D form of loving God in ALL our human mental, emotionalspiritual, and physical traits, reflecting Christ’s Four-fold Zemach branches as he embodies the way back to the Tree of Life, in restored fellowship with God the Father. To get to the Heart of the matter we will focus on the Heart’s role, relating to the other key dimensions of Mankind as its presented in Scripture. Keeping this in mind, I present for your edification the “Heart Chart” to cross-reference the heart with the other 3 dimensions of Unified Mankind in our service to God.
