The Structure of the Hebrew Menorah and the Pi ratio.

In our annual recognition of Pi Day. March 14th of every year [3.14] we are reposting the following blog related to the Hebrew Menorah and the Pi ratio. The Menorah is one of the sacred pieces of “furniture” in the Hebrew Temple & Tabernacle, that themselves were designed by the Creator using universal constants like Pi/Phi in addition to the Ark of the Covenant.

The Structure of the Hebrew Menorah and the Pi ratio.

This blog post is an expansion on my original study called “The Biblical Cosmology of the Hebrew Menorah” on my website [www.try-god.com]. The first study focused more on the history of astronomy and cosmology, with an emphasis on the Precession of the Equinoxes, and the potential impact of a Biblical Cosmology. This current study shifts  focus to a greater emphasis on the Biblical aspects of the Menorah’s structure, and the implications of this structure. I am including the introduction to the original study along with some of the mathematical aspects of the first study, mainly pertaining to the structure of the Menorah and the Pi ratio.

The traditional concept of the history of cosmology reads as a timeline of the “discoveries” of the greatest scientists. Men like Ptolemy, Galileo, Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Einstein and Hubble are the shining lights of scientific progress, and certainly human science owes these men much. According to conventional history, the idea of a heliocentric “universe” or solar system, originated in ancient Greece, specifically Aristarchus of Samos back in the second century BC. This idea however, did not catch on in a big way until Copernicus, who while reviewing some of Aristarchus’ ideas, seized upon this concept and ran with it. He did this at his own peril due to the prevailing worldview of the time, especially that of the Roman Catholic Church, based on a geocentric view of the solar system espoused by Ptolemy, that held sway in intellectual and religious circles for over 1500 years. The graphic below from Harmonica Macrocosmica [A. Cellarius, Amsterdam 1660] 1 depicts a Sun-centered, Copernican view of the cosmos.

harmonica macrocosmica

This article on Biblical cosmology depicts the idea of a heliocentric “universe” predated the Second Century BC and Aristarchus, by at least 1300 years, and its genuine roots are found in the OT Scriptures. From a historical perspective, this is a potentially radical statement, sure to have many critics however, once the following Biblical evidence is viewed in light of the principles of Biblical Astronomy, the foundations of this concept  are inescapable. This article supplies an example of potential revisionist power that Biblical Astronomy can have on the conventional view of the History of Astronomy

This study examines the celestial symbolism of the sacred Hebrew candlestick instituted under Moses and the Levite priests of the Old Testament. The Menorah is a divine piece of furniture that was kept in the holy place of the Hebrew Tabernacle, which contained the Altar of Incense, the Table of Shewbread and the Veil through which the Holy of the Holies was accessible. As a powerful symbol from God’s Word, the Menorah embodies an extensive Biblical cosmology, including both the Hebrew zodiac of twelve major Constellations, with its thirty-six decans, and a heliocentric concept of the solar system, centuries before Homer wrote the Iliad and the Odyssey! God revealed the divine plans of the Tabernacle to Moses in the mid-2nd millennium BC, in the 14th century.

The various elements of the structure of this Candlestick follows the order of the Torah in the first five books of the Pentateuch. The structure of this sacred seven-branched Candlestick was said to embody the light of the Torah in seven categories or individual aspects of this Lamp as follows: 2

Figure 1. The Menorah and Genesis 1:1. 3

1. The seven branches of the Candelabra are built on the first seven words of Gen. 1:1.

GENESIS 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” As we will see below, the sevenfold pattern of the Menorah embodies the Creator’s spiritual and temporal order as the Creator’s three-fold light is shed in Creation, evident on multi-levels in God’s Word, and culture of Israel, including their mathematical, astronomical and religious aspects. A primary area where the mathematical and astronomical aspects of the Menorah structure intersect as seen in Judean Time-keeping

The ancient Biblical truths of the Almighty Creator God, Who rested on the 7th day, defined division of time, based on the Creation WeekGod’s Creation of the Sun, Moon and Stars to mark signs, seasons, days and years, divided and separated between the light and darkness of these heavenly bodiesproviding a universal temporal order for the earth. The Seasons and appointed times [moed] depict the holy feasts when man was to recognize special calendar times ordained by the Almighty, according to a mandate from heaven, to honor God’s Covenant relationship with man. These sacred Spring and Fall feasts relate to the sevenfold Menorah Branch structure seen in Fig. 2 below.

The standard order of Creation Week is inherent in Genesis 1-2. This Creation Week set the Sabbath pattern, found in the 7 x 4=28; Lunar MansionsThe transition from the end of one lunar phase to commencement of the next lunar phase is a most revered calendar unit across world cultures. In this way, God set aside the Sabbath Day as holy, consecrating the Sabbath in Israel for all time, which is a big reason why Israel has abided by a lunar calendar. We also find historical recognition of the influence of this seven-fold pattern in various septenary units of measurement. The Egyptian Royal cubit was composed of 7 hands or 28 fingers, as a standard cubit, with a 7th hand added. In truthGen. 1:1 has 7 Hebrew words with a total of 28 letters. By dividing 28 times the product of the letters by seven times, the product of the words, a calculation of the Pi ratio results. 4 This is a practical reckoning from the ancient world seen below, with astronomical and calendar applications. “According to a septenary system of reckoning, the circumference of a circle was considered 22/7 of the circle’s diameteras an approximation of the Pi ratio=3 1/7 or 3.142857, which is still applied as an adequate calculation for many engineering problems today.” 5

The following information comes from Leo Tavares and his website on Mathematical Monotheism, [https://sites.google.com/site/mathematicalmonotheism/the-genesis-1-1-mirror-code]. Since the Hebrew Alphabet is alpha-numeric, where every letter in their alphabet is also a specific number, below are the “numerical values of the 22 letters in the Biblical Hebrew alphabet, as they relate to Genesis 1:1:

  GENESIS 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

Thus the numeric values of these seven Hebrew words are as follows

913 + 203 + 86 + 401 + 395 + 407 + 296 37 × 73

A note from Tavares on his site on #37 is; “For the sum of the Fibonacci numbers indexed to the first 37 decimal digits of Phi (after the decimal point) = 401.” This shows a relation between the Pi and Phi ratios, that we have previously illustrated in various blog posts.

Not only does the center word value of Genesis 1:1 stand out as its only PRIME word value, it stands out as its SHORTEST word. In fact, it is made up of the first and the last letters of the Hebrew Alphabet (the Aleph and the Tav). As God is the FIRST and the LAST in (Isaiah 44:6): This verse in Isaiah of 7 Hebrew words read as follows:

ISAIAH 44:6 “I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST; and beside me there is no God

Since the Creator God, Almighty fittingly is set in the center of these 7 words like, the central candle of the Menorah between the other six candles, [Rev. 1:20] this highlights the Biblical teaching that God is the FIRST and LAST (Isaiah 44:6):

ALEPH + TAV = 401

This reveals an internal code of mirror symmetry in Genesis 1:1 that the sum of the Prime Factors of the three words to the LEFT of 401 yields the same value as the Prime Factors to the RIGHT of 401. Below are the Prime Factors of the Genesis 1:1 word values:

  Genesis 1:1 in the original Hebrew:

הארץ ואת השמים את אלהים ברא בראשית

913 + 203 + 86 + 401 + 395 + 407 + 296 = 2701

 This is summarized below:

913 = 11 × 83
203 = 7 × 29
86 = 2 × 43

 401 = 401

 395 = 5 × 79
407 = 11 × 37
296 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 37

 LEFT PRIME FACTOR SUM:

(11 + 83) + (7 + 29) + (2 + 43) = 175

RIGHT PRIME FACTOR SUM:

(5 + 79) + (11 + 37) + (2 + 2 + 2 + 37) = 175

LEFT/RIGHT PRIME FACTOR SYMMETRY:

       175  (401)  175

As God is the FIRST and the LAST in (Isaiah 44:6): The numerical value of the seven Hebrew words in this passage is as follows:

  61 + 557 + 67 + 265 + 162 + 61 + 86 =    1259

This number is directly tied to 401 through the mathematics of a Circle. How? Aside from the fact that the numerical value of “ISAIAH” = 401, a Circle with a circumference of 1259 units yields a diameter of 401 units, according to the Pi formula.

THE CIRCLE OF THE FIRST AND THE LAST

“I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST; and beside me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6) = 1259

DIAMETER = 401 units

  “ISAIAH” = 401

FIRST + LAST Hebrew letters = 1 + 400 =

             401

CENTER word value of Genesis 1:1 = 1 + 400 =

             401

The Aleph and the Tav are the FIRST/LAST letters of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. The PRIME FACTOR SUM of the 22 Hebrew letter values points right back to “The Circle of The First and The Last” that we just saw. Remarkably, it yields the PRIME ORDER of 1259. 6

The Pi ratio of the first and last letters of the Hebrew Alphabet also correspond to the Alpha/Omega of the first and last signs of the Hebrew Mazzaroth, as seen in the Great Sphinx.

This practical reckoning of the pi ratio also relates to the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, including 7 vowels, providing a linguistic and mathematical blueprint for Israel. As with all language systems, the Hebrew alphabet is a system of writing expressing a language’s sounds, both consonants and vowels, by
means of
single letters. Alphabets can function to move beyond outer appearances, and access deeper meanings in reality. Alphabets embody the presence of the infinite within the finite. Since the Creator spoke all Creation into reality, the Almighty chose the Hebrew language and Semitic culture as the primary carrier and access point for in-depth concepts leading the presence of God within His Holy Word, and fellowship in His Temple. This includes a key function of the alphabet; to enable the seeker to experience spiritual growth processes in fellowship with his Maker, via a series of accessible, substantive and systematic images, whereby the Almighty chose to reveal Himself.

This correlates to the structure of the Menorah which contains a total of 22 cups; on each branch [6×3=18], plus four cups on the central servant branch [18+4=22]. This corresponds to the first 22 words of Deut. 1:1;

Deut. 1:1 These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab

We find this structure laid out also in the 11 fruits of the Menorah linked to the first 11 words of Exodus 1:1;

Ex.1:1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob

There are also 9 flowers at the top of each branch before the Lamps, [Num. 8:4] built into the Menorah, which correlate to the first 9 words of Leviticus 1:1;

Levi. 1:1 And the Lord called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

As the Father of Lights the Almighty shed His spiritual light as it translated in the physical realm so that it would register to the human senses. The Electro-magnetic light spectrum that registers to human vision is depicted below. This electromagnetic spectrum is generally divided into seven sectorsin order of decreasing wavelength and increasing energy and frequency.

Gen, 1:4-5
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. We must remember what John 1:5 tells us about the relationship between light and darkness;

And the light [God] shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

In the book Jesus Christ is not God, regarding John 1:5, V.P.W stated; “The clause in verse 5 is a general rather than a specific statement regarding light and darkness, it does not refer to a specific lime in the past, in the present or in the future, but rather it is making a general statement about all time. Darkness is the absence of Light. Light, heat and all forms of energy are measured in terms of the positive never the negative. The negative is the absence of the positive. Even from a scientific viewpoint there is no way darkness can comprehend light since darkness is the absence of lightThat which does not exist cannot overcome that which exists. 7

The Hebrew script, is a consonantal system with 22 characters, as part of a family of alphabets, formalized around the same time as early Greek, with letters taking a varied form. For example, Resh, phonetically, equal to the ‘R, is similar to a lower case Roman ‘reach letter with its own definition. One meaning of Resh is “poverty,” [Prov. 10:15]. Lucifer prospered at God’s Right Hand, but when this was not good enough for him, he became desolate in opposition to the Almighty, and was “plucked up” and cast away. Talk about a major “pluck up,” that has to be the biggest of all! This generally fits the narrative surrounding Job 38:12-15, as Lucifer was cast out of heaven, and rejected from his former angelic glory. [Isa. 14:12-20, Ezek. 28:12-19]

Next in the Hebrew alphabet we encounter the letter Bet. History tells us that Bet is one of seven “double letters,” each of which has two pronunciations, two meanings, as well as two applications: a positive, and negativeSince the 7 vowels of the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, function as both a vowel and a consonant, we find two immediate applications for these double letters. “They also have 2 possible sounds, but only 3 of the seven are retained in modern Hebrew. Three of the rest are apparently used only by a few, and the double of the remaining one, Resh, is said to have been lost, supporting the narrative above related to Job 38:12-15. The 7 “double letters” have either a “hard” or “soft” pronunciation. The hard pronunciation is indicated by Dagesh; a (dot) in the center of the letter. The 2-fold usage of these seven “double letters” in Ecc. 3:1-8 comprise 7 polarized sets, each portrayed by one of these “doubles,” forming a unique figure that could be classified as a specialized acrosticBet is itself a word meaning “within” and “house.” Metaphorically, it depicts a mouth, a house and the interior of man, symbolizing internalized action.” 8

This meaning for Bet, of the interior of man, implies human freewill choice, that results from internal deliberationspoken into action externally. This relates not only to the 7 polarized sets [Ecc. 3], as people chose daily actions within the ranges of human activity reflected within these 14 pairs. Also, Bet as a “house,” is intriguing in light of the truth that these 7 stars; [Pleiades] are the angels of the 7 churches, since a church is considered the house of God, the dwelling place of His people, in the body of Christ, [Rev. 1:201 Cor. 6:19-20]. As the figure above also relates not only to the 7 spirits of God, that reside before God’s Throne in Heaven, [Rev. 4:5] but also the 7 Old Testament manifestations of the spirit, as seen in Isa. 11:1-2 and Figure below, reflected in the Menorah in the Earthly Temple and Tabernacle.

In Figure 4 below the Menorah with each of the three branches functioning as a double with each of the seven companion OT Manifestations of the Spirit that emerge from the Holy Spirit of the Lord, on each side of the Central Servant BranchThis center branch depicts Jesus Christ the Light of the World, as the suffering servant branch who enlightens the world, [Ps. 119:105, John 15:5].

The Menorah’s height excluding the lamps was also 17 handbreadths high [17 Tefachim+1 including the base] which also corresponds to the first 17 words of Numbers 1:1.
.
Num. 1:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

Leo Tavares tells us:
The Bible details in Exodus 25:31-35 how God commanded the Israelites to make a Menorah made of pure gold, which was a lampstand with 7 branches (a CENTER branch and 3 united pairs of branches). This Biblical passage consists of 324 Hebrew letters (or 18 × 18 letters). It follows that we can represent these Hebrew letters as an 18 × 18 Matrix. When we do this, we find that the Ordinal number values of the Hebrew letters form a perfect shape of a Menorah yielding a sum of 999: 10

MENORAH = 999

As we compare this Ex. 25 text to the Standard word values of the 7 Hebrew words in Genesis 1:1 that also forms a perfect Menorah, we find some interesting parallels.

 GENESIS 1:1 MENORAH

Genesis 1:1 (913 + 203 + 86) + (401) + (395 + 407 + 296)

 401 + (9 × 9 × 9) = (913 – 296) + (407 – 203) + (395 – 86)

Exodus 25:31-40

31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. 32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: 33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick. 34 And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers. 35 And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. 36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. 37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. 38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. 39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels. 40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Verse 37 indicates the purpose of the lamps of the Menorah, “that they may give light…’ It is noteworthy that this is the same purpose of the celestial luminaries stated in Genesis 1:14-16. Interestingly, the word for “lights” in the firmament [Gen. 1:14, 16: *H216maor] is the same word used in reference to the lamps of the Menorah, (Exodus 20:27, 35:14). Moreover, the same Hebrew word that refers to the Menorah’s individual lamps, also refers to the individual celestial lights of the Sun and Moon in Gen. 1:16. Thus we have a perfect correspondence between the purpose not only of the individual celestial lights and each of the Menorah’s lamp’s, to shed light upon the Earth. The emphasis with a Sun-centered system is placed on the Light of God. God’s Light is the Source of Life on Earth, even as God is the Source of Light. The celestial lights support this order from the Hand of the Creator.

Genesis 1:14-16
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: [15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. [16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

  Since the same Hebrew words are used in reference to both the luminaries of the firmament and the lamp-stand of the Tabernacle, we are wise to notice the details of the Menorah’s celestial symbolism

Here we find Biblical evidence in the Menorah regarding the Hebrew zodiac, structured as the earliest known heliocentric model, as seen in the Menorah Solar System, far ahead of Aristarchus of Samos
(270 BC), who
was the first of the ancient Greeks to re-submit the idea of a Sun centered cosmos. With the Son of God and light of the world embodied in Jesus Christ as the central Servant Branch of the Menorah and Hebrew zodiac, we see the original roots for a Sun-centered solar system that Copernicus gets credit for, despite the position of antagonism in the Roman Catholic Church centuries after his death. This idea was first established with the Hebrew Menorah, [Ps. 19] that was structured on a celestial plan of the ancient solar system of seven planets, with luni-solar cycles and the Sun as the center candlestick [Rev.1:20], always enlightening the Earth with a heliocentric viewpoint.

Both Philo and Josephus were early observers who provided context for the Menorah’s rounded branches, associating them with larger astronomical concerns. This approach hearkens back to a link with the lamps of the lampstand and the planets that first appears with the prophet Zechariah already during the sixth century B.C., who described the five visible planets, and the Sun and the Moon, as the “eyes of YHWH:”

These seven are the eyes of YHWH, which range through the whole earth. [Zech. 4:18]

In (Figure 5.) below we see the first candlestick, or Menorah in the form of what James Strong has called a “stylized tree.” Strong gives his own description of Exodus 25:33 quoted below:

Ex. 25:33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.”

Strong’s geometric synopsis of this verse states:

Image result for 7 Spirits of God Colors

It will be perceived that each section of the semicircles of which these lines are the radii is composed of two members: the shank (a plain tube) and the bulb (or swell), and that each has a third part or base (a circular double flange, as a means of connection, hence an actual joint) only where it is united to a different kind of piece; i.e., at the bottom and top of the central shaft and of the six arms, including the intersections of the shaft with the arms.”11 [emphasis mine]

Figure 5. The Hebrew Menorah. 12

central shaft and of the six arms

  When we apply what we have already seen in the Biblical teaching of the Sun’s dual symbolism, to the Menorah, then it takes on a new light, associating the Sun not only with the solar system, but also the circular zodiac. The very structure of the Menorah shows its central shaft as the foundation of the candle, since it holds the main light as the centerpiece of the candlestick. All the branches of the candlestick are attached to the central shaft, even as they obtain their light from the main candle. This pattern is mirrored in the solar system as the planets and moons do not generate their own light, but reflect the light of the Sun, in their orbits. We find not only the order of the solar system reflected here but also that of the ecliptic in 12 Constellations. This is evident in the semicircular pattern based on the pi ratio. By expanding on Strong’s analysis of the Menorah this comes to light. In Strong’s smaller geometric model of the Menorah, we note bulbs on the six branches of the candlestick that are projections of the central bulb, from whence all the radiating lines of the central light emanate. These projections of the central light on the six branches, (five naked eye planets and the Sun & Moon) depict how these luminaries reflect the Sun’s light in their individual orbits upon the Earth. This system shines light on the temporal periods and orbits of each naked-eye planet in our solar system, in relation to the Sun’s light. This is revealed first in the context of the mathematics of the 7×7=49 standard, a primary trait of light in Creator’s celestial order.

The symbolism of the candlestick also extends beyond our solar system to include the circle of 12 signs of the zodiac. Strong’s emphasis above on the geometric design of the Menorah, exhibits the Hebrew zodiac as in Genesis 49, with Jacob’s prophesies over his twelve sons. We should note that these lines noted by Strong as “the radii of the semi-circle,” reflecting the symbolic light of the world, if extended into a complete circle, the radii would divide it into 12 equal parts of 360 degrees of the circle according to the pi ratio. We can be safe in making this conceptual leap in the implied design of the Menorah, because we have already seen this pattern in the Temple pillarsJachin and Boaz. This makes the Menorah the most complete piece of the furniture of the Temple and Tabernacle, acting as a celestial symbol of the structure of both our solar system and the zodiac. It is the most complete because it is the third aspect we have observed that utilizes the pi ratio, following on the great Brazen Sea and the Temple pillars. These aspects of The Celestial Symbolism of the Temple and Tabernacle utilize the pi ratio to depict the Hebrew calendar of 12 months of 30 days in the sacred 360-day year used by Noah. The Menorah goes beyond this, embracing the planets in a heliocentric model of the ancient solar system, long before the Greek Aristarchus of Samos proposed it in the second century BC.

The Menorah’s implicit use of the pi ratio incorporates the previous usage of this principle in the Brasen Sea and the Temple pillars, while adding the symbolism of the heliocentric solar system to these previous applications, all incorporated into a single model. This systematic usage of the Pi Ratio in the sacred furniture, altars and Pillars of the Temple and Tabernacle, are supported in the consistent application of this mathematical principle as illustrated above in the Pi mathematics of the circle as seen in the practical reckoning of Pi in the 22 letters and 7 vowels of the Hebrew Alphabet applied to the Menorah structure of [Genesis 1:1 and Isa. 44:6], that we saw related to the central number of 401 in Gen. 1:1, where the Circle with a circumference of 1259 units yields a diameter of 401 units, according to the Pi formula.

This consistent, orderly, progressive and systematic usage of the Pi ratio in the architecture and design of the Hebrew Temple and Tabernacle, and its sacred elements and furniture, illustrates the purposeful application of this advanced mathematical principle, far in advance of human science awareness or application. This shows the Word of the Almighty Creator as the true Source for these and other advanced mathematical and geometric concepts that were applied not only in Sacred Architecture, but in the Intelligent Design of all Creation itself. As we continue our quest to seek out and expand tangible scientific evidence of the awesome works at the Hand of our Creator and Heavenly Father, the distant thunder echoing in our ears will become an undeniable storm of cascading truths overwhelming any credible opposition, until the ultimate realization and witness of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of the Almighty Heavenly Father of Lights, to whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. The Sooner this realization comes, the greater benefit to the recipient.

God Bless,

Agape‘

Biblical Astronomy of Pi and the Lunar Mansions [Part 2]

Biblical Astronomy of Pi the Lunar Mansions-Part 2.

With the month of March 2020, the signs of Spring are in the air, which may be good or bad depending on your tolerance for allergies. But we always emphasize the positives here, and one thing I always look forward to in March is the 14th day of the month, [3.14] akaPi DayOur tradition has been to recognize certain aspects of the Biblical incidence of Pi in God’s Word, which you can reference in some of the links in this study or our March archives on this blog. This month’s article holds some new and exciting pi references relating to the circle of Lunar Mansions, that I think you will enjoy.

In Part 2 of our study on the Lunar cycle, we begin with some further history on ancient Chinese Astronomy, and their emphasis on the Lunar Mansions. The Lunar Zodiac was first referenced in China under Emporer Yao in the 23rd Century BC. In China’s astronomical records, the Pleiades star cluster was among the earliest of Lunar houses on record, dating to 2357 BC, when the star Alcyone in the Pleiades was near the vernal equinox. 1 Thestars of this famed cluster are named by Job [9:9, 38:31] and referred to collectively as a “heap or accumulation, and the congregation of the judge or ruler,” said also to be referenced in Rev. 1 as a mystery.”

Rev. 1:20
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candle-sticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

The Pleiades Star Cluster
[AAO Photograph]

This reminds us of the divine seven-fold pattern of the order of Cherubim according to their regular distribution around the four colored curtains of the Tabernacle walls of both the Holy Place, and the Holy of the Holies. As we find this pattern in the earthly Tabernacle, so we also find it in the Heavenly Tabernacle, as Rev. 15:5-8 reveals, seen in Part 1 . [cp. Rev. 8: 2]

This mystery of the seven stars can refer to the Angel’s first estate prior to their revolt, when Lucifer as the Bright and Morning Star led the angels as Morning stars and sons of God, in their collective shouts of joy, praising the Almighty, [Job 38:7, Isa. 14:12-20, Ezek. 28:12-19]. But once iniquity was found in Lucifer, he was cast out of heaven taking 1/3 of the angels down with him. [Rev. 12:7-9].

Seek him that made the seven stars and Orion, and turned the shadow of death into the morning, and made the day dark with night: that called for the waters of the sea, and poured them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name …”  [Amos 5:8] KJV

We find hints of this in Milton’s description of Creation at the dawn of the world, in Paradsie Lost; where he says of the Sun,

the Dawn and the Pleiades before him danc’d, shedding sweet influence…2

He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.” [Rev. 1:16]

This reference in Rev. 1:16 is certainly reminiscent of the helical rising of the 7 stars of the Pleiades. There is a fable linked to one of these seven stars, that was lost in infamy. The Poet Aratos wrote;

As seven their fame is on the tongues of men, though six alone are beaming on the eye… 3

Pleiades Star Map

Image result for Pleiades images

Reportedly, this 7th Pleiad star disappeared around the time of the Trojan War [1194-1184 BC], where according to Rolleston, “the star shot like a comet towards the North pole,” leaving only six main Pleiad stars. One of these was named “Maia” in Greek, tracing to the Chinese “Mao,” preserving the historical roots of this Pleiad, from the 23rd Century BC in ancient Chinese culture. In addition to the lunar mansions, Chinese astrologers going back to Yi Xing also predicted solar eclipses by analyzing lunar position and motion. For every revolution westwards on the celestial globe, the Sun would move a degree to the east while the Moon also moved 13 and 7/19 degrees eastwards. After 29 rotations of the celestial globe, the Sun and Moon would meet for a solar eclipse. Chinese astronomical tools included star maps, like the Dunhuang Star chart, one of the oldest remaining star maps in existence, along with armillary spheres. Their celestial globe depicted 28 lunar mansions, with the celestial equator and ecliptic.

Chinese astrologers also used the Metonic Cycle, which they called the Zhang cycle due to the dynasty in which it was discovered, circa 600 BC. The Metonic Cycle converts 19 solar years to 235 lunar months. This also helped Royal Chinese astrologers predict solar eclipses, which they were highly motivated to accurately foretell, since their lives depended upon it, in some cases.

Western Astronomy has always been more focused on the Solar Zodiac, including the 12  signs or constellations that the Sun passes on the ecliptic during the year. However, in ancient China, attention was paid more on the 28 Mansions marking the movement of the Moon during a lunar month. This lunar focus of the Chinese Calendar, divided time in lunar months, having the practical benefit that the day of the month was evident by looking at the lunar phase, along with the current location of the Moon against the stars.

28 Chinese Lunar Mansions

The 28 Mansions of the Chinese Lunar month (xiu or sù), one in each day of the sidereal lunationserved to name the days of the month before the Gregorian Calendar was adopted. Star locations were measured relative to the xiu divisions and their distance from the North pole. The month was divided into four symbols, representing four weeks of 7-days in a lunar month, and also the Four Seasons.

As we will see below, the common themes surrounding the 28 Lunar Mansions in various cultures of the ancient world, shows a unity of astronomical knowledge, rooted in the Biblical Patriarchs who founded the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China & Israel after the flood. The ancient Biblical truths of the Almighty Creator God, Who rested on the 7th day, defined a division of time, based on the Creation WeekGod’s Creation of the Sun, Moon and Stars to mark signs, seasons, days and years, divided and separated between the light and darkness of these heavenly bodiesproviding a universal temporal order for the earth. The Seasons or appointed times [moed] depict the holy feasts when man was to recognize special calendar times ordained by the Almighty, according to a mandate from heaven, to honor God’s Covenant relation with man. The Creation Week set the pattern of the Sabbath, found in the 7 x 4=28; Lunar Mansions.

The transition from the end of one lunar phase to commencement of the next lunar phase is a most revered calendar unit across world cultures. In this way, God set aside the Sabbath Day as holy, consecrating the Sabbath in Isreal for all time, a big reason why Israel has always abided by a lunar calendar. Historical recognition of the influence of this seven-fold pattern is found in various septenary units of measurement. The Egyptian Royal cubit was composed of 7 hands or 28 fingers, as a standard cubit, with a 7th hand added. In truth, Gen. 1:1  has 7 Hebrew words with a total of 28 letters. By dividing 28 times the product of the letters by seven times, the product of the words, a calculation of the pi ratio results. 4 This is an example of a practical reckoning from the ancient world seen below, with astronomical and calendar applications.

According to the septenary system of reckoning, the circumference of a circle was considered 22/7 of the circle’s diameter, as an approximation of the Pi ratio=3 1/7 or 3.142857, that is still applied as an adequate calculation for many engineering problems today.” 5

The following information comes from Leo Tavares and his website on Mathematical Monotheism, [https://sites.google.com/site/mathematicalmonotheism/the-genesis-1-1-mirror-code]. Since the Hebrew Alphabet is alpha-numeric, where every letter in their alphabet is also a specific number, below are the “numerical values of the 22 letters in the Biblical Hebrew alphabet, as they relate to Gen. 1:1:

 GENESIS 1:1  “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

Thus the numeric values of these seven Hebrew words are as follows
913 + 203 + 86 + 401 + 395 + 407 + 296 =  37 × 73

A note from Tavares on his site on #37 is; “For the sum of the Fibonacci numbers indexed to the first 37 decimal digits of Phi (after the decimal point) = 401.” This shows a relation between the Pi and Phi ratios, that we have previously illustrated in various blog posts.

Not only does the center word value of Genesis 1:1 stand out as its only PRIME word value, it stands out as its SHORTEST word. In fact, it is made up of the first and the last letters of the Hebrew alphabet (the Aleph and the Tav). Since the Creator God, Almighty fittingly is set in the center of these 7 words like, the central candle of the Menorah between it’s other six candles, [Rev. 1:20] highlighting the Biblical teaching that God is the FIRST and LAST (Isaiah 44:6):

ALEPH + TAV401

This reveals an internal code of mirror symmetry in Genesis 1:1 that the sum of the Prime Factors of the three words to the LEFT of 401 yields the very same value as the Prime Factors to the RIGHT of 401. Here are the Prime Factors of the Genesis 1:1 word values:

913 = 11 × 83
203 = 7 × 29
86 = 2 × 43

 401 = 401

 395 = 5 × 79
407 = 11 × 37
296 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 37

 LEFT PRIME FACTOR SUM:

(11 + 83) + (7 + 29) + (2 + 43) =  175

 RIGHT PRIME FACTOR SUM:

(5 + 79) + (11 + 37) + (2 + 2 + 2 + 37) = 175

LEFT/RIGHT PRIME FACTOR SYMMETRY:

       175  (401)  175

As God is the FIRST and the LAST in (Isaiah 44:6): This verse of 7 Hebrew words reads as follows:

ISAIAH 44:6 “I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST; and beside me there is no God

The numerical value of the seven Hebrew words in this passage is as follows:

  61 + 557 + 67 + 265 + 162 + 61 + 86 =    1259

This number is directly tied to 401 through the mathematics of a Circle. How? Aside from the fact that the numerical value of “ISAIAH” = 401, a Circle with a circumference of 1259 units yields a diameter of 401 units, according to the pi formula.

THE CIRCLE OF THE FIRST AND THE LAST

“I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST; and beside me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6) = 1259

DIAMETER = 401 units

  “ISAIAH” = 401

FIRST + LAST Hebrew letters = 1 + 400 =

             401

CENTER word value of Genesis 1:1 = 1 + 400 =

             401

The Aleph and the Tav are the FIRST/LAST letters of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet.  the PRIME FACTORIZATION SUM of the 22 Hebrew letter values points right back to “The Circle Of The First And The Last” that we just saw.

As with all language systems, the Hebrew alphabet is a system of writing expressing a language’s sounds, both consonants and vowels, by means of single letters. Did you also know that 3-14 is Einstein’s Birthday!?

The Hebrew script, is a consonantal system with 22 characters, as part of a family of alphabets, based ultimately upon the Phoenician script. The Hebrew script was formalized around the same time as early Greek, with letters taking a varied form. For example, Resh, phonetically equal to the ‘R‘, is similar to a lower case Roman ‘r‘, each letter with its own definition. One meaning of Resh is “poverty,” [Prov. 10:15]. Lucifer prospered at God’s Right Hand, but when it was not good enough for him, he became desolate in opposition
to the Almighty, and was “plucked up” and cast away. Talk about a major “pluck up,” that has to be the biggest of all! This generally fits the mythology surrounding the lost Pleiad, as Lucifer was cast out of heaven, and rejected from his former angelic glory. [Isa. 14:12-20, Ezek. 28:12-19]

Next in the Hebrew alphabet we encounter the letter Bet. History tells us that Bet is one of sevendouble letters,” each of which has two pronunciations, two meanings, as well as two applications: a positive, and negative. Since the 7 vowels of the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, function as both a vowel and a consonant, we find two immediate applications for these double letters. “They also have two possible sounds, but only three of the seven are retained in modern Hebrew. Three of the rest are apparently used only by a few, and the double of the remaining one, Resh, is said to have been lost, supporting the narrative above related to the  7 stars, but others say it’s a well-guarded secret. These 7double letters” have either a “hard” or “softpronunciation. The hard pronunciation is indicated by Dagesh(dot) in the center of the letter. The two-fold usage of these seven “double letters” in Ecc. 3:1-8 comprise 7 polarized sets, each portrayed by one of these “doubles,” forming a unique figure that could be classified as a specialized acrosticBet is itself a word meaning “within” and “house.” Metaphorically, it depicts a mouth, a house and the interior of man, symbolizing internalized action.” 7

 This meaning for Bet, of the interior of man, implies human freewill choice, that results from internal deliberationspoken into action externally. This relates to the polarized sets [Ecc. 3], as people chose daily actions within the ranges of human activity reflected within these 14 pairs. Also, Bet as a “house,” is intriguing in light of the truth that these 7 stars; [Pleiades] are the angels of the seven churches, since the church is considered the house of God, the dwelling place of His people, in the body of Christ, [Rev. 1:20, 1 Cor. 6:19-20].

The “Flower” of Lunar Phases.

The previous note from Tavares on the 7 words of Gen. 1:1 and #37 is; “For the sum of the Fibonacci numbers indexed to the first 37 decimal digits of Phi (after the decimal point) = 401.” This depicts the relationship between the Pi and Phi ratios from a math context, as in the Four kingdoms of Life. The sacred symbolism of the Tabernacle, reflecting the 7-day temporal order that man was to follow in fellowship with the Almighty, is formed on the lunar calendar embodied in the internal and external Tabernacle measures.
According to T. Paine, who first suggested an endwise union of either set of Tabernacle curtains from Josephus forward, depicts the internal Tabernacle measurements as 12 cubits wide, by 29.5 cubits long, versus the external measures of 12, 1/3 cubits wide by 30 cubits long. This represents an alternating lunar calendar of 29.5 and 30 lunar days in a month, a long-standing order in 360-day calendar years. The 12 cubit measure shows the 12 months of the solar year, while the 29.5 cubits embodies the lunar synodic month of 29.53059 days, or 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.37 seconds. We see this also in the time between 2 full or New Moons as 29, 43/81 days, for internal dimensions of the Tabernacle curtains. The Tabernacle’s external measures of 12, 1/3 cubits wide, by 30 cubits long, show 12.368 synodic months per year, or 12, and 7/19‘s, by the 30 days of the solar month. 8

The external dimensions of the Tabernacle reflecting the 12.368 lunar synodic months or 12 7/19‘s are interesting, also when we consider the intercalation pattern utilized in Israel, to align the solar and lunar calendars. The present Hebrew calendar consists of two types of years, the sacred and the civil year. The sacred year is based on directives given to Moses, and is the official calendar year of religious feasts. The OT calendar received by Mosesbegan in the spring month of Abib, [Ex. 12:2]. With God’s revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai, including the Tabernacle and the Ten Commandments, this information on the Hebrew Calendar was a built-in practice of the OT Law since at least the 14th Century BC,
nearly a thousand years before Greek scientist Meton developed the “19-year Metonic cycle” in Athens, circa 432 BC. The dimensions of 12 7/19, reflects the seven leap years in every 19-year cycle. Both Sacred and Civil Years contain 12 lunar months for 354.25 days until the leap year adds a 13th intercalary month. These 7 extra months are dispersed over 19-years. An approximated 209-days of lunisolar separation time are accumulated through close observation of the Sun, Moon, and Stars during this 19-year cycle. The extra 209-day cycle is divided into seven intercalary months to reinforce the sacred 7-day week,
alternating between 29-days and 30-days each in the Hebrew calendar.

The intercalary month is included seven different times, everyor 3 years within the 19-year, lunisolar Metonic” cycle of the Hebrew calendar. The intercalary month also called Second Adar, was added between the months of Adar, and Nisan. Second Adar is inserted by adding it to the end of the 12-month lunar year.

The Hebrew lunisolar calendar thus emerges with a number of assumptive connotations. Seven Days and nights, with the Sabbath between the weeks, the lunar phases started with New Moon crescents and intercalary days, all enshrined divine providence upon Earth. The Creator’s temporal order of the lunisolar calendar also sums into longer periods of Jubilee cycles.

The Jubilee year is the Sabbatic Year that follows seven successive Sabbatic years (Levi. 25: 8-54). The numerical matching of 7 days to 7 years was basic to mounting the 50-days to Pentecost and the 50-year Jubilee cycle. After six years, the 7th year was a Sabbatic year. Seven multiples of seven years are 49 years resulting in a 50-year Jubilee. The Jubilee year gave rest to the soil, reverted landed property back to original owners, and freed Israelites that were formerly slaves. These calendar statutes reinforced the
appointed feasts of God.

As we investigate the Tabernacle structure further, we find that the distribution of the Tabernacle’s internal colored curtains, hung in relation to the wooden planks forming Tabernacle walls, are worthy of a closer look. Each of the violet curtain stripes bore an image of Cherubim angels embroidered on three-colored curtains of violet, crimson and purple. “The entire 140 cubit length [14 x 10] of the combined sheets of curtains, were each 28 cubits long, giving 9 full series of colors [9 x 3=27] with a surplus cubit for another entire colored stripe, [totaling 28].” 9 This reflects in practical terms the Lunar Sidereal cycle which is between 27 and 28 days; [27.3 days].

Image result for Intercalation months reflected in dimensions of the Hebrew Tabernacle

The 28 Lunar Mansions divide into 7 x 4 along the lines of the four Cherubim angels each with seven mansionsSince these Cherubim angels were depicted on the violet stripes preceded by the crimson stripe and followed by purple stripes of curtains, they were designed to align with the middle of the wooden planks of the Tabernacle walls. As the curtains conform to the numbers of the sidereal lunar cycle, they represent the Lunar phases in coordination with the solar cycle represented by the gold plated wooden planks. Thus we find it noteworthy that the “regular sequence of colors, Cherubim panels, loops and knobs, cycle around the full circuit of Tabernacle walls in perfect order until the 2nd curtain terminates in the last 1/3 of the 19th wooden plank.” 10

With the 19th wooden plank reflecting the 19th solar year, from the start of this sequence, we can see how the curtains symbolize the sidereal lunar cycle, aligned with the “Metonic cycle,seven times in 19 solar years, on the 1st Tabernacle wall. If there is any lingering doubt regarding this alignment, it is quickly erased, as this symmetrical pattern mirrors the opposite wall on the other side of the room. This is realized as the “third curtain piece terminates with a crimson half stripe at the rear 1/3 of the 19th wooden plank. This symmetry is maintained by the “reversal of order of stripes on the opposite side of the room, completing the corresponding position of the 20 violet Cherubim panels, with seven at the end.” 11

As we find mirror symmetry in the verse structure of Genesis 1:1 and Isa. 44:6 above, so we can see the same type of symmetry in the Menorah, and the structure of the Tabernacle curtains, mirrored on opposite sides of the enclosure. Again, this would have been at least 700 years in advance of the Babylonian or Chinese employment of the “Zhang” or Metonic cycle, assuming the practice of the intercalary cycles reflected in the alignment of curtains with the walls reflecting the Creator’s temporal order in the Hebrew Tabernacle.

Figure 1. The Four Lunar Phases

Image result for quarter moon images

Divisions of seven-day weeks divide the four basic lunar phases seen in Figure 1. Starting with a New Moon and the first sighting of its crescent, the Moon is observed according to regular monthly patterns from New Moon, waxing to 1st Quarter Moon, to Full Moon, then waning to 4th Quarter Moon, and back to New Moon. Original Hebrew illuminations of lunar time, put God between the weeks on Sabbath Days.

The first half Moon is visible in about seven-days, so the first week of the Lunar month is placed between the New Moon crescent and the 1st Quarter Moon. The Moon waxes from the Quarter to the Full Moon at the end of two weeks. The Moon’s light then reverses phase in the third week, as it wanes to half visibility. A fourth week completes the month and visibility again recedes toward a New Moon. As the four-week cycle of seven days each in the four lunar phases completes the month, we can envision how the 28 times in 2 sets of 14 pairs, from Ecc. 3:1-8. will correlate to this cycle of the lunar month.

The Hebrew word for “time” [H6256-eth] in Ecc. 3:1, means “the right or proper time. In the plural it refers to circumstances, events or courses of time. Strong’s says there are three principle situations described by etha. Regular events. b. An appropriate time for unrecurring incidents. c. A set time. The Greek equal is Kairos [G2540]. 12 The monthly lunar phases would fall under the 1st or 3rd of the three options above; the regular events or lunar phases of the repeating sidereal lunar cycle.

Figure 2. Monthly Lunar Phases

Image result for quarter moon images

As seen in the Tabernacle measures above, the synodic lunar month measures 29.53o59-days. Alternating lunar months of 29-days or 30-days were common practice in lunisolar calendar systems. The average lunar month of 29.5-days repeats upon sighting the New Moon. This Lunar cycle dictates the pattern of Lunar light and darkness, and these 14 pairs of “times” depict 14 sets of opposites, between the light and dark of the Moon, wherein this range of human activity, the Almighty fellowships with His people.

One of the overarching purposes of Ecclesiastes is to explain the Meaning of life, by first realizing that meaning in life is not to be found in life itself, which from a humanistic view is meaningless, being hostile and inscrutable, and thus a vanity as Solomon summarizes. But from a godly perspective, when we view life from the purposes of the Life-Giver, then the true meaning of life can be ascertained. Its main purpose was to show the futility of human existence apart from God.

I trust you have found this Tabernacle Tour valuable in expanding your understanding of the Hebrew Lunar Calendar, and the Lunar Mansions from multiple Biblical perspectives.

God Bless!

The Biblical Astronomy of the Lunar Mansions

The Biblical Astronomy of the Lunar Mansions

A Brief History of the Lunar Mansions

Recently, you may have noticed festivities in current events attached to the Lunar New Year.
The Lunar Mansions or Zodiac of the Moon, has a rich history, although more obscure than its Solar counterpart. Much of the Astronomical Lore tied to the Lunar Mansions has been linked to astrology due to a greater emphasis on the Solar Calendar in western culture, along with a resulting lack of attention on it’s Lunar sister. If you have ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant, you are familiar with the placemats with the signs of the Chinese Lunar Zodiac.
As we can see from the Chinese Dragon linked to the Lunar New Year below, China is one
of the ancient cultures that has a strong recognition of the Lunar Zodiac, along with India’s Nakshatra’s, and the ancient Arabian Manzils. Frances Rolleston is one of the few western scholars of Biblical Astronomy who has paid any attention to this area, as is evident from her Poetic “Memorial Lines on the Lunar Mansions” below. Each of these 28 Lunar Mansions are based on a division of the ecliptic into 12 degrees and 51 minutes, based on the daily mean lunar motion through the ecliptic. With our emphasis on Biblical Astronomy, we want
to avoid astrological associations of any kind, unless they can shed added light on the truth, as we have seen in other cases where ancient mythologies have preserved truths prior to astrological corruptions having set in. With the Poem below, and the addition of the Arab “Manzils,” which are the Lunar Mansions that likely had the greatest influence on western astronomical lore until more recently. We have also included the star names correlating to the Lunar camps” as the Moon passes through these constellations on it’s monthly trek.

The Chinese Lunar New Year is observed throughout China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore as well as other Asian countries, and in Chinatowns around the world. Originating in the region
of Guangzhou, in south China, this is the equivalent of their Spring Festival observance. For those familiar with the Hebrew Spring festival, called Passover, there are similarities between the two ancient cultures, that are not apparent at first blush. Another name for the Hebrew Spring festival is Chag Ha’aviv. The month when the Israelites left Egypt was the first of the year. This was called Abib, the “month of ears” of grain. It was the spring month of the opening of harvest, later called Nisan, as it is known today (Exodus 23:15; 34:18; Deut. 16:1; Esther 3:7). This was a lunar month to which the Hebrews were already accustomed, the change came in making this the first “month,” which was not the case before.

While the Jewish New Year is commonly thought of as Rosh Hashanah which typically comes around in early fall, Passover is actually considered one of four possible Jewish New Years. The term “Rosh Hashanah” does not appear in the Torah; in fact, in both Exodus and Ezekiel, the Hebrew month of Aviv — later renamed Nisan, referred to the beginning of the year or the first month of the year. Nisan is also the month of Passover. Since the Chinese word for “year” is nian, we also can see some common language roots between China and Israel, which are believed to go back to some of Noah’s sons settling in ancient China.

Chinese Lunar Mansions 1

Chinese New Year, like Passover, Rosh Hashanah and all Jewish holidays, occur at various times each year in two months of the Gregorian calendar (January and February), because the Chinese calendar, like the Hebrew calendar, is based on the Metonic cycle, a luni-solar calendar that intercalates an extra month every 19 years. Generally, the Chinese New Year falls on the second new moon after the winter solstice, but the similarities in the Chinese & Hebrew Lunar calendars don’t stop there. These festivals also share rituals and traditions that bear a  striking resemblance.

In Judaism, the Passover festival is known primarily for an emphasis on the precious blood of the Lamb, which was fulfilled later in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. In Egypt, the blood was placed over, and on the sides of the door-posts to protect the inhabitants against the plague of the Death angel, who wiped out the first-born of Egypt that night. From this, the spiritual practice of the mezuzah was taken, which are ornate containers of miniature scrolls of verses of Scripture, that are hung on door thresholds for protection.

In preparation for New Year’s celebrations in China, homes are decorated in red, a practice linked back to the story of a Chinese New Year monster, or Chinese version of the death angel,  roaming the countryside killing children and livestock. As people discovered that the monster was afraid of the color red, they began hanging red lanterns, wearing red clothes, draping doors with red cloth and posting red scrolls printed with lucky messages on their doorposts! The red amulets are meant specifically to ward off an evil monster bent on killing children. Even as Hebrew custom ushers in most festivals with a ritual meal [Passover Seder] on the eve of the first day of the holiday, Chinese New Year also kicks off with a “reunion dinner” with special foods. As the poetic lines of the Lunar Mansions below mirror the signs of the Lunar Zodiac in China, Arabia and India, so they hold special meaning for Israel also.

The Star Calendar or Sidereal Lunar Year has 364 days, which is exactly 28 sets of 13 days, a perfect match with equally spaced lunar stations. The 28 Lunar Mansions divide into 7 x 4 along the lines of the four Cherubim angels each with seven mansions, a pattern we will see developed below.

As the Cherubim travel in the presence of the Heavenly Father in His celestial temple, so they were depicted in the earthly Temple and Tabernacle also. Since the Cherubim were sewn in the curtains of the Tabernacle, is noteworthy regarding the stellar significance associated with their four faces depicting the Cardinal Directions. As we have noted, their four faces correspond to the signs of the zodiac at the four-corners of the ecliptic, and also as guardians of God’s throne-room. The Cherubim also carry symbolic weight regarding the cycle of the precession of the equinoxes because their four faces/signs function as precessional markers for the Age of Taurus, as seen in Numbers 23-24. Since the cycle of precession serves as the primary clock of Cosmic Ages, the symbolic aspects of the Cherubim serve to harmonize spacetime in the Creator’s Intelligent Design of His Creation, and like the Great Pyramid, they serve as a temporal key to the ages of precession and related Biblical Administrations. This is a key in opening our understanding, because Israel’s Tabernacle housed the Ark of the Covenant in the holiest of all, signifying the presence of Jehovah in a Covenant relationship with His chosen people, as the central purpose for all Creation. As the Cherubim overspread the Mercy-seat that covered the Ark of the Covenant, their function as guardians was realized, as it is in their image depicted upon the Veil into the Holiest of all.

The Ark of the Covenant

four colors of the tabernacle

This idea is supported in the four colors of the Tabernacle’s curtains hanging on its internal walls. The four colors employed in the Tabernacle; red, blue, purple and white, alternated in succession as the curtains completed a circuit around the walls in the Tabernacle. James Strong, of Strong’s Concordance fame, gives us a glimpse of the perfect order of how the Cherubim were depicted on these colored curtains of the Tabernacle, in accordance with the wooden planks of the Tabernacle’s walls;

As the full planks are each 1 & 1/2 cubits wide, with a knob and loop to each, and as the joined sheets are each twice as long as the entire circuit of planks, it follows that every looped portion assigned to plank must be 3 cubits long, which allows exactly one cubit for each of the component stripes of color. Now since the flat panels of violet, containing the figure of the cherubim, are each to be 5/6ths of a cubit wide between the ends of the loops that stretch them out, or a full cubit including the loops and their eyelets, there are left two cubits for the other two colors, one on each slope of the intervening fold of cloth… each of these separate curtains was 28 cubits long, giving nine full series of colors,
[9 x 3=27], with a surplus cubit [totaling 28] for an entire stripe, which must have fallen short or been redundant at one end or the other.”4

Hebrew Tabernacle with wooden planks and Curtains.

nine full series of colored curtains

The nine full series of colored curtains above, yielding 27 cubits, with the surplus cubit marking the 28th, is a symbolic recognition of the Sidereal Lunar Month, which is counted against the backdrop of the stars, in the time it takes for the Moon to return to the same stars in the sky. This sidereal month is 27.322 days, the period marked between the 27th and 28th in the series of colored curtains, during which time the Earth travels 1/13th of its annual orbit around the Sun. This is another way to understand the 364-day year of 13 months of 28 days, while depicting the lunar symbolism as the lesser light rules the night.

This divine pattern of the Tabernacle given to Moses by revelation from God, exhibits a perfect
luni-solar Symmetry between the 4 colored curtains, with the cherubim shown on them, and the wooden planks of its walls. This shows how the laws of heaven [cherubim/ curtains] reigning on earth [wooden planks]. A reflection Symmetry is noted here, due to the four colored curtains mirroring each other as they complete their circuit around the Tabernacle walls, even as the light of the Moon reflects Sun-light on the Earth. This pattern is indicated by James Strong below;

Thus, the reversal of the order of the stripes on the opposite sides of the room is so compensated by the change in the panels at the corners that strict regularity is maintained throughout the entire series, and yet complete correspondence in the position of the 20 violet cherubim-panels on each side, and seven at the end…This gives exactly 7 cherubim
to each side, and the same number to the rear of the Most Holy Place, and 14 to each side and the adjoining half of the Veil in the Holy Place, while the 2 on the Mercy Seat correspond to the two on the Veil
; in no instance is a cherub on two colors at once. Moreover, if the Veil itself be made to consist of two broad stripes {purple & Crimson} for its 2 cherubim, respectively, with a half stripe of violet on either edge like all the other door screens, this will complete the circuit of the colors continuously in their uniform order around the three sides of the Holy Place, as well as those of the Most Holy.5

This shows the divine seven-fold pattern of the order of Cherubim according to their regular distribution around the four colored curtains of the Tabernacle walls of both the Holy Place, and the Holy of the Holies. As we find this pattern in the earthly Tabernacle, so we also find it in the Heavenly Tabernacle, as Revelation 15 reveals. [Rev. 8:2]

The pattern of the 7 angels of God in relation to the four “beasts” or living creatures, depicting the Cardinal Directions is upheld in the heavenly Tabernacle even as we see in its earthly model. This 7 x 4 pattern yielding 28 also relates to the lunar cycle, aligning to the solar cycle, as we will find in the Tabernacle structure. The enemy continues to adhere parasitically to the original order set down by the Almighty, in ordering and marshaling his legions of fallen angels. As we have seen the pattern of seven repeated in the fallen angelic orders, we also find an image of “four beasts” resembling the “dragon decans” or serpent monsters [Draco, Hydra, Cetus, & Serpens] in the starry signs of the night sky. As we take a closer look at the Biblical significance of these four colors in the Tabernacle, we will begin to get an idea of the depth of this symbolism, along with its rendition by the god of this world. Let’s start by viewing the Creator’s Covenant with His Creation as seen in Jeremiah.

Our view of the orders and organization of these angelic ministering spirits gains new insights when considered in light of the Lunar Mansions. The Covenant that God has kept with Israel, started with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, [Gen. 15:5], with its foundations in Noah and Adam. This Covenant is tied to the Order of Creation that God instituted with His system of Natural Law during Creation Week. We find evidence of this pact in Jer. 33:20 ff, in the Covenant of Day and Night, that set the timekeeping standards of God’s temporal order, by which the angels themselves are also ordered. If the Covenant of the stars is broken by man, the covenant of man’s seed was negatively impacted also. This was the first  pattern established by the Creator, but corrupted in astrologically inspired heathen calendars, given over to the idols and heathen day-gods. The context of this original Covenant is carried forward in Jer. 33:20-22 below.

Jer. 33:20-22
(Jer 33:20) Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 If518 ye can break6565 (853) my covenant 1285 of the day,3117 and my covenant1285 of the night,3915 and that there should not1115 be1961 day3119 and night3915 in their season;6256

(Jer 33:21) Then may also1571 my covenant1285 be broken6565 with854 David1732 my servant,5650 that he should not have4480, 1961 a son1121 to reign4427 upon5921 his throne;3678 and with854 the Levites3881 the priests,3548 my ministers.8334
(Jer 33:22) As834 the host6635 of heaven8064 cannot3808 be numbered,5608 neither 3808 the sand2344 of the sea3220 measured:4058 so3651 will I multiply7235 (853) the seed 2233 of David1732 my servant,5650 and the Levites 3881 that minister unto 8334 me.

As we consider this order of the ecliptic, from its lunar perspective we can see how the seven-fold order of angels extends around the full circle of the ecliptic according to the four faces of the Cherubim. God’s Covenant with Creation included both the Day and Night. Initially, a like Covenant was set between the Angels of the First Heavens and Earth, until it was broken in the rebellion of Lucifer, and his third of the angels. But the vestiges of this Covenant which are evident in the angelic order of the Tabernacle curtains, and the Lunar cycle, are still intact for the Godly angels serving the Almighty, in the Second Heavens and Earth. Jeremiah also refers not only to King David as God’s servant but also to the Levites [H3881] the priests, [H3548] and my ministers, [H8334]. With the Creation of mankind, the seed of David leading to Christ as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, is also included in this order.

Another applied element of the 28 lunar station stars was something that John reported in the book of Revelation in his vision of the heavens. He said that besides the four beasts that surround the throne of God, there was also a circle of 24 seats for 24 elders (Rev. 4:4, 7). “Noting that 24 plus 4 is 28, it appears like the 28 lunar stations may be the four corner-stone stars along with 24 others chosen from the zodiac constellations, on the path of the Moon. The four corner constellations are a lion (Leo), a bull (Taurus), a man (Aquarius) and a serpent (scorpion), which is the evil counterpart of the flying eagle, just as John described the four beasts.” Since the 24 elders are faithful servants of God, it seems fitting to equate the 24 elders with 24 remaining stars of the lunar mansions.”6

This not only shows an integration between the angelic hosts and human servants, which we find the blueprints for in the 24 priestly courses of the OT in [I Chron. 23-27], but also depicts the Lordship of Jesus Christ in both the angelic hosts, and the kingdoms of man over which he currently rules. The 24 priestly courses ran on a continuous cycle of 168 days [24 courses x 7 days per course] that began when King Solomon initiated them in 951 BC. 7 According to one program, the characters of the Hebrew Alphabet spelling a Name of God, yielded 168 letters, divided into 6 letters for each of the 28 Lunar Mansions.

The Bible defines the division of the priestly courses in the 12 months of the year as follows in [1 Chron. 27:1-15]:

As for the sons of Israel by their number, the heads of the paternal houses and the chiefs of the thousands and of the hundreds and their officers that were ministering to the king in every matter of the divisions of those that came in and that went out month by month for all the months of the year, each division was 24,000.
Over the first division of the first month there was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel, and in his division there were 24,000.
Some of the sons of Perez the head of all the chiefs of the service groups were for the first month.
And over the division of the second month there was Dodai the Ahohite with his division, and Mikloth was the leader, and in his division there were 24,000.
The chief of the 3rd service group for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada the chief priest, and in his division there were 24,000.
This Benaiah was a mighty man of the 30 and over the 30; and [over] his division there was Ammizabad his son.
The 4th for the 4th month was Asahel, Joab’s brother, and Zebadiah his son after him, and in his division there were 24,000.
The 5th chief for the 5th month was Shamhuth the Izrahite, and in his division there were 24,000.
The 6th for the 6th month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, and in his division there were 24,000.
10 The 7th for the 7th month was Helez the Pelonite of the sons of Ephraim, and in his division there were 24,000.
11 The 8th for the 8th month was Sibbecai the Hushathite of the Zerahites, and in his division there were 24,000.
12 The 9th for the 9th month was Abi-ezer the Anathothite of the Benjaminites, and in his division there were 24,000.
13 The 10th for the 10th month was Maharai the Netophathite of the Zerahites, and in his division there were 24,000.
14 The 11th for the 11th month was Benaiah the Pirathonite of the sons of Ephraim, and in his division there were 24,000.
15 The 12th for the 12th month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, and in his division there were 24,000 (1 Chronicles 27).

In an alternative program, a Name of God spelled in Hebrew characters divided into 12 groups, of 14 letters, aligned with each of the primary 12 constellations. As the 28 “times” of [Ecclesiastes 3:1-8] divide into two groups of 14 positive and negative “times” as these lunar mansions, the 14 examples of “good times” are said to originate from the 14 letters in the name of God [YHVH Elohenu YHVH]. 8 As an obvious reference similar to [Matt. 6:33], when a man seeks God’s Kingdom first, his days will be blessed, so that he prevails even in “difficult days.”

Tabernacle Colors

We can see this four-fold pattern carried further in the four colors of the Tabernacle, as they embody together the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the chief corner-stone in the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, showing his dominion over all Creation. As we have seen, the four celestial pillars/cherubim correspond to the four Cardinal Directions, known as the equinox and Solstice, seen on the ecliptic and Equator at the four-corners of the heavens. These four cardinal points correspond to the tribes, zodiacal signs and colors as follows:

The vision of Ezekiel at the river Chebar describes these living creatures, specifically their four faces, matching the signs of the four Cardinal Directions of the heavens. As we have noted regarding the North, it was omitted, as only 3 sides of the Tabernacle are disclosed regarding the order of its Curtains. In the North we find the face of Aquila the Eagle [Eze.1:10], replacing that of his natural enemy, the Scorpion/ serpent, as is evident in the triple sign
Ophiuchus as he wrestles Serpens the serpent, representing the dragon who fell from his first estate as a lead archangel of God. The gap opened by this fall, will be superseded by the authority of Christ over his Body-the Church, including not only this authority over human kingdoms but angelic kingdoms also. This consistent pattern of four is seen through all the world’s order, for example in the four basic alchemical elements: earth, wind, fire and water. This also carries over into the four states of matterliquidsolidgas and Plasma, not to mention the 4 forces of natureGravitational forceElectro-magnetic force,
Weak Nuclear force and Strong Nuclear force. This basic pattern of nature is not only witnessed in the ministry of angels, but in Christ’s ministry also, as reflected in the 4 gospels above. Thus, as we view the two phases of the return of Christ, first in his sufferings and then in glory, we find the following division along the lines of Christ’s ministry, as seen in the four gospels:

Sufferings

He came as a man/Son of Man/Luke/Aquarius
He sacrificed his life/Servant/MarkEagle for Scorpion

Glory

The Son coming in judgment/Son of God/John/Taurus
The Lion-king of Judah rending his prey/King/Matthew/Leo

These symbolic references to the four quarters of heaven, seen in the four unified faces of the Cherubim, represent a composite view of the celestial/earthly Tabernacle structure, that witnesses to the return of Jesus Christ with his Saints, to execute judgment on the wicked. The added 7 x 4= 28 symbolism of the celestial Cherubim/24 elders, becomes more apparent as our study continues.

These Godly angels are led by the Archangels Michael and Gabriel even as the fallen angels are led by the Dragon, as seen in Rev. 12:1-9. Our view of these godly angels, in this study will be in the context of their ongoing battle against the evil angels or devil spirits, who were cast down with the dragon from heaven. This record depicts a key example of the relationship between how the stars are symbols of Draco the dragon and his spirit realm of fallen angels, an important element of our study of the “Host of Heaven.” Michael [one who is like God] brings God’s authority and stands for God’s people against the dark spiritual forces of the Dragon’s world kingdom of fallen angels, [Jude 9] in the spiritual warfare currently being waged, as seen in Revelation 12.

The great wonder in heaven here refers to a celestial sign, which is confirmed by the mention here of the Sun, Moon & Stars. The only woman, or female sign of the zodiac is Virgo, which actually has 12 literal stars around her head, but also is the first sign of the Biblical zodiac as it is figuratively and monumentally preserved in the head of The Great Sphinx.

(Rev 12:3) And2532 there appeared3700 another243 wonder4592 in1722 heaven;3772 and2532 behold2400 a great3173 red4450 dragon,1404 having2192 seven2033 heads2776 and2532 ten1176 horns,2768 and2532 seven2033 crowns1238 upon1909 his848 heads.

The word “appeared” [G3700] refers to a gaze of fascination, noting its structure and function as something to be wondered at. These verses will teach us much about the order of the spirit realm, or Dragon’s Kingdom of fallen angel’s if we pay attention. The 2nd “wonder of heaven,” is a celestial sign like the previous verse, but referring to a different kind of sign, a circumpolar called Draco the Dragon set by the Creator at the northern Celestial Pole [Job 26:13]. This is the first of 13 uses of “dragon” in the Book of Revelation, indicative of the disorderly and rebellious nature of the fiery Red Dragon. Once again we find the seven fold order of the Dragon’s spirit kingdom referenced in the Dragon’s 7 heads along with the 7 crowns upon his 7 heads. These 7 heads imply 7 ruling [unclean spirits-daimon; Revelation 16:13-14] who embody a leading aspect of the Dragon’s power over his earthly kingdom, as we find in [Dan. 10].

Apian’s Astronomicum Caesareum,” [Ingolstadt 1540 AD]

head tail of the dragon

Here we have the dragon’s head associated with its tail, since the tail always does what the head tells it to do. In the graphic above from “Apian”s Astronomicum Caesareum,” [Ingolstadt 1540 AD] depicting the alternating head and tail of the dragon, we find 27 [9 x 3] points on the circle around the central dragon. This relates directly to the lunar calendar, or the Draconic Month, also known in Astrology as the Head & Tail of the Dragon. As we stop to consider the geometry applied here, we find an interesting dynamic. This is a shadow of the pattern we saw above in the nine full series of colored curtains of 27 cubits in the Tabernacle, referring to the Sidereal Lunar Month of 27.322 days. Geometrically, the numbers 3:9:27 reflect a relationship where 9 is the geometric mean between 3 and 27. Thus, 9 equals the square root of 3 x 27, or 81. The Mayan knowledge of this is geometry
is indicated in one of their most accurate lunar calendars, based on 81 full moons occurring every 2,392 days. Here we find a celestial image of the spiritual hierarchy of the enemy’s kingdom of 1/3 the host of Heaven, based on an aspect of the lunar sidereal cycle, counted against the backdrop of the stars. We should also take note that the common ratio underlying all of this, without variation is 1:3. This invariant ratio, can also be expressed as 1/3, which reflects the third part of the angels dragged down to Earth in the dragon’s tail in Rev. 12:4 above. Thus we find common elements in the order of Cherubim depicted on
the curtains of the Tabernacle, with the 27 days of the sidereal lunar month, as they correlate to the Draconic month of the dragon’s head and tail.

These ancient links with dragon and the lunar cycle, are also witnessed in the fact that in Astrology, a lunar Node; the point where the Moon crosses over the ecliptic, was also called the dragon’s head and tail, dictating the periods of the eclipse cycle, according to the phi ratio. The Eclipse limits for both solar and lunar eclipses are dictated by a 6 degree range within 12.5° to 18.5° of the lunar Node, wherein a New Moon or Full Moon takes place. The accuracy of the Mayan lunar calendar is indicated in its 11,960 days [2392 x 5] or 405 lunations, [260 x 46 in tzolkin terms] when divided [11,960÷ 405= 29.5308] gives us a lunar synodic cycle of 29.5308 days. When this lunar synodic cycle is divided by the 69 groups or families of days when solar eclipses occur, [29.5038÷ 69=173.333] we get the average period of 173.333 days between [10] eclipses. As the Sun links with a lunar Node when two of these 173.333 periods elapse, it gives us an eclipse year of 346.62 days, 18.6 days short of the solar year of 365.242. This reveals the basis of the phi ratio because 18.618 x 18.618=346.62 telling us that the lunar cycle relates to the eclipse cycle via the phi ratio of 1.618.

Since the six degree range of the lunar Node was formerly tied to Draco at the northern Celestial Pole, it indicates the time before the dragon was cast down to the earth with his spirit realm. However, after the dragon was cast down, its head and tail would be transferred from the polar regions, down to the ecliptic, where the Hydra is located. This powerful figure of casting down the dragon, with his 1/3 of the stars of heaven, [fallen angels] to the Earth with him, is symbolized as a Meteor shower from the Constellation Draco, during the period of Christ’s birth. For a deeper look into this topic, check our website study: Introduction to the Jupiter-Regulus Conjunctions. Also noteworthy is the section on “Lunar eclipses and Occultations” under the study on the Calendar of the Biblical Patriarchs. This verse [Rev. 12:4] also relates directly back to the first prophecy of the promised seed in Gen. 3:15, where the seed of the woman would bruise the serpent’s head, while the serpent’s seed would bruise the man’s heel. As the dragon’s head directs the spirit realm in his tail, the desired acts of persecution and destruction against the woman’s seed are carried out by the serpent’s seed-those who follow the Way of Cain [Jude 1:11], in open rebellion against the true God. This reveals the overriding purpose of the serpent, devouring the promised seed of the woman, as soon as he was born. We saw an example of this in the actions of the serpent’s seed-King Herod, who murdered all the male children around Bethlehem under age 2, in an effort to devour the infant Jesus, as soon as he was born. Having failed at this, the enemy turned his attention to believers in the Church, the spiritual body of Christ.

This provides context and among other things, depicts a seven fold angelic order of the spirit realm in the orders of angels under Satan, [Rev. 8:2] but also develops a fuller grasp of the link between the serpent’s seed and lunar symbolism, which we have referenced in other studies on this blog and website.

This verse encapsulates the victorious life, ministry and completed work of Jesus Christ, from birth to resurrection and beyond, in one verse of Scripture. This is a figure of speech called symperasma, providing a summary and conclusion of the subject-the inevitable Coming and ultimate Victory of the Promised Seed. This emphasis shows Christ’s ultimate victory over the serpent and its seed, despite all the enemy’s efforts to obstruct the purposes of the Heavenly Father. This emphasis is monumentally preserved in the Great Sphinx with the head of the Woman Virgo bearing the infant promised seed, who matures to fulfill his highest of callings, by defeating and destroying the enemy’s work, as shown in the other 10 zodiacal signs between Virgo and Leo. His final victory over the serpent is witnessed in Leo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah [Rev. 5:5], as the Lion’s extended claws are set to rend the Hydra to pieces. The Hydra is the longest of the Constellations, extending below Libra’s scales through Virgo and Leo to include the Crab of Cancer. These four signs; the woman, her seed, his sacrifice, and the altar, not only represent 1/3 of the entire circle of the 12 signs of the zodiac, but also reflect a carnal image of Christ’s righteous sacrifice, in the religion of human works, attempting to earn salvation while ignoring the completed work of Grace, given by God in His only begotten Son. Thus, as the Hydra [the serpent destroyed] slithers below these four signs of the zodiac, he represents the counterfeit and the deception of antichrist, leading away from, and denying the true work of Christ. This is an important aspect of the devil’s works that Christ came to destroy [John 10:10, I John 3:8].

In verse 7 we have the Archangel Michael contending in spiritual warfare against the dragon and his angels even as we see in [Daniel 10]. In verse 9 we find four names of the adversary [dragon, old serpent, the Devil, and Satan], referring to four different aspects of the enemy’s spiritual dominion over the darkness of this world. We also see a fifth name-deceiver, which is a common trait in the other four serpent names of the enemy. The Devil must deceive people into following his ways, because nobody in their right mind would ever voluntarily follow him if they knew his true nature. Thus, deception is a universal trait of the enemy’s kingdom, and his mode of operation. This shows how the enemy has marshaled his spiritual forces of fallen angels in direct juxtaposition the Godly order, reflected both in the curtains of the Tabernacle, and in the Cardinal Directions, against the 27 alternating lunar stations of the head and tail of the dragon. We have just seen two examples of how the serpentine aspects of the enemy’s spiritual dominion are celestially represented in the DragonDraco and the Hydra.

In addition to the Lunar days, the sidereal month also divides into 28 equal sections, that correspond to the Lunar Mansions, which appear as the 28 “camps” (literally, 28 “camps of the Moon“) and the Divine Presence, corresponding to the 28 phases of the lunar zodiac. This pattern is also illustrated in another Biblical reference in Ecc. 3: 2-8, which begins;

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (3:1). These 28 times corresponding to the 28 camps of the divine presence can also refer to names of God. There are 28 angelic rulers (28 lunar angels) governing the lunar mansions as we have seen in the order of Cherubim on the circuit of colored Tabernacle curtains. The word for “season” here is [H4150moed] meaning an “appointed time,” used many times of the sacred 7 Feasts of Israel. 11

Ecclesiastes 3 depicts a pattern of fourteen benevolent “times” and fourteen malevolent ones. These are thought to apply to “good” and “bad” time cycles of the 28 “Lunar Mansions,” fourteen from the aspect of Chesed (Mercy or Benevolence) aligned with the Angelic servants of light, and fourteen from the aspect of Din or Pachad (“judgment” or Gevurah), with fallen angels. These 14 positive and 14 negative aspects listed here configure in seven positive and negative pairs relating to the seven “double letters” of the Hebrew Alphabet, as well as seven attributes or qualities associated with these Hebrew letters, as seen in the chart below.

“Seven Pairs” Structure of Ecclesiastes 3:2-8

From the 28 times in Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 we see the obvious juxtaposition to “easy times vs. “difficult” ones14 on either side, like 2 hands. These associated attributes with the twenty-eight “times” in Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 come in pairs, and in each pair, one element
is the opposite of the other. Birth – Death; Planting – Plucking; Killing – Healing; Breaking down – Building up, etc. This strongly suggests the goal is to portray a range of human
activity according to this pattern whether good or evil, depending on individual choice. Again, with the knowledge that all these results can occur in life, with God on our side in His path of righteousness, we can still prevail in the most difficult of “times” in this world. This brings to mind Deut. 30, where God’s Word lists some related pairs resulting from freewill choice
He has given to all men
, to walk in their lives in the ways that they choose to go.

Deut. 30:19-20

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

God not only gives us this freewill choice, He also tells us which choice benefits us the most! Choose life People…

God Bless,

Rene’

Biblical Astronomy of the Seven Genesis Titles of Christ

Biblical Astronomy of the Seven Genesis Titles of Christ

There is a phrase in Bible Research that says; “Genesis is the book of Revelation concealed, and Revelation is the Book of Genesis revealed.” This month’s blog illustrates this truth in a number of interesting and enlightening ways. The impetus for this teaching came from one of Jon Nessle’s teachings where he mentioned “Seven Penteuech Titles of Christ” that he saw in a note from E.W. Bullinger”s Companion Bible, including the Seed, Star, Shiloh, Stone/Rock,
Shepherd, Scepter and Lawgiver.

In Genesis 3 we have the first prophecy of the Promised Seed [zera-2233] in the Bible.

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattleAnd more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Contained in this initial prophecy of the Promised Seed, are also the first of seven Genesis titles pertaining to Christ. Surely the Promised Seed is the key to all human generations as Christ is Lord and Savior who provides the way of access back to God, which was lost in the serpent’s temptation of Eve. As the tempter was able to spread the seeds of destruction to all mankind by tempting Eve to break God’s Command, causing the loss of man’s spiritual link with the Heavenly Father, so the need for mankind’s Reedemer-Jesus Christ became a reality. But let us not forget the ruling principle of the seed at the basis of all the Kingdoms of Life, as seen in Genesis 1.

11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seedand the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

Much more than Maverick’s “need for speed” in the movie “Topgun,” mankind has a much bigger “need for seed” and the redemption only available in the perfect seed, Jesus Christ. The concept of this Genesis title is developed further in the line of Abraham in Genesis 15:2-7;

But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing[b]go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one[c] born in my house is my heir!”

And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants [seed] be.” And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Then He said to him, “am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”

In verse 5 above, God draws a direct comparison for Abraham between his seed and the stars of the celestial gospel.

The word for “seed” here in God’s promise to Abraham is (H2233zera), which has an interesting history of usage in both sacred and profane writings. In the Chaldean star religion, which had such a strong corrupting influence throughout the ancient world, he who was this “great seed” was also the Sun incarnate. Hislop tells us that:

“Symbolically the emblem for the sun was a circle, in reference to the sun’s ecliptical path.” 1 The true great seed prophetically is Jesus Christ, the promised redeemer of mankind referred to in Jeremiah 33.

Jer. 33:20-22

20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season21Then may also My covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

God inspires Jeremiah to make an inseparable connection between His “covenant of the dayand My covenant of the night,” and His “covenant with the seed of David my servant.” Why? One reason is the heavens tell of God’s Covenant with the seed of David with precision, corresponding with the regular observance of their Sabbatical and Jubilee years, in harmony with the Soli-lunar calendar of Israel. Jesus Christ the embodiment of the seed of David, came to fulfill the Scripture, and began his ministry in the Sabbatical Year of 27-28 AD, as part of the OT Hebrew Jubilee cycle. All 12 signs of the mazzaroth with each decan, tell a chapter of the struggle between the seed of the woman versus the serpent’s seed, as prophesied by God in Genesis 3:15. The Promised Seed Jesus Christ is the master key to unlocking the secrets of both the Celestial Gospel and the Scriptures, not to mention true Archaeo-Astronomy.

Hislop’s comments are relevant in that; “the hieroglyphical relation between zero, the circle, and zero, the seed, was easily established.”2 Hislop gives a nod to the correlation between The Promised Seed, in light of the mathematical implications of zero, and the geometric significance of the circle, and that these relations go far beyond their mere hieroglyphical associations. This also relates to how Christ as the Shepherd of Psalm 23 embodies the Jehovah-Names of God, as we will see below.

In Genesis 17:1-9 we find more on Abraham’s story;

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am
 [a]Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of [b]many nations. No longer shall your name be called [c]Abram, but your name shall be [d]Abraham; for I have made you a father of [e]many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants [seed] after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in[f] which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an ever-lasting possession; and I will be their God.” And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

The Faith of Abraham is the undeniable foundation of Christian faith today. [Rom. 4]

Figuratively, the Sun as a symbol of the promised seedJesus Christ, weaves his way through the circular path of the ecliptic and the 12 houses of the Hebrew Mazzaroth, showing us the basic relationship between God’s earthly seed and His heavenly seed.

Gen. 22:17-18

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My voice. [Num. 24:7]

The union of the Alpha-Omega signs of Leo the lion, with the woman Virgo in the female-headed Great Sphinx also depict the life of Jesus, from birth, starting in the Star-set of Spica on September 11th, 3 BC. This is depicted in Gen. 49:9 as his human maturation from lion’s whelp, where his prey is provided for him, to stalking his own prey, unto his ultimate victory casting down and rending the dragon. This is the three-fold theme that ties directly to the celestial wonders of Revelation 12, linking God’s Word together with His stellar revelation. We find this set for us at the canonical start and close of both the Biblical and stellar gospels, forming a parallel testimony of the Scriptures with the stars. We have seen powerful specific examples of this in the celestial triple coronation ceremony of the three unions of Jupiter and Regulus in Leo, marking the birth of Christ. We even see the influence of this theme surviving in the famed mythology of the “Riddle of the Sphinx.” In the Greek mythology surrounding the female-headed Sphinx, she asks Oedipus the riddle; What is the animal which goes on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon and three legs at night?

The Sphinx and Oedipus

Image may contain: one or more people

His reply is Man, crawling as an infant, walking erect in manhood and in old age with a staff. 3
This mirrors the celestial symbolism of the Jupiter-Regulus triple unions seen in Genesis 49:9 depicting the growth cycle of the lion from whelp, to adult lion, to the aged lion at rest. This is another example of the corrupting influence of myth that still retains elements of the truth it hides. This triple Conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus in Leo marking the birth of Christ, also exemplifies the narrative of the celestial gospel, the great stellar witness of the ages which embodies God’s first revelation to the Patriarchs, beginning with Adam. As the star names of the 12 Constellations of the zodiac along with each of their decans relate aspects of the nature, sufferings and glory of the Promised Seed, so this witness is summarized in the first and last zodiacal signs that compromise the Great Sphinx. All of this is established by the witness of Scripture, as we’ve seen in Gen. 49:8-10, for example among many others, setting the truth in stone.

In Genesis 49 we find important Messianic prophecies relating to Jesus Christ in context of Jacob’s blessings of his 12 sons, and the Genesis titles of ChristGen. 49:8-10 delineates God’s promises for the tribe of Judah;

Judah,[b] your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to youYou are a lion’s cub, Judahyou return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies downlike a lioness—who dares to rouse him?
10 The scepter will not depart from Judahnor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,[c]
until [Shiloh] he to whom it belongs[d] shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

Verse 10 refers to the scepter and the “ruler’s staff” also translated as “Lawgiver” in the KJV, and Shiloh, all three of which are Genesis titles of Christ. As this cluster of Genesis Christ titles is an eye-opener, we should pay extra attention to the witness of Scripture in Genesis 49.

The “Lawgiver” [H2710] is a key Christ title, as one who decrees, ordains and inscribes laws. 4
As Proverbs 8 extolls the virtues of godly wisdom, we learn that it is by wisdom that Kings and Princes decree justice, [8:15]. A key aspect of the Lawgiver is found in Job, in reference to the Great Sphinx which embodies the decrees of God’s Word written in the stars for the Biblical Patriarchs.

Job 19:23-25
Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed in a book! [24] That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock forever! [25] For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

These verses are indicative not only of Job’s knowledge of his coming redeemer, but also of his faith that this redeemer would stand at a future latter day upon the earth. This knowledge directly corresponds both, in a witness that was engraved in the rock forever, remaining unto our day, and the witnesses of the celestial and written gospels. The word “For,” beginning verse 25, depicts the purpose of his words along with a monumental witness in stone, whose longevity has lasted into our day, as a witness to the redeemer that Job foresaw so long ago. Thus Job’s reference, in this majestic declaration of his redeemer, graven in rock forever, is easily associated with this enduring memorial on the Giza plateau, analogous to the prophecy written in the stars in Leo and Virgo. In the only Patriarchal book of the Bible, Job’s words certainly stand out as a reference to the witness of the stars and in stone, the witness God provided to the Biblical Patriarchs in the Bible’s first canonical book written by Job.

The Great Sphinx

ancient egypt

In all likelihood, a later derivation of the word “sphinx” is found in the Egyptian “shesep ankh,” meaning a living image. 5 However, instead of the living idol images of gods or pharaohs, our proposal is that the Great Sphinx was originally intended as an oracle of the promised seed and the Messiah, with its living aspects included in the changing astronomy surrounding the signs of Virgo and Leo. Both Lockyer and Rolleston state, the Great Sphinx symbolizes the Summer
Solstice 4000 years before Christ, sealed by the union of Virgo and Leo. Rolleston notes that this junction of Virgo and Leo is marked by the star Denebola, which is a name meaning “the Lord or Judge who comes quickly,” 6 thus representing the living image, of the Lord Jesus Christ coming in judgment. As Denebola is the star marking the union of Virgo and Leo, the alpha and omega signs of the Biblical zodiac, this prophetic message of the coming Messiah has endured as the largest, and most famous sculpture on the planet.

To further cement the link between the Great Sphinx and the Scriptures, let’s take a look at Psalm 19:

Psalm 19:1-5

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The word “line” in verse 4 refers to the ecliptic as the path in the Sun’s Tabernacle, at the end of the verse. These 12 houses or “Tabernacles of the Sun” refer to the 12 signs of the zodiac
and the 12 tribes of Israel, the Bride of the Bridegroom. Here, the Bible compares the Sun to a Bridegroom in verse 5, running a race-course through the circuit of heaven, the 12 signs of the ecliptic and their decans. The Great Sphinx elucidates the details of the 19th Psalm because it unifies these Tabernacles of the Sun, first with Virgo, the woman, the Bride-Israel and last with Leo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Thus, all the tribes are presented to the Lord in preparation for the marriage supper of the Lamb, preserved in a great stone monument for the ages. As this magnificent monolith witnesses to the Astronomy of the Biblical Patriarchs, the Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid preserved the principles of Biblical Astronomy
timelessly. The witness of Scripture continues in the Book of Job, which contains more overt astronomical references, with ancient Biblical star names than any other book in the Bible.

Job 38:31-33
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? [32] Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? [33] Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? Canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

From a Biblical view the Gospel in the Stars is central to the Book of Job, since this was where God gave the Patriarchs the stellar witness and celestial narrative of the promised redeemer of man. Job’s divine writings are the only Scripture recorded, that is addressed to the Patriarchal Age. When we consider the Hebrew word “mazzaroth,” we find a very early reference to the 12 signs of the zodiac, occurring only in Job. There are other later references to these 12 signs of the ecliptic in Scripture, but this gives us more evidence of the antiquity of this knowledge of the entire zodiac, in the context of the Biblical Patriarchs. When Job spoke these words however, the Bible, or even the Pentateuch was not written yet by Moses the lawgiver. Thus, we see in verse 23, Job’s desire that his book would be part of the sacred written oracles that would correspond to this bedrock truth in the Great Sphinx, engraved in stone as a testimony to his coming redeemer.

The word “graven” *H2710 [chaqaq] in Job 19:24 means: to cut, carve, hew, square, quarry, mason or engrave. 6 This is the same word translated as “lawgiver” in Gen. 49:10, and is the same root for the word “ordinances” in Job 38:33, in the sense that the ordinances or laws of God and nature, were many times engraved in stone, or carved in a tablet. As we say God’s Word is set in stone. An important point to realize regarding this word [chaqaq] is that it is translated as “Lawgiver” in Deut. 33:21. This relates to another ancient Egyptian name of the SphinxBel-hit, which also means the “Lord who cometh.” Deuteronomy 33, records the Song of Moses, and the fifth chapter of Judges contains the Song of Deborah, both of which list the Tribes of Israel. Another occurrence of “Lawgiver” is seen below in Genesis 49, also a listing of the Tribes of Israel, all of which refer to the Biblical zodiac, containing celestial and Scriptural links to each of the tribes. These Biblical lists of the 12 tribes of Israel are refined in the discussion of the breastplate of Israel’s High Priest, which models its zodiacal symbolism. Is there a more revealing context for this important element of the Great Sphinx to appear in?

Gen 49:10
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. [KJV]

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah“- “sceptre” is [H7626 shebet] 7 in the Hebrew, the same word used in Numbers 24:17; referring to the “star [H3556-kowkab] 8 out of Jacob and sceptre out of Israel.” This star out of Jacob is a clear reference to the planet
Jupiter-the King planet and the key role its triple union with Regulus played in the astronomy of the birth of Christ, in 3 BC.

lawgiver from between his feet“- Regulus the king star and the brightest star in Leo.  “The Arabic word “regel” means “foot” and is identical in meaning to the Aramaic word “regla”
and the Hebrew word “regel” tying in with “from between his feet” above. In this one verse the Lion of JudahLeo, intertwines with the lawgiver coming from between his feet, symbolizing the king star Regulus [see Psalm 60:7]. 9 This gives a clear Biblical picture of the stellar elements of the Jupiter-Regulus triple union in Leo the lion of the tribe of Judah, seen in the three stages of the lion’s growth in Genesis 49:9!

Lawgiver“- *H2710 [chaqaq10 meaning; to cut or engrave, inscribe, establish, ordain, to decree, to be a leader, a ruler, a lawgiver; a scepter. It occurs 19 times in the Hebrew O.T. The primary meaning is “writing or drawing in the sense of etching,” [Isa. 30:8; in a book] The root can mean to enact a decree [In Prov. 8:15 a governor decreeing justice with wisdom.] This word [chaqaq] attests to the power of the coordinated decrees of God’s Word first written in the stars, then later in stone and in the Scriptures, providing a precedent for the idea of all language being rooted in the celestial alphabet, penned by the finger of God. [Ex. 32:13-16].

Finally the Word (logos) was made flesh in Jesus Christ, and God’s Word incarnate dwelt with us. These manifold witnesses to God’s omnipotent glory and Grace, all incorporate the awesome beauty and mathematical Symmetry that unveil the accuracy of all His means of divine revelation, embodied in the spoken and written word, in the stars in stone and finally in the flesh. As the Red Thread and master key to the interpretation of God’s Word, Jesus is the lawgiver, after the form of Moses, the one decreeing righteous judgment as the embodiment of the Word made flesh.

Jer. 31:35-36
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

In Jer. 31:35 the root of this word [chaqaq] is used of the light of the celestial ordinances of the Sun by day, and the Moon and stars by night, [Gen.1:16-18]. The ordinances of God’s covenant with the seed of Abraham were written with the finger of God in the rock of His holy mount,  and given to Moses the lawgiver, [Ex. 24:12, 31:18, 32:16]. This establishes the stone witness of the Sphinx, and verifies the relation between God’s celestial witness and His word written in Scripture [Ps. 19]. It is a known historical and archaeological fact that the Great Sphinx was carved out of a rock formation on the Giza plateau, which is consistent with the testimony of God’s Word in Job 19:23, where the word “rock” [*H6697] means “cliff, sharp rock compressed,
or boulder.” We can see the intimate link between God’s stellar witness of His ordinances fulfilled in His covenant with the seed of Israel in verse 36 above. This promised seed was consummated in the Lord Jesus ChristJeremiah‘s point is that the celestial witness of God’s Covenant with Day and Night [Jer. 33:20-26], has not ceased and no one is able to halt these celestial cycles and seasons set in motion by the Creator, thus the surety of the return of His Promised Seed for his people is set in the firmament, in stone and embodied in the Man Christ Jesus!

The prominent stellar aspects of the Great Sphinx, are witnessed in the first of the three unions of Jupiter and Regulus, on 9-14-3 BC. This exhibits not only the link between the ordinances of the sun and stars in Jer. 31:35, 33:25, specifically in Genesis 49:8-10, in united testimony with the stellar wonders spoken of in Revelation 12, but also the monolithic witness of the Great Sphinx to the Lawgiver of the Ages.

Thus, the Great Sphinx stands as Giza’s defiant sentinel, having weathered hundreds of centuries as a witness and messenger of both the canon of the celestial scroll of God’s Word engraved in the heavens and a prophecy of the birth of the Son of God. Always facing east, the Great Sphinx anticipates the truth of the Son-rise of the ages, whose light is the long-awaited dawning of a new day for all Mankind. This is a theme that arises again in relation to The Celestial Symbolism of the Tabernacle and Temple of Israel. When viewed in context with the witness of the Great Sphinx, this sign on 9-14-3 BC takes on added meaning, indicated in the Sphinx’ two basic elements. These two elements are detailed in the movement of the King planet Jupiter entering Leo, the lion-body of the Great Sphinx, while the Sun was in Virgo, the female head of the Sphinx. As the stars are allowed to speak in harmony with this witness in stone, the solitary guardian of the Giza plateau anticipates the dawning of a new day for mankind, predicting the birth of Spica, Virgo’s promised seed. Thus, the Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid stand, as oracles, monumental prophets of both the Alpha and Omega, the first and second advents of Jesus Christ, revealing both his sufferings and glory. These stellar aspects of the Sphinx, are reinforced by the picture of the eastern horizon during the early morning hours of September 14th, at the time of the first Jupiter-Regulus union. This distinct star picture of the Head of the woman Virgo rising above the horizon, with the body of the lion above, beginning the first of three Jupiter-Regulus unions, is definitive evidence for our thesis. It is key to realize that the signs of the Lord’s birth occured in Virgo, the alpha sign of the Biblical zodiac, but the signs of his return will occur in the omega sign-Leo, both including signs of the Celestial Sphinx. This is a clear example of the importance of the Great Sphinx as a monumental marker of the advent of God’s only begotten Son.

The Scepter in the context of the Lion of Judah refers to the King’s Scepter as the rod and staff or symbol of the King’s authority and power, as seen in the Psalms.

Psalm 45:2-7

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a [c]ready writer. You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.[d]Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majestyAnd in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humilityand righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under You.

 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdomYou love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

Isaiah 11 provides a great sense of how the Messiah employs and embodies the King’s Scepter; These verses represent a summary of the OT manifestations paired according to this biblical structure of the spirit [H7307 ruach] of Jehovah- God in relationship to His creation. The repetition of “Spiritat the start of these 7 OT categories is a figure of speech- anaphora, while the ”ands” pairing these manifestations are also the figure “polysyndeton,” emphasizing each category of these spiritual manifestations.

Isa. 11:1-5

There shall come forth a [a]Rod from the [b]stem of JesseAnd a Branch shall [c]grow out of his rootsThe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon HimThe Spirit of wisdom and understandingThe Spirit of counsel and mightThe Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

His delight is in the fear of the LordAnd He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His earsBut with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loinsAnd faithfulness the belt of His waist.

The 3rd Genesis title of Genesis 49:10 is Shiloh [H7886] also known as the peacemaker. We find these traits exemplified in the High Priest of the Tabernacle and Temple in the OT, especially where once a year on the Day of Atonement, this Priest went into the holiest of all and sacrificed for Israel to cover their sins. Christ fulfilled this with his once and final sacrifice for all mankind, on the cross, [Heb. 2:17]. In the NT with God in Christ in us [Col. 1:27] we dwell in God with God in us through Christ, in true unity, which was not known in Shiloh in the OT, an early resting place for the Ark of the Covenant, symbolic of God’s presence, but is replaced by God’s throne and His actual presence in the greatness of the Mystery in Christ seated at the Father’s right hand with his church. Another key occurrence of the peacemaker is found in Isaiah.

Isa. 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting FatherPrince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.

Jesus in the Road to Emmaus teaching, [Lk. 24:13] reveals himself in all the books of the OT unveiling one of the greatest teachings ever-The Master Key to unfolding God’s Word. The master-titles of Christ in Isa. 9:6, reveal multiple sets of 4 titles, as seen in the Hebrew word “zemach”-branch. This word is used 12 times in the OT, but these four usages delineate the 4D Ministry of the Messiah, Jehovah’s Branch, each set forth in the 4 gospels as seen in the bottom row of the chart above.

The numbers in parenthesis (4->) indicate the Spiritual Administrations in which these Titles are active. [Material above on Isa. 9:6 is from The One God Seminar, J. Nessle]

Some of these titles are found in the Seven periods of Christ’s earthly ministry marked by Audible Words from heaven.

1. Temptation-His Righteousness was proved. [40 days]
2. Evangelist– As the Lamb of God, Chooses his Apostles
3. Pentecost-He officially opens his ministry reading Isa. 61/Luke 4 as an Apostle.
4. High Priest-Mount of Transfiguration; Tishri-30
5. Passover Lamb-Voice from Heaven-only one week before he was crucified.
6. Resurrection-New Body-[40 days] ending his ministry in his physical body.
7. Ascension-[10 days]-Sit thou on my Right Hand…[I go to My Father]

Another key occurrence of “Scepter” in Numbers is found in the context of an added title of Christ as the “Star; [H3556].”

 Num. 24:16-17

16 The utterance of him who hears the words of GodAnd has the knowledge of the Most High, Who sees the vision of the AlmightyWho falls down, with eyes wide open17 I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter
shall rise out of Israel, And [b]batter the brow of Moab, And destroy all the sons of [c]tumult.

The “Star out of Jacob” is another Genesis title of Christ that refers not only to the Celestial Gospel references of the Lawgiver in the Great Sphinx, but also the Biblical Astronomy of the birth of Christ, in the King planet Jupiter.

Stellar Elements of the Great Sphinx

The original teaching of the celestial witness of the signs of the zodiac is encapsulated in the signs Virgo and Leo and preserved in this ancient monument of the Giza plateau, the Great Sphinx. An interesting astronomical truth in support of this lies the fact that the crowned head of Virgo actually bridges about 10 degrees into the sign Leo on the ecliptic. We have already made reference to this in connection with the star Denebola. The star Sarcam in Leo, is a Hebrew word meaning “the joining“, revealing this as the point where the two ends of the Zodiacal circle have their joining. This is borne out in the sign Corvus, the bird of prey devouring Cetus the sea-monster, a decan of Virgo. The bright star in the eye of Corvus the Raven, called Al Chibar in Arabic means “joining together,” referring also to the union of as these two ends of the true zodiac! This also fits with the start of the Hebrew calendar in Tishri, the equivalent of our September-October, the beginning of their civil year when the Sun was clothing Virgo.

The heavens announced Jesus’ arrival with the setting of the star Spica, between the Moon and the setting Sun Clothing Virgo-as Virgo’s branch on September 11th, of 3 BC. This is firmly secured by the fifth axis evident in the Dendera zodiac, in the Egyptian temple of Esneh, subdividing the zodiac in the same way depicted on the ceiling of the Portico of that temple site; between Leo the Lion, and Virgo the woman. This idea is fully developed in The Denderah Zodiac poster, featured in the right margin of this blog. In addition to naming the start and close of the celestial canon, the Great Sphinx mirrors the binding of Scripture together in Genesis
to Revelation, as seen in the Red Thread references to Jesus as the Lion of the tribe of Judah in both Gen. 49:8-10 and Rev. 5:5, the first and last books of the Bible. Another indicator of the central importance of these stellar aspects of the Great Sphinx, is that our recognition of the Celestial Sphinx, pictured below, Virgo and Leo the lion provide the basis for the signs of the triple union of Jupiter-Regulus in Leo, in 3 BC related to Gen. 49:8-10

As we view the celestial context of this first union of Jupiter and Regulus, [Fig. B] we can see the head of Virgo rising above the eastern horizon just below the full body of Leo the Lion on the ecliptic. This is the view of what an observer standing near Palestine facing east would have seen on this date, providing a clear aspect of the astronomical symbolism of the Sphinx as a key marker and monumental prediction of Jesus’ birthday on September 11th. This serves as a monolithic marker to the prophecy provided in Rev. 12:1-5, in the sign of Virgo, further sets this truth.

Also in Genesis 49:22-26, we find the blessings of Jacob on the tribes of Joseph, with references to 2 more Genesis titles of Christ:

Genesis 49:22-26

Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a springwhose branches climb over a wall.[k23 With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. 24 But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed[l] limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacobbecause of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel25 Because of your father’s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty,[m] who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb. 26 Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountainsthan[n] the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Josephon the brow of the prince among[o] his brothers.

Here we see the titles of the Stone [H68] or Rock of Israel, and The Shepherd [H7462].
Key aspects of the Shepherd are found in the 23rd Psalm in the Seven Jehovah Names in Christ and Moses. As Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord is the Provider for Israel in Moses as Manna from Heaven, and in Christ as the bread of life. As Jehovah-Rapha He heals in Moses in the Passover, and in Christ as the light of the world. As Jehovah-Nissi, the protection of God was seen in the Rod of Moses, with Christ as the door of the Sheep.
As Jehovah-Shalom the Lord was Peace for Israel in the Cloud Pillar, while in Christ he is the true way that leads to life. As Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord is righteousness in the Mosaic Law, until Christ who fulfilled the Law. As Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord was Present in Moses’ Tabernacle, and in Christ, he is the true Vine. In Summary, as Jehovah-Raah, Moses was the Shepherd of Israel, while Christ is the Good Shepherd, who embodies all these traits.

The Stone [H680-Eben] or rock refers to a foundation stone, or chief cornerstone placed at the apex of the Great Pyramid completing its architecture, and unifying the corner-stones at its base. [Job 38:6, Ps. 118:22, Matt.21:42, Acts 4:11, Eph.2:20, 1 Pet.2:6-7]
E-ben also represents the Father building His house through His offspring or Son, and how God dwells among His people changes in each of the 7 spiritual Administrations, building towards the Mystery of the Church of the One body in Christ.

Isa. 28:16-17
16 Therefore thus says the Lord GodBehold, I lay in Zion [H68] a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. 17 Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet;
The hail will sweep away the refuge of liesAnd the waters will overflow the hiding place.

It is in the Architecture of the Great Pyramid where we find a special revelation of Christ as the chief cornerstone that fulfills and unifies its structure. Even as these Genesis titles of Christ are also revealed in the Book of Revelation, Jon Nessle has taught, how the 7 Ascendant traits of Christ from [Rev. 5:5-12] correspond to these 7 Genesis titles. Verse 5 shows Jesus as the LionLeo of the tribe of Judah as seen in the head and body of the Sphinx, depicting these Genesis titles of Christ as they are revealed in the book of Revelation.

Rev. 5:5-12

And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven sealsThen I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open [a]and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and [b]to loose its seven seals.”

And I looked, [c]and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

Jesus Christ as the Lamb is described with 7 horns, 7 eyes, 7 spirits, of God. The Shiloh titles relate to our Prayers in Christ’s Name of the specific title as the “Lord of Daily Need;Daily Bread category of 7 aspects of the Lord’s PrayerHe alone is worthy [axios] to manifest [lambano] in practical application all 7 of these dimensions of spiritual power, the 7 Ascendant traits of Christ [13] listed here in Rev. 5.

1. Power; [G#1411-dunamis-unity] Natural, Inherent power both potential and active, signifying all modes of active power. [Matt. 28:18] Jesus has all power delegated to him by the Father in Heaven and Earth. [Eph. 1:21-23]. [seed]

2. Riches;[G4149-ploutos-est.] Wealth in abundance, the fullness of all things Christ has in store for the body of Christ. [Eph. 3:8, Phil. 4:19] The unsearchable riches of Christ! The Believers access these riches on 2 occasions; a. New Birth [Rom. 10:12] b. Rapture [Rev. 3:18, Rom. 15:13, I Cor. 1:4, enriched in utterance and knowledge,
[2 Cor. 8:7-8]-Faith, word, hope, diligence, love, grace.
[stone]

3. Wisdom;[G#4678-Sophia-Spiritual Completion] expert, skill, godly wisdom, full intelligence and mental excellence in the highest and fullest degree. [I Cor. 1:30 this wisdom is a Sonship right, the wisdom from above in James, and the revelation manifestations given by God. “I can of my own self do nothing.” [peace]

4. Strength;[G#2479-ischus-World] health, prevailing strength and evidenced by overcoming deeds Lk. 3:16- JC mightier than John the Baptist. Phil. 4:13-We are infused with God’s power. [I Cor. 15:24] all rule, power and authority. [scepter]

5. Honor;[G#5092-precious valuables, [time-Grace] of great value, preeminent honor, a name above all names. [Js. 5:23]-we honor the Father via the Son. 6. Glory;[G#1391-doxa-Man] manifested power, dignity, praise, worship [Man] [John 13:31-2, 17:1-5] Figure antanaclasis “word clashing;” differing word definitions used together. With=para-beside in the dative case=”glorify me beside Yourself.” What orthodox Trinitarians say was Preexistent Jesus with God, was actually God’s foreknowledge of Jesus at His Right Hand when Lucifer occupied this space in the 1st Heaven & Earth [Shiloh]

7. Blessing;[G#2129-eulogiaSpiritual perfection] Good Word or action from God. Jesus did many Praiseworthy acts but we are worshipping him as God for none of them. Praise=laud, as his victorious entry into Jerusalem on “Palm Sunday,” they proclaimedHosanna in the highest.” All Evangelism is praising Jesus for his accomplishments and godly work. Jesus as the Evangelist is one of his sevenfold ministries he fulfilled during the Acceptable Year of the Lord, [Lk. 4:16-19, Gen. 49:25-26 ]. [Star]

Through the reality of the redemptive works of Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd, man’s redemption is complete. Access to the way of the tree of life has been fully restored with many more benefits added in Christ, the true way that leads to life. Man again has full access to his loving Heavenly Father fulfilling God’s purposes. As we continue to look forward to the fullness of our redemption in the Hope of Christ’s return, we rejoice in our immediate and ultimate victory in Eternal Glory!

God Bless!
