Biblical Astronomy of the Seven Genesis Titles of Christ

Biblical Astronomy of the Seven Genesis Titles of Christ

There is a phrase in Bible Research that says; “Genesis is the book of Revelation concealed, and Revelation is the Book of Genesis revealed.” This month’s blog illustrates this truth in a number of interesting and enlightening ways. The impetus for this teaching came from one of Jon Nessle’s teachings where he mentioned “Seven Penteuech Titles of Christ” that he saw in a note from E.W. Bullinger”s Companion Bible, including the Seed, Star, Shiloh, Stone/Rock,
Shepherd, Scepter and Lawgiver.

In Genesis 3 we have the first prophecy of the Promised Seed [zera-2233] in the Bible.

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattleAnd more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Contained in this initial prophecy of the Promised Seed, are also the first of seven Genesis titles pertaining to Christ. Surely the Promised Seed is the key to all human generations as Christ is Lord and Savior who provides the way of access back to God, which was lost in the serpent’s temptation of Eve. As the tempter was able to spread the seeds of destruction to all mankind by tempting Eve to break God’s Command, causing the loss of man’s spiritual link with the Heavenly Father, so the need for mankind’s Reedemer-Jesus Christ became a reality. But let us not forget the ruling principle of the seed at the basis of all the Kingdoms of Life, as seen in Genesis 1.

11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seedand the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

Much more than Maverick’s “need for speed” in the movie “Topgun,” mankind has a much bigger “need for seed” and the redemption only available in the perfect seed, Jesus Christ. The concept of this Genesis title is developed further in the line of Abraham in Genesis 15:2-7;

But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing[b]go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one[c] born in my house is my heir!”

And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants [seed] be.” And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Then He said to him, “am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”

In verse 5 above, God draws a direct comparison for Abraham between his seed and the stars of the celestial gospel.

The word for “seed” here in God’s promise to Abraham is (H2233zera), which has an interesting history of usage in both sacred and profane writings. In the Chaldean star religion, which had such a strong corrupting influence throughout the ancient world, he who was this “great seed” was also the Sun incarnate. Hislop tells us that:

“Symbolically the emblem for the sun was a circle, in reference to the sun’s ecliptical path.” 1 The true great seed prophetically is Jesus Christ, the promised redeemer of mankind referred to in Jeremiah 33.

Jer. 33:20-22

20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season21Then may also My covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

God inspires Jeremiah to make an inseparable connection between His “covenant of the dayand My covenant of the night,” and His “covenant with the seed of David my servant.” Why? One reason is the heavens tell of God’s Covenant with the seed of David with precision, corresponding with the regular observance of their Sabbatical and Jubilee years, in harmony with the Soli-lunar calendar of Israel. Jesus Christ the embodiment of the seed of David, came to fulfill the Scripture, and began his ministry in the Sabbatical Year of 27-28 AD, as part of the OT Hebrew Jubilee cycle. All 12 signs of the mazzaroth with each decan, tell a chapter of the struggle between the seed of the woman versus the serpent’s seed, as prophesied by God in Genesis 3:15. The Promised Seed Jesus Christ is the master key to unlocking the secrets of both the Celestial Gospel and the Scriptures, not to mention true Archaeo-Astronomy.

Hislop’s comments are relevant in that; “the hieroglyphical relation between zero, the circle, and zero, the seed, was easily established.”2 Hislop gives a nod to the correlation between The Promised Seed, in light of the mathematical implications of zero, and the geometric significance of the circle, and that these relations go far beyond their mere hieroglyphical associations. This also relates to how Christ as the Shepherd of Psalm 23 embodies the Jehovah-Names of God, as we will see below.

In Genesis 17:1-9 we find more on Abraham’s story;

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am
[a]Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of [b]many nations. No longer shall your name be called [c]Abram, but your name shall be [d]Abraham; for I have made you a father of [e]many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants [seed] after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in[f] which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an ever-lasting possession; and I will be their God.” And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

The Faith of Abraham is the undeniable foundation of Christian faith today. [Rom. 4]

Figuratively, the Sun as a symbol of the promised seedJesus Christ, weaves his way through the circular path of the ecliptic and the 12 houses of the Hebrew Mazzaroth, showing us the basic relationship between God’s earthly seed and His heavenly seed.

Gen. 22:17-18

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My voice. [Num. 24:7]

The union of the Alpha-Omega signs of Leo the lion, with the woman Virgo in the female-headed Great Sphinx also depict the life of Jesus, from birth, starting in the Star-set of Spica on September 11th, 3 BC. This is depicted in Gen. 49:9 as his human maturation from lion’s whelp, where his prey is provided for him, to stalking his own prey, unto his ultimate victory casting down and rending the dragon. This is the three-fold theme that ties directly to the celestial wonders of Revelation 12, linking God’s Word together with His stellar revelation. We find this set for us at the canonical start and close of both the Biblical and stellar gospels, forming a parallel testimony of the Scriptures with the stars. We have seen powerful specific examples of this in the celestial triple coronation ceremony of the three unions of Jupiter and Regulus in Leo, marking the birth of Christ. We even see the influence of this theme surviving in the famed mythology of the “Riddle of the Sphinx.” In the Greek mythology surrounding the female-headed Sphinx, she asks Oedipus the riddle; What is the animal which goes on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon and three legs at night?

The Sphinx and Oedipus

Image may contain: one or more people

His reply is Man, crawling as an infant, walking erect in manhood and in old age with a staff. 3
This mirrors the celestial symbolism of the Jupiter-Regulus triple unions seen in Genesis 49:9 depicting the growth cycle of the lion from whelp, to adult lion, to the aged lion at rest. This is another example of the corrupting influence of myth that still retains elements of the truth it hides. This triple Conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus in Leo marking the birth of Christ, also exemplifies the narrative of the celestial gospel, the great stellar witness of the ages which embodies God’s first revelation to the Patriarchs, beginning with Adam. As the star names of the 12 Constellations of the zodiac along with each of their decans relate aspects of the nature, sufferings and glory of the Promised Seed, so this witness is summarized in the first and last zodiacal signs that compromise the Great Sphinx. All of this is established by the witness of Scripture, as we’ve seen in Gen. 49:8-10, for example among many others, setting the truth in stone.

In Genesis 49 we find important Messianic prophecies relating to Jesus Christ in context of Jacob’s blessings of his 12 sons, and the Genesis titles of ChristGen. 49:8-10 delineates God’s promises for the tribe of Judah;

Judah,[b] your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to youYou are a lion’s cub, Judahyou return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies downlike a lioness—who dares to rouse him?
10 The scepter will not depart from Judahnor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,[c]
until [Shiloh] he to whom it belongs[d] shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

Verse 10 refers to the scepter and the “ruler’s staff” also translated as “Lawgiver” in the KJV, and Shiloh, all three of which are Genesis titles of Christ. As this cluster of Genesis Christ titles is an eye-opener, we should pay extra attention to the witness of Scripture in Genesis 49.

The “Lawgiver” [H2710] is a key Christ title, as one who decrees, ordains and inscribes laws. 4
As Proverbs 8 extolls the virtues of godly wisdom, we learn that it is by wisdom that Kings and Princes decree justice, [8:15]. A key aspect of the Lawgiver is found in Job, in reference to the Great Sphinx which embodies the decrees of God’s Word written in the stars for the Biblical Patriarchs.

Job 19:23-25
Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed in a book! [24] That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock forever! [25] For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

These verses are indicative not only of Job’s knowledge of his coming redeemer, but also of his faith that this redeemer would stand at a future latter day upon the earth. This knowledge directly corresponds both, in a witness that was engraved in the rock forever, remaining unto our day, and the witnesses of the celestial and written gospels. The word “For,” beginning verse 25, depicts the purpose of his words along with a monumental witness in stone, whose longevity has lasted into our day, as a witness to the redeemer that Job foresaw so long ago. Thus Job’s reference, in this majestic declaration of his redeemer, graven in rock forever, is easily associated with this enduring memorial on the Giza plateau, analogous to the prophecy written in the stars in Leo and Virgo. In the only Patriarchal book of the Bible, Job’s words certainly stand out as a reference to the witness of the stars and in stone, the witness God provided to the Biblical Patriarchs in the Bible’s first canonical book written by Job.

The Great Sphinx

ancient egypt

In all likelihood, a later derivation of the word “sphinx” is found in the Egyptian “shesep ankh,” meaning a living image. 5 However, instead of the living idol images of gods or pharaohs, our proposal is that the Great Sphinx was originally intended as an oracle of the promised seed and the Messiah, with its living aspects included in the changing astronomy surrounding the signs of Virgo and Leo. Both Lockyer and Rolleston state, the Great Sphinx symbolizes the Summer
Solstice 4000 years before Christ, sealed by the union of Virgo and Leo. Rolleston notes that this junction of Virgo and Leo is marked by the star Denebola, which is a name meaning “the Lord or Judge who comes quickly,” 6 thus representing the living image, of the Lord Jesus Christ coming in judgment. As Denebola is the star marking the union of Virgo and Leo, the alpha and omega signs of the Biblical zodiac, this prophetic message of the coming Messiah has endured as the largest, and most famous sculpture on the planet.

To further cement the link between the Great Sphinx and the Scriptures, let’s take a look at Psalm 19:

Psalm 19:1-5

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The word “line” in verse 4 refers to the ecliptic as the path in the Sun’s Tabernacle, at the end of the verse. These 12 houses or “Tabernacles of the Sun” refer to the 12 signs of the zodiac
and the 12 tribes of Israel, the Bride of the Bridegroom. Here, the Bible compares the Sun to a Bridegroom in verse 5, running a race-course through the circuit of heaven, the 12 signs of the ecliptic and their decans. The Great Sphinx elucidates the details of the 19th Psalm because it unifies these Tabernacles of the Sun, first with Virgo, the woman, the Bride-Israel and last with Leo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Thus, all the tribes are presented to the Lord in preparation for the marriage supper of the Lamb, preserved in a great stone monument for the ages. As this magnificent monolith witnesses to the Astronomy of the Biblical Patriarchs, the Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid preserved the principles of Biblical Astronomy
timelessly. The witness of Scripture continues in the Book of Job, which contains more overt astronomical references, with ancient Biblical star names than any other book in the Bible.

Job 38:31-33
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? [32] Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? [33] Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? Canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

From a Biblical view the Gospel in the Stars is central to the Book of Job, since this was where God gave the Patriarchs the stellar witness and celestial narrative of the promised redeemer of man. Job’s divine writings are the only Scripture recorded, that is addressed to the Patriarchal Age. When we consider the Hebrew word “mazzaroth,” we find a very early reference to the 12 signs of the zodiac, occurring only in Job. There are other later references to these 12 signs of the ecliptic in Scripture, but this gives us more evidence of the antiquity of this knowledge of the entire zodiac, in the context of the Biblical Patriarchs. When Job spoke these words however, the Bible, or even the Pentateuch was not written yet by Moses the lawgiver. Thus, we see in verse 23, Job’s desire that his book would be part of the sacred written oracles that would correspond to this bedrock truth in the Great Sphinx, engraved in stone as a testimony to his coming redeemer.

The word “graven” *H2710 [chaqaq] in Job 19:24 means: to cut, carve, hew, square, quarry, mason or engrave. 6 This is the same word translated as “lawgiver” in Gen. 49:10, and is the same root for the word “ordinances” in Job 38:33, in the sense that the ordinances or laws of God and nature, were many times engraved in stone, or carved in a tablet. As we say God’s Word is set in stone. An important point to realize regarding this word [chaqaq] is that it is translated as “Lawgiver” in Deut. 33:21. This relates to another ancient Egyptian name of the SphinxBel-hit, which also means the “Lord who cometh.” Deuteronomy 33, records the Song of Moses, and the fifth chapter of Judges contains the Song of Deborah, both of which list the Tribes of Israel. Another occurrence of “Lawgiver” is seen below in Genesis 49, also a listing of the Tribes of Israel, all of which refer to the Biblical zodiac, containing celestial and Scriptural links to each of the tribes. These Biblical lists of the 12 tribes of Israel are refined in the discussion of the breastplate of Israel’s High Priest, which models its zodiacal symbolism. Is there a more revealing context for this important element of the Great Sphinx to appear in?

Gen 49:10
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. [KJV]

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah“- “sceptre” is [H7626 shebet] 7 in the Hebrew, the same word used in Numbers 24:17; referring to the “star [H3556-kowkab] 8 out of Jacob and sceptre out of Israel.” This star out of Jacob is a clear reference to the planet
Jupiter-the King planet and the key role its triple union with Regulus played in the astronomy of the birth of Christ, in 3 BC.

lawgiver from between his feet“- Regulus the king star and the brightest star in Leo.  “The Arabic word “regel” means “foot” and is identical in meaning to the Aramaic word “regla”
and the Hebrew word “regel” tying in with “from between his feet” above. In this one verse the Lion of JudahLeo, intertwines with the lawgiver coming from between his feet, symbolizing the king star Regulus [see Psalm 60:7]. 9 This gives a clear Biblical picture of the stellar elements of the Jupiter-Regulus triple union in Leo the lion of the tribe of Judah, seen in the three stages of the lion’s growth in Genesis 49:9!

Lawgiver“- *H2710 [chaqaq10 meaning; to cut or engrave, inscribe, establish, ordain, to decree, to be a leader, a ruler, a lawgiver; a scepter. It occurs 19 times in the Hebrew O.T. The primary meaning is “writing or drawing in the sense of etching,” [Isa. 30:8; in a book] The root can mean to enact a decree [In Prov. 8:15 a governor decreeing justice with wisdom.] This word [chaqaq] attests to the power of the coordinated decrees of God’s Word first written in the stars, then later in stone and in the Scriptures, providing a precedent for the idea of all language being rooted in the celestial alphabet, penned by the finger of God. [Ex. 32:13-16].

Finally the Word (logos) was made flesh in Jesus Christ, and God’s Word incarnate dwelt with us. These manifold witnesses to God’s omnipotent glory and Grace, all incorporate the awesome beauty and mathematical Symmetry that unveil the accuracy of all His means of divine revelation, embodied in the spoken and written word, in the stars in stone and finally in the flesh. As the Red Thread and master key to the interpretation of God’s Word, Jesus is the lawgiver, after the form of Moses, the one decreeing righteous judgment as the embodiment of the Word made flesh.

Jer. 31:35-36
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

In Jer. 31:35 the root of this word [chaqaq] is used of the light of the celestial ordinances of the Sun by day, and the Moon and stars by night, [Gen.1:16-18]. The ordinances of God’s covenant with the seed of Abraham were written with the finger of God in the rock of His holy mount,  and given to Moses the lawgiver, [Ex. 24:12, 31:18, 32:16]. This establishes the stone witness of the Sphinx, and verifies the relation between God’s celestial witness and His word written in Scripture [Ps. 19]. It is a known historical and archaeological fact that the Great Sphinx was carved out of a rock formation on the Giza plateau, which is consistent with the testimony of God’s Word in Job 19:23, where the word “rock” [*H6697] means “cliff, sharp rock compressed,
or boulder.” We can see the intimate link between God’s stellar witness of His ordinances fulfilled in His covenant with the seed of Israel in verse 36 above. This promised seed was consummated in the Lord Jesus ChristJeremiah‘s point is that the celestial witness of God’s Covenant with Day and Night [Jer. 33:20-26], has not ceased and no one is able to halt these celestial cycles and seasons set in motion by the Creator, thus the surety of the return of His Promised Seed for his people is set in the firmament, in stone and embodied in the Man Christ Jesus!

The prominent stellar aspects of the Great Sphinx, are witnessed in the first of the three unions of Jupiter and Regulus, on 9-14-3 BC. This exhibits not only the link between the ordinances of the sun and stars in Jer. 31:35, 33:25, specifically in Genesis 49:8-10, in united testimony with the stellar wonders spoken of in Revelation 12, but also the monolithic witness of the Great Sphinx to the Lawgiver of the Ages.

Thus, the Great Sphinx stands as Giza’s defiant sentinel, having weathered hundreds of centuries as a witness and messenger of both the canon of the celestial scroll of God’s Word engraved in the heavens and a prophecy of the birth of the Son of God. Always facing east, the Great Sphinx anticipates the truth of the Son-rise of the ages, whose light is the long-awaited dawning of a new day for all Mankind. This is a theme that arises again in relation to The Celestial Symbolism of the Tabernacle and Temple of Israel. When viewed in context with the witness of the Great Sphinx, this sign on 9-14-3 BC takes on added meaning, indicated in the Sphinx’ two basic elements. These two elements are detailed in the movement of the King planet Jupiter entering Leo, the lion-body of the Great Sphinx, while the Sun was in Virgo, the female head of the Sphinx. As the stars are allowed to speak in harmony with this witness in stone, the solitary guardian of the Giza plateau anticipates the dawning of a new day for mankind, predicting the birth of Spica, Virgo’s promised seed. Thus, the Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid stand, as oracles, monumental prophets of both the Alpha and Omega, the first and second advents of Jesus Christ, revealing both his sufferings and glory. These stellar aspects of the Sphinx, are reinforced by the picture of the eastern horizon during the early morning hours of September 14th, at the time of the first Jupiter-Regulus union. This distinct star picture of the Head of the woman Virgo rising above the horizon, with the body of the lion above, beginning the first of three Jupiter-Regulus unions, is definitive evidence for our thesis. It is key to realize that the signs of the Lord’s birth occured in Virgo, the alpha sign of the Biblical zodiac, but the signs of his return will occur in the omega sign-Leo, both including signs of the Celestial Sphinx. This is a clear example of the importance of the Great Sphinx as a monumental marker of the advent of God’s only begotten Son.

The Scepter in the context of the Lion of Judah refers to the King’s Scepter as the rod and staff or symbol of the King’s authority and power, as seen in the Psalms.

Psalm 45:2-7

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a [c]ready writer. You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.[d]Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majestyAnd in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humilityand righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under You.

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdomYou love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

Isaiah 11 provides a great sense of how the Messiah employs and embodies the King’s Scepter; These verses represent a summary of the OT manifestations paired according to this biblical structure of the spirit [H7307 ruach] of Jehovah- God in relationship to His creation. The repetition of “Spiritat the start of these 7 OT categories is a figure of speech- anaphora, while the ”ands” pairing these manifestations are also the figure “polysyndeton,” emphasizing each category of these spiritual manifestations.

Isa. 11:1-5

There shall come forth a [a]Rod from the [b]stem of JesseAnd a Branch shall [c]grow out of his rootsThe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon HimThe Spirit of wisdom and understandingThe Spirit of counsel and mightThe Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

His delight is in the fear of the LordAnd He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His earsBut with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loinsAnd faithfulness the belt of His waist.

The 3rd Genesis title of Genesis 49:10 is Shiloh [H7886] also known as the peacemaker. We find these traits exemplified in the High Priest of the Tabernacle and Temple in the OT, especially where once a year on the Day of Atonement, this Priest went into the holiest of all and sacrificed for Israel to cover their sins. Christ fulfilled this with his once and final sacrifice for all mankind, on the cross, [Heb. 2:17]. In the NT with God in Christ in us [Col. 1:27] we dwell in God with God in us through Christ, in true unity, which was not known in Shiloh in the OT, an early resting place for the Ark of the Covenant, symbolic of God’s presence, but is replaced by God’s throne and His actual presence in the greatness of the Mystery in Christ seated at the Father’s right hand with his church. Another key occurrence of the peacemaker is found in Isaiah.

Isa. 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting FatherPrince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.

Jesus in the Road to Emmaus teaching, [Lk. 24:13] reveals himself in all the books of the OT unveiling one of the greatest teachings ever-The Master Key to unfolding God’s Word. The master-titles of Christ in Isa. 9:6, reveal multiple sets of 4 titles, as seen in the Hebrew word “zemach”-branch. This word is used 12 times in the OT, but these four usages delineate the 4D Ministry of the Messiah, Jehovah’s Branch, each set forth in the 4 gospels as seen in the bottom row of the chart above.

The numbers in parenthesis (4->) indicate the Spiritual Administrations in which these Titles are active. [Material above on Isa. 9:6 is from The One God Seminar, J. Nessle]

Some of these titles are found in the Seven periods of Christ’s earthly ministry marked by Audible Words from heaven.

1. Temptation-His Righteousness was proved. [40 days]

Another key occurrence of “Scepter” in Numbers is found in the context of an added title of Christ as the “Star; [H3556].”

 Num. 24:16-17

16 The utterance of him who hears the words of GodAnd has the knowledge of the Most High, Who sees the vision of the AlmightyWho falls down, with eyes wide open17 I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter
shall rise out of Israel, And [b]batter the brow of Moab, And destroy all the sons of [c]tumult.

The “Star out of Jacob” is another Genesis title of Christ that refers not only to the Celestial Gospel references of the Lawgiver in the Great Sphinx, but also the Biblical Astronomy of the birth of Christ, in the King planet Jupiter.

Stellar Elements of the Great Sphinx

The original teaching of the celestial witness of the signs of the zodiac is encapsulated in the signs Virgo and Leo and preserved in this ancient monument of the Giza plateau, the Great Sphinx. An interesting astronomical truth in support of this lies the fact that the crowned head of Virgo actually bridges about 10 degrees into the sign Leo on the ecliptic. We have already made reference to this in connection with the star Denebola. The star Sarcam in Leo, is a Hebrew word meaning “the joining“, revealing this as the point where the two ends of the Zodiacal circle have their joining. This is borne out in the sign Corvus, the bird of prey devouring Cetus the sea-monster, a decan of Virgo. The bright star in the eye of Corvus the Raven, called Al Chibar in Arabic means “joining together,” referring also to the union of as these two ends of the true zodiac! This also fits with the start of the Hebrew calendar in Tishri, the equivalent of our September-October, the beginning of their civil year when the Sun was clothing Virgo.

The heavens announced Jesus’ arrival with the setting of the star Spica, between the Moon and the setting Sun Clothing Virgo-as Virgo’s branch on September 11th, of 3 BC. This is firmly secured by the fifth axis evident in the Dendera zodiac, in the Egyptian temple of Esneh, subdividing the zodiac in the same way depicted on the ceiling of the Portico of that temple site; between Leo the Lion, and Virgo the woman. This idea is fully developed in The Denderah Zodiac poster, featured in the right margin of this blog. In addition to naming the start and close of the celestial canon, the Great Sphinx mirrors the binding of Scripture together in Genesis
to Revelation, as seen in the Red Thread references to Jesus as the Lion of the tribe of Judah in both Gen. 49:8-10 and Rev. 5:5, the first and last books of the Bible. Another indicator of the central importance of these stellar aspects of the Great Sphinx, is that our recognition of the Celestial Sphinx, pictured below, Virgo and Leo the lion provide the basis for the signs of the triple union of Jupiter-Regulus in Leo, in 3 BC related to Gen. 49:8-10

As we view the celestial context of this first union of Jupiter and Regulus, [Fig. B] we can see the head of Virgo rising above the eastern horizon just below the full body of Leo the Lion on the ecliptic. This is the view of what an observer standing near Palestine facing east would have seen on this date, providing a clear aspect of the astronomical symbolism of the Sphinx as a key marker and monumental prediction of Jesus’ birthday on September 11th. This serves as a monolithic marker to the prophecy provided in Rev. 12:1-5, in the sign of Virgo, further sets this truth.

Also in Genesis 49:22-26, we find the blessings of Jacob on the tribes of Joseph, with references to 2 more Genesis titles of Christ:

Genesis 49:22-26

Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a springwhose branches climb over a wall.[k23 With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. 24 But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed[l] limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacobbecause of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel25 Because of your father’s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty,[m] who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb. 26 Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountainsthan[n] the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Josephon the brow of the prince among[o] his brothers.

Here we see the titles of the Stone [H68] or Rock of Israel, and The Shepherd [H7462].
Key aspects of the Shepherd are found in the 23rd Psalm in the Seven Jehovah Names in Christ and Moses. As Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord is the Provider for Israel in Moses as Manna from Heaven, and in Christ as the bread of life. As Jehovah-Rapha He heals in Moses in the Passover, and in Christ as the light of the world. As Jehovah-Nissi, the protection of God was seen in the Rod of Moses, with Christ as the door of the Sheep.
As Jehovah-Shalom the Lord was Peace for Israel in the Cloud Pillar, while in Christ he is the true way that leads to life. As Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord is righteousness in the Mosaic Law, until Christ who fulfilled the Law. As Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord was Present in Moses’ Tabernacle, and in Christ, he is the true Vine. In Summary, as Jehovah-Raah, Moses was the Shepherd of Israel, while Christ is the Good Shepherd, who embodies all these traits.

The Stone [H680-Eben] or rock refers to a foundation stone, or chief cornerstone placed at the apex of the Great Pyramid completing its architecture, and unifying the corner-stones at its base. [Job 38:6, Ps. 118:22, Matt.21:42, Acts 4:11, Eph.2:20, 1 Pet.2:6-7]
E-ben also represents the Father building His house through His offspring or Son, and how God dwells among His people changes in each of the 7 spiritual Administrations, building towards the Mystery of the Church of the One body in Christ.

Isa. 28:16-17
16 Therefore thus says the Lord GodBehold, I lay in Zion [H68] a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. 17 Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet;
The hail will sweep away the refuge of liesAnd the waters will overflow the hiding place.

It is in the Architecture of the Great Pyramid where we find a special revelation of Christ as the chief cornerstone that fulfills and unifies its structure. Even as these Genesis titles of Christ are also revealed in the Book of Revelation, Jon Nessle has taught, how the 7 Ascendant traits of Christ from [Rev. 5:5-12] correspond to these 7 Genesis titles. Verse 5 shows Jesus as the LionLeo of the tribe of Judah as seen in the head and body of the Sphinx, depicting these Genesis titles of Christ as they are revealed in the book of Revelation.

Rev. 5:5-12

And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven sealsThen I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open [a]and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and [b]to loose its seven seals.”

And I looked, [c]and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

Jesus Christ as the Lamb is described with 7 horns, 7 eyes, 7 spirits, of God. The Shiloh titles relate to our Prayers in Christ’s Name of the specific title as the “Lord of Daily Need;Daily Bread category of 7 aspects of the Lord’s PrayerHe alone is worthy [axios] to manifest [lambano] in practical application all 7 of these dimensions of spiritual power, the 7 Ascendant traits of Christ [13] listed here in Rev. 5.

1. Power; [G#1411-dunamis-unity] Natural, Inherent power both potential and active, signifying all modes of active power. [Matt. 28:18] Jesus has all power delegated to him by the Father in Heaven and Earth. [Eph. 1:21-23]. [seed]

2. Riches;[G4149-ploutos-est.] Wealth in abundance, the fullness of all things Christ has in store for the body of Christ. [Eph. 3:8, Phil. 4:19] The unsearchable riches of Christ! The Believers access these riches on 2 occasions; a. New Birth [Rom. 10:12] b. Rapture [Rev. 3:18, Rom. 15:13, I Cor. 1:4, enriched in utterance and knowledge,
[2 Cor. 8:7-8]-Faith, word, hope, diligence, love, grace.
[stone]

3. Wisdom;[G#4678-Sophia-Spiritual Completion] expert, skill, godly wisdom, full intelligence and mental excellence in the highest and fullest degree. [I Cor. 1:30 this wisdom is a Sonship right, the wisdom from above in James, and the revelation manifestations given by God. “I can of my own self do nothing.” [peace]

4. Strength;[G#2479-ischus-World] health, prevailing strength and evidenced by overcoming deeds Lk. 3:16- JC mightier than John the Baptist. Phil. 4:13-We are infused with God’s power. [I Cor. 15:24] all rule, power and authority. [scepter]

5. Honor;[G#5092-precious valuables, [time-Grace] of great value, preeminent honor, a name above all names. [Js. 5:23]-we honor the Father via the Son. [Phil. 2:9-11] Atheism is a temporary condition because every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that JC is Lord. When they bow, they can’t stand against us. [Shepherd]

6. Glory;[G#1391-doxa-Man] manifested power, dignity, praise, worship [Man] [John 13:31-2, 17:1-5] Figure antanaclasis “word clashing;” differing word definitions used together. With=para-beside in the dative case=”glorify me beside Yourself.” What orthodox Trinitarians say was Preexistent Jesus with God, was actually God’s foreknowledge of Jesus at His Right Hand when Lucifer occupied this space in the 1st Heaven & Earth [Shiloh]

7. Blessing;[G#2129-eulogiaSpiritual perfection] Good Word or action from God. Jesus did many Praiseworthy acts but we are worshipping him as God for none of them. Praise=laud, as his victorious entry into Jerusalem on “Palm Sunday,” they proclaimedHosanna in the highest.” All Evangelism is praising Jesus for his accomplishments and godly work. Jesus as the Evangelist is one of his sevenfold ministries he fulfilled during the Acceptable Year of the Lord, [Lk. 4:16-19, Gen. 49:25-26 ]. [Star]

Through the reality of the redemptive works of Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd, man’s redemption is complete. Access to the way of the tree of life has been fully restored with many more benefits added in Christ, the true way that leads to life. Man again has full access to his loving Heavenly Father fulfilling God’s purposes. As we continue to look forward to the fullness of our redemption in the Hope of Christ’s return, we rejoice in our immediate and ultimate victory in Eternal Glory!

God Bless!

My first interest in Biblical Astronomy was sparked during the study of the celestial signs surrounding the Birth of Christ in the late 70's and early 80's. This grew into a greater interest in Astronomy, resulting in numerous studies, clubs and activities as an amateur astronomer. Starting around 2003 I began working on the Try-God website, as a venue to publish my various articles and studies in Biblical Astronomy, which in the last 10 years, has garnered interest from an audience around the globe. With renewed effort and energy, we are expanding on our initial efforts with the website, for a more effective outreach to our growing audience.
