The Biblical Astronomy of the 10-14-2023 “Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse.”

We had an exciting astronomy event this past weekend folks, with a most rare and prominent occasion- an Annular Solar Eclipse. I saw this “Ring of fire” eclipse over my house in Nevada-Saturday morning @ about 9:30 with 80-85% coverage of the Sun. What a glorious sight! But what does it mean? This was not just any old eclipse, it is a follow-up to only the 2nd cross-country eclipse ever recorded to cross the entirety of the continental United States. The first installment of this later Eclipse took place in 2017, which we recognized in our June blog of 2017, on August 21stTotal Solar Eclipse. In that blog, I recalled the incident in the Bible where, Jesus told us “there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon and in the stars,” prior to His return, causing many to wonder at what this huge “X” of solar eclipses across the U.S. might mean. Some believe this 3 eclipse series, visiting the shores of United States in 2017 and 2023-24, could initiate certain signs of the end-times, marking a 7-year period of tribulation spoken of in the Book of Revelation. Just to be clear, I’m not saying that, but this does not mean these celestial signs are not related to unique events of this nature, especially in light of the lunar cycle that framed these events starting in 2014.
This blog will clear up some of the confusion surrounding these events, for example if these signs Do relate to the 7-year tribulation, why does the period between these eclipses fall just short of seven calendar years? This blog will include elements of a reprinted article, explaining why astronomical prophecies in the Bible, especially involving eclipses may not refer only to calendar years.

This study is not designed to be an exhaustive view of all eclipses within the 2020 decade, but focuses on a period starting with the Blood Moon Tetrads of the formation of the nation-state of Israel, following to include the Blood Moon Tetrads of 2014/2015, and their Metonic Partner Blood Moon Tetrads of 2033/ 2034. The North Pole Spring Equinox Eclipse of 3-20-2015 also has its counter-part in the 3-20-2034 Great Eclipse, on the Equinox exactly 19-years later. This Metonic 19-year period is bracketed by Blood Moon Tetrads & Equinox Eclipses, holding some of the most notable eclipses in history, whose shadow paths out-line the conflicts and actions of key ancient and modern human empires.

As we approach the 2000-year anniversary of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, This central event in all human history certainly is the focus of celestial history even as it is in Scripture. In the pre-ponderance of Biblical, historical and chronological evidence resulting from decades of Biblical research and teaching, April 28th, 28 AD is not only the most likely candidate for the date of Christ’s crucifixion, it is the strongest and most well supported option that fits the accuracy of Biblical timelines on this subject. This is not only during the time Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, but also based on calculations of Herod’s death eclipse in January, 1 BC, not 4BC. We also include the Bible guideline of Jesus at 30 years old, when according to Judean law, he was qualified as an adult, able to carry out his ministry in the 1-year [not 3] called the “acceptable year [singular] of the Lord,” according to Bible prophecy, [Isa. 61:1-2]. This is the text that Jesus quoted when He taught in the Synagogue [Luke 4:18-19], but he did not quote the entire text, stopping mid-verse 2 because “the day of vengeance of our God,” is and remains still future, in reference to God’s wrath in the day of judgment, and was not part of Christ’s ministry at that time.

As we view Luni-Solar eclipse cycles, we begin with the 346.62 day eclipse year, wherein the moon, earth and sun are realigned in the same lunar node on the ecliptic. This involves the coordination of three different kinds of years:

Solar Year: The Earth’s orbital cycle around the sun. 365.242 days
Lunar Year: The Moon’s cycle to complete 12 orbits of the Earth. 354.3 days
Draconic Year: when the earth, moon and sun align at a Lunar node on the  ecliptic. 346.6 days

We should not focus on any one of these types of years, but look at coordinating all three. When these 3 yearly cycles align it forms a pattern whereby we can predict eclipses, most clearly evident in the 19-year [6940+/- day] Metonic cycle.

Thus, eclipses generally repeat on about the same day of the year every 19 years. Eclipses are more easily predicted via the Saros cycle of 223 lunar months, or about 18 years and 11 days, which is also 19 eclipse years.

As the Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth spun the Sun, Moon and Stars in their cycles according to His perfect and Omniscient timing, we can gain an understanding of His order of Creation, and set our lives in correspondent order with the Father of Lights. [Gen. 1:14-19]

These Solar eclipses could serve as a warning of impending judgments, since the crossing point of these eclipses is very near to the New Madrid fault zone. This  fault zone is six times larger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. Back in 1811 and 1812, a series of very devastating earthquakes along the New Madrid fault zone opened some deep fissures in the ground, caused the Mississippi River to run backwards in some places, and were reportedly felt as far away as Washington D.C. and Boston. As the strongest earthquakes ever recorded east of the Rocky Mountains, the heart of this “X” falls not only closest to the eclipse’ place of longest duration of totality, but also precisely in the area where we would expect such an earthquake. This does not mean these three solar eclipses are predicting an earthquake event, but it may serve as a warning for the U.S. to repent and turn to God, reminding us the Day of Christ’s crucifixion darkness was accompanied by a great earthquake.

As we review the context of the total solar eclipse on August 21st, 2017–the 2nd Pan-American Eclipse across the US, we find the following dates, shown with the Regulus unions in Leo, and the Jupiter-Venus conjunctions in Virgo in 2016-2017, as signs of the Celestial Sphinx:

The two brightest planets –Venus and Jupiter –teamed up to provide the closest planetary conjunction of 2014, which has been the closest Venus-Jupiter union during the six Lunar Eclipses of 2014-2016, until August 27, 2016, when Jupiter entered Virgo eventually to be “birthed” in 2017. This Venus-Jupiter union on August 27th, saw these two planets three times closer than during their 2015 union when they were separated by only 1/3 of a degree.
This comparison of celestial alignments within the Lunar Eclipse Sextet from 2014-2016 with the Total Solar eclipse of August 21st, 2017 shows a series of solar and lunar eclipses on sacred feasts of the Hebrew Calendar. This high-lights the importance of the timing of the eclipse on 21st August 2017 relating to Elul 1, marking a 40-day Season of Repentance to Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. It also brings to light the spiritual nature of the recent invasion of Israel by Hamas, behind the Palestinian Terrorists who brutally slayed women, children and civilians on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. We need a recognition of the true source of Hamas’ hatred for Israel, its ancient roots exposed from Scripture to reveal the enemies of the true God, and their seething bloodlust against the race of His only begotten Son-Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as found in [Genesis 3:15, 49:8-10]. As we investigate the roots of “Hamas,” this word is the same Hebrew Word that means “violence.” It is found in Strong’s Concordance [H2555-Chamac]1 with its 1st usage found in Gen. 6:11; where the pre-flood earth was corrupt and filled with violence. In v. 12 it says “All flesh had corrupted [H7843] its way upon the earth. All flesh here is not all without exception, as Noah and his family were saved in the Ark. Also, v. 13 repeats the idea of v. 11, establishing the truth that the earth was filled with violence; [H2555-Chamac], through them-those who had corrupted themselves, via this violence-prompting God’s destruction of all the evil ones via the great flood of Noah. The kind of violence linked to “hamas,” is not a garden variety of damage inflicted upon humanity. Strong’s says its vehement violence inflicted to oppress. It is extreme wickedness and cruel violence, so rampant in those days, God had to wipe it off the map, and start over with the human race-with Noah. Thus, God executed the violent ones on the earth, those who had given themselves over to the devil spirit of violence that had so ingrained itself in the lives of that evil generation, because God hates those wicked ones that love this kind of brutal violence; [Ps. 11:5-6]. They are those who covenant by eating the bread of wickedness & drink the wine of violence, [Prov. 4:17], as the soul of this kind of transgressor feeds on violence, [Prov. 13: 2, Isa. 59:6-7]. Those destitute of the true God are given over to idols, making their land full of bloody crimes and their city full of violence, [Ezek. 7:18-23]. This is the iniquity discovered in the Adversary himself, the violence embodied in the “great Satan,” not the U.S. or Israel, as the terrorists say, but the fallen archangel and prince of darkness; [Ezek. 28:16], who once sat at the side of the Almighty. This spiritual hatred rooted in the conflict between the two seeds of Gen. 3:15, is what makes for the virulent blood feud witnessed through all of OT History, and now in the last days, we are returning to the days that are like those of Noah.
As it was the enemy’s desire to prevent the 1st Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the genocide of Haman’s plot foiled by and the bravery of Queen Esther and Mordecai, that saved the Jews by the Hand of Almighty God of their day, so it remains their desire to inflict as much pain and destruction on Israel and the Christian world as possible today. God’s acts of righteous judgment will be completed as the evil ones of today are exposed and dealt with according to God’s perfect justice. The American Century in Eclipses. 2

 

Two sets of Eclipses define the American century. The first set define its beginning…a cross country USA eclipse on June 8, 1918…7 eclipse years (2422 days) later, an eclipse cut across the Northern US from Minnesota through New York City. The second set defines its end…starting with a cross-country USA eclipse on August 21, 2017 …seven eclipse years (2422 days) later, an eclipse cuts south to north through New York State ( the “empire state”)…
Between the 1918 and 2017 USA cross country eclipses is 36, 234 days.
Between the 1925 and 2024 USA eclipses is 36,234 days… Between each matching member of the pairs is 99 years and 74 days… or 1190 months and 13 days… The True American Century written in eclipses, bracketed by 7-year eclipse pairs.

In this illustrated Map of June 8, 1918 eclipse, Mt. Saint Helens in center of totality. The only Eclipse that traveled across the entire contiguous USA before 8-21-2017 was June 8, 1918. During this time the US was embroiled in WWI— and at the start of a Spanish Flu Pandemic …note incredible similarity to path of 8-21-2017 USA eclipse. This marks the beginning of US dominance in world affairs.

 At the mid-point of the roaring 20’s on January 24, 1925, a total solar eclipse across the northern USA from upper Minnesota provides the last total solar eclipse in New York City, the new epicenter and empire of western civilization, (“empire state”). New York was home to the financial and cultural centers of the nation–Wall Street, Broadway and vaudeville, Tin Pan Alley—the city was treated to rare clear skies and the eclipse was widely observed. The eclipse path crossed the Atlantic ocean to extreme northern latitudes. Near totality at Kennedy Home.

USA-Three solar eclipses in 7 years starting in 2017 – See the A? #3

 

It’s difficult to find any nation in history so perfectly trisected by solar eclipses geographically as the USA is by eclipses on 8-21-2017, 10-14-2023 and 4-8-2024…over a 2422 day span. A is for Alpha, (Hebrew) Alef , It’s an “A” that is comprised of three lines, two x’s. The 8-21-2017 and 4-8-2024 are Hepton Total Eclipses, both on Monday’s.

Total Solar Tav over America-2017 and 2024

 

It’s a cross. It’s also a Tav, the last letter, the 22nd, of the original Hebrew alphabet. It means truth. In the Greek alphabet, X is the symbol for the letter ‘chi. ‘ Chi (or X) is the first letter in the Greek word for “Christ” and can stand in for the word “Christ“, which is why people can write “Happy Xmas.” In the early days of the Christian church, Christians used the letter X as a secret symbol to indicate their membership in the church to others.

As the author points out this eclipse crossing in view of the Giza Plateau, embodies the southern border of the land promised to Abraham by God in Gen. 15:8, [see Ex. 6:1-8]. As we have just concluded 120 hours of teaching in our OT History class over 1.5 years, showing how the Jews have dwelt in this middle eastern land of Israel starting with Abraham for 1900+ years! This evident truth of Bible history will never be erased by holocaust denying terrorists. On Aug 2nd, 2027 and March 20, 2034 Total Eclipses intersect near the Valley of the Kings in Egypt…are also separated by a 2422-day span (7 Eclipse Years). Like the American Total Eclipses, both are Hepton Cycle eclipses taking place on Mondays. All four crossing eclipses are members of the same Hepton Cycle. 27 AD to 34 AD contain all the probable dates for the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The USA divided in half on Aug, 2017. 7 months and 1 day after Trump’s inauguration. First day of the month of Elul, Hebrew year 5777.  In Jewish tradition, the month of Elul is a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. 6

2422 days later, the USA is divided South to North, along with Mexico and extreme Eastern Canada. This occurs 8 days after Easter and 14 days before Passover. 7

The Mideast eclipses occur on boundaries of this 2,000th year anniversary, but no solar eclipse can naturally occur on the exact day’s anniversary. Jesus was crucified at Passover (which is at full moon). Solar eclipses  happen at new moon.

The total eclipses occur 7 eclipse years (draconic years -346 days) apart, both on Monday –Moon Day. A span of 2422 days. They are part of a unique series of eclipse groupings called a Hepton. 8

531 years and two days after Columbus discovered America, an Annular eclipse creates a ring of fire from Oregon to Texas and then on to South America this past weekend, October 14th 2023, one of 3 U.S. solar eclipses in the USA in Seven Years, [2017-2024].

Extremely significant Ring of Fire eclipses also occur during this time frame… including 12-26-2019 Tsunami Anniversary Eclipse.
6-21-2020 Solstice/Father’s Day Pandemic Eclipse,
6-10-2021 Canadian Judgment, and USA Ring of Fire 10-14-2023.

There are many ways to look at this grouping but it seems to demand consideration because of its obvious boundaries around the USA. There are three eclipses in 7 years in the USA and the nation is perfectly trisected. The fact that the nation was politically divided and subdued during this time frame stands clear as a historical fact. 9

USA, Central America, Exits Brazil

It enters Oregon–center of annularity coming ashore near Florence at 9:05 am. Oregon’s second eclipse in 7 years- and heads across the Southwest USA. Crosses Gulf of Mexico, Yucatan, Central America, across the Amazon and exits into the Ocean at Natal, Brazil. Natal is Portugese for Nativity. 10

Over the Cross of the Four Corners

The only place in the USA where four states meet and form a cross, the sacred lands of the Four Corners region. The Eclipse path perfectly covers the Cross as it travels over some of the most beautiful areas on planet earth, including confluence of Green and Colorado Rivers, several national parks and centers of the lost Anasazi Civilization like Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde.

Corpus Christi–The Body of Christ

The eclipse exits the USA at the exact centerline of annularity directly over the city of Corpus Christi, Tx (Body of Christ) – The only city in America that bears such a name. The eclipse then traverses the gulf of Mexico before crossing the Yucatan. 11

A “Ring of Fire”/ Sunflower Annular eclipse passes over the western US on 10-14-23 before traveling to the Yucatan and crossing northern Brazil. 177 days before the Spring 2024 total eclipse.

Remember!  Total and Annular Solar Eclipses are rare. To have three completely trisecting the USA in 7 years is nothing short of incredible. One eclipse is past-the Great American Eclipse of Aug 21 2017, The next total solar eclipse in the USA arrives 2422 days later on April 8, 2024, It will be the only Total solar eclipse to touch all three nations in the 21st Century. The shadow paths of these two eclipses mark an X over America-centerpoint just south of Carbondale Illinois, specifically near Salem Road near east bank of Cedar Lake.

The total eclipses occur 7 eclipse years (draconic years -346 days) apart, both on Monday –Moon Day. A span of 2422 days. They are part of a unique series of eclipse groupings called a Hepton. 12

The exact midpoint of the Total eclipses is 1211 days. That date turned out to be Dec.14, 2020...It so happens there was another total solar eclipse then on the other end of the Americas, also a Hepton Eclipse, also on Monday. It coincided with a momentous day  in the USA;

Joe Biden is confirmed President by Electoral College

The precise midpoint of the 2017 and 2024 USA eclipses was Dec. 14, 2020. On that day, between 10am and 5pm Eastern time, the Electoral College certifies Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as President and Vice-President of the United States of America. A significant Monday Total Solar eclipse perfectly spaced between two Total Solar Monday eclipses. 13

7 eclipse seasons–1211 days– in either direction brings you to the USA Eclipse Judgments of 8-21- 2017 and 4-8-2024 (which themselves are exactly

7 eclipse years apart).
7 eclipse seasons is 3 and 1/2 eclipse years … 34 months to the day before the USA’s Ring of Fire eclipse.

TWO TAVS MAKE AN ALEF / USA ECLIPSES, totally unique 2024

The April 8 2024 Eclipse will be the only one to cross Mexico, USA and Canada in the 21st Century. It occurs 8 days after Easter on a Monday.

Once again, the shadows of the three eclipses that occur in a 7-year span clearly write the letter A upon the United States. It is Alef, Alpha. Perhaps those with wisdom will reckon these days.

USA 8-21-2017

Total Eclipse/Judgment Eclipse. Hepton Cycle Monday Eclipse. The Great American Eclipse. The most viewed American eclipse of all time. America Divided. First major city in totality was Salem, Oregon–the largest US city named after Jerusalem. Before this, the last eclipse visible in the US was Feb. 26, 1979, seen only in the Northwest. 16

Last Total eclipse in USA for 38 years. Totality over Mount Saint Helen’s (1222.2 degrees longitude). 388 days before she awoke with an earthquake on Spring Equinox of March 20 1980, before she exploded to the due north on May 18 1980 in the largest volcanic eruption in modern Continental US  History. The beginning of the technological era. The final era of the American Empire and the creation of one of the last world Empires. 17

American Judgment 4-8-2024

Hepton Cycle: Monday Eclipse. Total Solar Eclipse. Judgment Eclipse. Finishes both Tavs and the Aleph over the USA (2nd Tav pictured above). 8 days after Easter, 2422 days from USA eclipse of 2017, 1211 days after Election Eclipse of 2020, 177 days after Ring of Fire eclipse of 10-14-2023. Do these eclipses embody Judgment on America?

A Metonic Cycle is a 19- solar year period of time which is bordered by the exact same solar date, lunar phase and ecliptic reality. In this case, matching solar spring equinox eclipses on 3-20-2015 and, 19-years later on 3-20-2034. Both of these dates are also bordered by lunar eclipse tetrads which fall on the high holy days of Judaism (Passover and Feast of Tabernacles). Within this Metonic are a series of eclipses that appear to highlight the empires of man, both along the anniversary years and around them. 18

The North Pole Spring Equinox Total Solar Eclipse of  3-20-2015 is the official Solar beginning of the Metonic we are considering, but its bordered by a extraordinary set of lunar eclipses, which created quite a stir in some circles. The so-called “Blood Moon ” Tetrad of 2014 and 2015 brought successive lunar eclipses on the high holy days of Judaism. Passover ( April 15) and Feast of Tabernacles (October 8) in 2014 and again Passover ( April 4) and Feast of Tabernacles (Sept 28) in 2015…nestled between these events was the singular 3-20-2015 Solar Eclipse which ended directly at the North Pole. It is unclear whether any eclipse in history has ever done such a thing. 19

Tetrads also announce the end of Metonic

There is another perfect lunar tetrad (meaning total eclipses) in the years 2032 and 2033. Between the the years 2033 and 2034 the lunar eclipses land again on the high holy days of Judaism.

2033–April 14 and October 8

2034–April 3rd and September 28…you will notice that these dates are essentially the same as the Lunar tetrads of 2014 and 2015. That is how the amazing Metonic cycle works.

A 19-year Chapter to write the Final Story

19 solar years is exactly 235 lunar months, and exactly 21 eclipse years (eclipse years are 346.62 days). Within this time frame are the Judgment Eclipses. Does the time frame start between the lunar or the solar? Is it the Blood Moon Tetrads that announce the beginning and the end of the cycle, or is it the tremendous Spring Equinox Eclipses of 2015 and 2034 that rest between them?

LUNAR ECLIPSE HOLY DAY TETRADS AND EQUINOX ECLIPSES

The Beginning of the Blood Moon Metonic

 

The only lunar eclipses considered in our survey involve the High Holy day tetrads. They occur on the 19 year Metonic just as the Solar Eclipse Equinox eclipses match calendar days of 3-20-2015 and 3-20-2034.

Lunar eclipses on the High Holy Days of Judaism in the years 2014 and 2015 sandwich a Total eclipse of the Sun on the Spring Equinox of 2015 ( Jewish and Muslim New Year) which ends immediately at the North Pole. Only 7 such lunar eclipse tetrads have occurred since the coming of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago. A Blood Moon Tetrad occurred between 1493 and 1494 shortly  following the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492 and the discovery of the New World.

A Blood Moon Tetrad occurred between 1949 and 1950 on Passover,  after the 1948 declaration independent Jewish state, which was followed by the war for Jewish independence.

A Blood Moon Tetrad occurred between 1967 and 1968, following the 1967 “Six Day War,” during which Israel liberated the entire city of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount where the First and Second Temples once stood. For the first time in 2,000 years, Jerusalem, in its completeness, was the capital of the Jewish state. A lunar tetrad occurs in 2023 and 2033 and a High Holy day tetrad occurs in the years 2033 and 2034 (though the eclipses will not be total in year 2034) 20

The End of the Blood Moon Metonic

They occur on the 19-year Metonic just as the Solar Eclipse Equinox eclipses match calendar days of 3-20-2015 and 3-20-2034. A lunar tetrad occurs in 2023 and 2033 and a High Holy day tetrad occurs in the years 2033 and 2034 (though the eclipses will not be total in year 2034). In each case, an important solar eclipse occurring on the Spring Equinox is sandwiched by lunar eclipses occurring on the high holy days of Judaism. 21

The author of this article via his website [https://eclipsewitness.com/eclipse-judgment-series] certainly presents some compelling celestial history here in a most convincing context. The celestial structure of these Luni-solar eclipse signs is not something one should ignore. If you do, you do so at the peril of yourself and your loved ones. These celestial signs surrounding the 2000th anniversary of Christ’s crucifixion, resurrection and ascension are not a “coincidence,” being a direct by-product from the Hand of our Almighty Creator, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Joshua’s Long Day and the birth of the King’s Son.

Our recent study of the Astronomical Miracle of Joshua’s Long Day, in the context of Jon Nessle’s OT History Class [Session 15] has opened some of the in-depth ramifications of the events related to this Bible record, as presented by Rev. Nessle, Ren Manetti and myself. This blog, picks up where my teaching on Chapter 3, Session 15b left off in OT History Class; The Eclipse and the Great Pyramid. We will start this initial blog of 2023 with a brief review of our Nov. 2022 blog on Joshua’s Long Day, focusing on how the key Hebrew words for the Sun and Moon standing still [dom and amad] are in this context held figuratively as synonymous. In this Jan. 2023 blog, we will see more on how this relates to the Great Pyramid, along with Jesus as the King’s Son. We will begin with some related comments and word studies below for further study, on Josh. 10 & Hab. 3 from our previous blog for context, to see where that leads us…

Habakkuk 3:11:
The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went,
At the shining of Your glittering spear.

“Sun and moon ‘stand still’ on high (ʿāmad zəbūlâ) / as Your arrows fly in brightness, Your flashing spear in brilliance.” The connection between this poetic source in the book of Habakkuk and the story of the miracle in the book of Joshua is clear and has been accepted by many interpreters throughout the ages.21 However, the syntax of the first line of the verse and the meaning of the word zəbūlâ posed major problems for them.22 Zəbūl in this verse is usually interpreted as the name of a sanctuary, throne, or platform for a god.23 The noun zəbūl appears four times in the Bible in addition to this passage in Habakkuk.24 In Isa 63:15, it clearly refers to a place high in the heavens where God usually dwells and from which He looks down on the earth. This is similar to one of the meanings of the Ugaritic term zbl; sometimes interpreted as the throne of a divine being in the heavens.25 The construction bêth zəbūl appears in Solomon’s speech at the temple’s dedication in 1 Kings 8:13 and its parallel in 2 Chr 6:2, 26 In this speech, scholars distinguish two parts: the first part, consisting of the opening two verses, 12–13, in which the construct bêth zəbūl appears; and the second, longer part, comprising the remainder of the speech from verse 14 to verse 53. 1

The authors continue with comments related to King Solomon’s building the first Temple to the true God, with the “additional words in the Greek text that constitute the first colon of a parallelism, with “The LORD has said that he would dwell in thick darkness” (v. 12) constituting the second cola. This extra line in the LXX–Septuagint includes added information that can contribute meaningfully to our topic, since it includes a reference to the sun: “Then Solomon said [concerning the house when he finished building it: He (the LORD) revealed the sun in the sky;] 28 the Lord has chosen to abide in thick clouds.” This shows that bêth zəbūl in the next verse corresponds to the place in the sky where the sun dwells. 2

In our previous Nov. 2022 blog we presented evidence for the Miracle of Joshua’s Long Day as a Total Solar eclipse, specifically the solar eclipse of July 14th, 1405 BC, visible over Canaan. We will expand on this idea in this study, especially the idea linked to the Hebrew words for the “Sun and Moon ‘stand still’ on high (ʿāmad zəbūlâ) in Josh. 10:12 and Hab. 3:11. The comment above in  reference to “Zəbūl in this verse usually interpreted as the name of a sanctuary, throne, or platform for a god,” is an idea we will expand on, in light of Scripture and Hebrew culture. In Jewish life, the Tabernacle and Temple embodied the center of their spiritual and social life activities. This sanctuary and Holy place where the people interacted with Priests and Prophets, that ministered to the Almighty in the Holy of Holies, responding to the oracles of God’s Covenant with Israel, also included the King, and whether or not his administration followed the godly ordinances, doing good or evil in God’s sight, fits with Zəbūl above being interpreted as the name of a sanctuary, throne, or platform for a god. What is interesting is the link to the Sun and Moon here, since the state of light or darkness was dependent on how the king ruled to uphold God’s Covenant for Israel.

It is interesting that Christ as the King of kings embodies the light of God as the apex of the royal line, and consummation of the kings of Israel in the Davidic Dynasty as the Lion of Judah. As Mal. 4:2 states “But unto you that fear My Name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings… refers to Jesus Christ, who embodied more of God’s names than any other. In this light, we will investigate the references to the king’s coronation process, and their implications below, as found in the records in Kings & Chronicles.

This is consistent with a comparison of this verse to Josh 10:13: zəbūl in Hab 3:11 seems to parallel the “midheaven” (ḥaṣî haššāmayim) in Joshua.30 The second part of the speech expresses a clear underlying view that the earthly temple is not intended to be the dwelling place of God, but only the place where His name dwells.31 As explained in detail in the speech, people will pray to God facing the earthly temple in Jerusalem, and God will hear their prayer from His dwelling in heaven.32 The concept of zəbūl as a divine place in the heavens is found in a non-biblical scroll from Qumran in which “the holy zəbūl (of God)” is the place of the angels33 and the location from which the two great luminaries come. 4

Echoes of the view that the sun has a home are found in the Bible; See Ps 19:5–7. The root bwʾ, “come,” refers to the disappearance of the sun over the western horizon, and the root yṣʾ, “go out,” refers to its appearance in the east (Gen 19:23; Judg 5:31; Isa 13:10). That is also the “location” of the sun in Eccl 1:5, as rising and setting points on the Horizon. It may even be that gebūrātô, “its might,” in “the sun precisely, the entry of the sun god into his heavenly palace, means that the sun has gone dark. [under the earth at night] 5  This can also represent the collective temple of the Sun/Son of God moving on the ecliptic through the 12 Houses/Tribes/ Apostles of Israel as the head/apex and capstone of the Great Pyramid. [See Figs 1 & 3 below]

The word zebul/zebula is interpreted as the name of a sanctuary, throne, or platform for a god,
it is fitting Biblically that bêth zəbūl appears in Solomon’s speech at the Temple’s dedication in Jerusalem in 1 Kings 8:13, 27, 42. As a reflection and earthly representation of God’s true temple in Heaven, it embodies the physical and spiritual light of God, the Father of Lights for all Creation, the main two being the Sun and Moon. The interrelation between these primary two sources of light on earth is witnessed in the eclipse cycle, which is the subject of Joshua’s Long Day, also in Hab. 3:11. The Word study below includes the main related roots alongside dom, of amad H5975, 5976–amad,
5977–omed, and H5982-ammud. We will start with Scriptural references of amad H5975, as follows;

The context of Ezek. 29:2-ff is Pharaoh of Egypt, the great dragon/crocodile of the Nile who invaded and captured Gaza, [Jer 47:1] Bullinger says Pharaoh Hophra called Apries by the Greeks, who also hit Zidon in assault and battled the Prince of Tyre on the Sea [Herodotus ii, 161, 169] cp. 2 Kgs. 24:7, Jer. 46:2, battle of Carchamesh 37:5-8. Egypt thus caused Jerusalem’s destruction. [Jer. 44:30, 46:25-26.] Ezek. 29:4 uses the same language here describing Leviathan in Job as Cetus the decan of the sea monster, and Rahab=Egypt in Isa. 51:9-16, 30:7, the strength of Egypt is to sit still. Ps. 74: 13-14. As Israel under Zedekiah relied on Egyptian support which faltered [Ezek. 29:6-7] making their loins to come to a standstill, shake or “be a stand“=this usage of [H5976–amad]. God divided the sea by His strength, breaking the heads of dragons in the waters, the heads of Leviathan in pieces… see Job 40-41, Hislop p. 293 talks of this Pharaoh as the embanker of the Nile.  7

In light of the astronomical meanings of the root ʿāmad (see below, section 4.2), if we read zəbūlâ in Hab. 3:11, as it is vocalized in the Masoretic Text,43 the verse can be understood in its plain sense, without any need for emendations: the moon in its orbit went—unexpectedly—into the orbit of the sun and made it go dark. With the little light that remained on the earth, the flying arrows and the heads of the spears appeared to the soldiers to shine like the glow of stars. As explained below (section 4.4), observers can distinguish both the sun and the moon covering it only during an annular solar eclipse.8 [or a total solar eclipse seen through the overcast skies that spawned the hailstorm of Josh. 10:11] 

Thus, the aspect of darkness of dôm is directed primarily to the sun, which stopped shining in the middle of the day, while the aspect of cessation refers primarily to the moon, which appears as if it were “standing” in front of the sun, as explained in verse 13, “And the sun went dark/halted, And the moon stood (still).” Other scholars, beginning in the 1940s, arrived at the conclusion that the two verbs used in this description, dôm and ʿāmād, express an unexpected cessation of the sun’s illumination and not the sun’s halting in its heavenly orbit,55 a result arrived at by various Jewish  commentators in the Middle Ages. The interpretation of the root dwm/dmm as a cessation of the sun’s illumination accords with one of the meanings of the root, which sometimes refers to the (usually sudden and unexpected) cessation of something from its natural, designated activity, as, for example, in Jer 47:6, in which the sword is asked to stop slaying, and in 1 Sam 14:9—in a parallel to ʿāmād, as in our verse—where it refers to non-participation in a battle.56 The same is true of ʿāmad, primarily with the preposition m-, as in Gen 30:9, where it refers to Leah’s ceasing
to bear children.57] 9

Later, J.F.A. Sawyer58 also interpreted the biblical description as a solar eclipse and suggested identifying it with the eclipse that occurred on September 30, 1131 BCE. He interpreted dôm as “stillness,” meaning that the sun ceased to shine. He explained the word ʿāmād and the clause “did not press, [or proceed] to set a whole day…10

31 Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book. 32 And he made all who were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin take a stand. So the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers. 33 Thus Josiah removed all the abominations from all the country that belonged to the children of Israel, and made all who were present in Israel diligently serve the Lord their God. All his days they did not depart from following the Lord God  of their fathers.

The teaching of this “place” where the King stood is at least two-fold, first being a physical place or platform, where he stood. Secondly, the spiritual foundation of his standing. King Josiah was a reformer who returned the kingdom of Israel to the precepts of righteousness, within God’s Covenant. We will look into this in greater detail below, in our study of 2Kgs. 23:3 and the king’s coronation record. The King’s coronation was always held in the temple, served by the prophets and priests who ministered in the ordination and installment of the King according to godly standards, as we find in the installment of King Josiah. It will help to understand better the celestial/astronomical implications of these temple pillars, for context.

A key aspect of the Temple layout regards the two large Brass Pillars at the entrance of the Temple at Jerusalem, and their relation to the Pi ratio. They are described in I Kings 7:13-15 below.

1 Ki 7:13 And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre. [14] He was a widow’s son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work. [15] For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.

The word for “line” in verse 15 above indicates a line for measuring, thus a closer look at these brass pillars is called for. The Pi ratio has long been considered a transcendental number, or constant of  mathematics (3.14159…), linking a straight diameter to a curved circumference. The archaeologist and mathematician Charles Funk-Hellet points out that:

“Solomon had Hiram contribute to building a temple whose brass columns were 18 cubits high, and 12 cubits around. In other words, one cubit equaled the twelfth part of the circumference of the arc of 30 degrees, or pi/6. By subtracting the circumference from the height, they obtained 6 cubits in a straight line, which was equal to 1/2 the circumference, or the exact value of pi; so that 1000 years before Christ the Hebrews knew that a cubit was a mathematical entity dependent on the circumference, and were able to resolve pi to four points of decimal.” 13

Funk-Hellet’s observation that: “By subtracting the circumference from the height, they obtained 6 cubits in a straight line, which was equal to 1/2 circumference, or the exact value of pi/6.…“ is worth noting when we come to the subject of the celestial symbolism of the Menorah, and its application of pi, building on what we have found here. Funk-Hellet goes on to say that: “the Biblical cubit is equal to the Egyptian Royal cubit, that was incorporated into the Jerusalem Temple as pi/6, or 523.6 mm. Using one unit of measure as the radius of a circle, the ancients found the trigonometric value of 30 degrees to be pi/6, (that divided the full circumference of the circle into 12 equal parts, as the 12 signs of the zodiac are divided into 12/30 degree segments) and was the value of the royal cubit, or .5236 of the unit used: 3.1416/6= .5236“ 14 (parenthesis & emphasis mine)

In effect, we have an architectural representation of the twelve-fold division of the heavens preserved in the dimensions of the Temple’s Brass columns, all based on the mathematical standard Pi, long before most modern scientists imagined the ancients knew anything about Pi at this level of accuracy. This provides more evidence showing the Creator’s perfect wisdom and Nature’s Great Geometer, at work in the dimensions of His Temple, as an illustration of heavenly realities [Heb. 8:5], which He gave to King  David by revelation. Also symbolically contained in the dimensions of the Temple’s brass columns, is a figure of 12 calendar months of 30 days, totaling the 360 days of their year, a calendar also used going all the way back to Noah’s time, in the context of the 360-degrees of the ecliptic. This reveals a true origin of the 12 – 30° segments of the ecliptic, as a standard celestial measure, and also reveals the Pi ratio at the root of the Hebrew Calendar matching the 360 degrees of the circle with the 360 days of the year on the Calendar of the Biblical Patriarchs. And since Noah was already 600 years old when the Bible records the details of his luni-solar calendar in Genesis 7, it also implies that it was used by the earlier Biblical Patriarchs prior to the flood, and centuries before history and human science thought this level of sophisticated astronomical timekeeping was in use. For more information on Noah’s Calendar, please check our website link @try-god.com. As we find other Biblical uses of the Hebrew word “qav,” God’s application of the Pi concept far exceeds any previous application in human history. Views based on scientific Materialism will never account fully for the realities of God’s Creation. Only from the Creator’s viewpoint in His Word, and the Works of His Hands, do these applications of pi make sense. Only He could apply pi to the ecliptic and the dimensions of planet Earth, an idea borne out in greater detail, in how pi is symbolically and architecturally applied, not only in the Hebrew Tabernacle and Temple, but moreso in the Great Pyramid, [Fig. 3, below]. Since the pattern shown to Moses for the Tabernacle was by divine revelation, just as the Temple’s pattern was shown to King David, these men of God did not calculate the blueprints for these sacred edifices, or their related measurements, by scientific trial and error. Thus, they didn’t need to wait centuries on the Greeks-like Archimedes, generally considered the greatest of ancient scientists, to rediscover or apply them in divine architecture. Although Archimedes is to be commended for his application of the pi ratio, at his later time in history, respectfully it pales compared to what we find in the Biblical uses of “qav” relating to pi.

In Isa. 9:6, one of the great prophecies of the promised seed, it is used of the Messiah as Sar-Shalom, the Prince of Peace, the one who brings peace to all Creation, [Eph. 2:11-18]. The word Sar as the root of saros doubtless linked to the Hebrew word [H8269] of the same spelling, meaning; “ruler, prince,  captain, chief, leader, head.”17 The word retained this meaning even in modern usage, as in the Tsar of all the Russias. As a witness linking to the roots of very early human language, Aesar is a word for “God” in both, Icelandic and Irish, Osar in Egyptian like Osiris was the prince. Even the English word “sir” and the Roman “Ceasar” are traceable to this root. It is used in Daniel 10:13 & 20, referring the arch-angel Michael who routed the fallen angel (Daimon), opposing the messenger angel that God sent to answer Daniel’s prayer. The meaning of “sar” is Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace embodies “the sum of creation, as the prince of Creation.” The most important date on the calendar of Israel then becomes the birthday of Jesus Christ on New Years Day, Tishri 1, 3 BC. Because the Hebrew calendar was lunar based [saros] as to the start of its months, the coordination of the lunar and solar cycles set the basis for the signs marking the birth of Christ. “With every 19 solar years plus 2 hours, the Sun and Moon return to meet each other at the same appointed time and place in the sky. The saros, however being an eclipse lunar cycle, consists of 19 eclipse years, which is only 18 solar years plus eleven days. An eclipse year consists of 346.62 solar days, which is equal to 11.738 full moons. When we divide the saros by 11.738, we get 1.618, (or phi), accurate to 4 digits!”18 This shows us a comparison between 2 lunar cycles (eclipse years & full moons) that harmonize according to the phi ratio. Since the Sun intersects a lunar Node two times every 346.62-day eclipse year, we see how the solar and lunar cycles might also be linked by the phi proportion. As we consider the Calendar of Israel, which unified the luni-solar cycles according to phi, in concert with Israel’s sacred fifty-year cycle of Jubilees, the impact of this pattern in the Natural Order is evident, since there are 618 full Moons in any given 50-year Jubilee cycle.

According to Hislop, The Chaldean version of this word: Zer, meaning “to encompass” gives us not only the English basis for; “Zero signified by a circle among the Chaldeans,” but also Zero; “the seed.”19 It further relates to the Hebrew word “zera” [H2233], used referring to the promised seed in Genesis 3:15. To this end the Chaldean word for the “woman’s promised seed” was Zero-ashta, that also formed the basis of the name Zoroaster. We should note here that the Zoroastrian writings in the Zend-Avesta predicted the return of Zoroaster as a Messianic savior who would renew all existence in preparation for the Last Judgment. These references to the woman’s promised seed point directly to the general sign of the Celestial Prelude. Hislop also notes:

 “In many nations, not only was a great god known under the name of Zero or Zer; the seed, and a great goddess under the name of Ashta or Ishta; the woman, but the great god Zero is frequently characterized by some epithet which implies that he is The only One.”20

This evidence provides a strong basis for a direct correlation to Coma, the seed as the desired of the nations, [Hab. 2:7] especially when we view the supernova in this child’s head, as the promised seed, pictured in the woman’s lap in the decan of Coma, as the general sign of the Celestial Prelude. Hislop goes on to say: “As he who by the Chaldeans was regarded as the great Seed was looked upon as the Sun incarnate, and as the emblem of the Sun was a circle, the hieroglyphic relation between zero; “the circle,” and zero; ‘the seed‘ was easily established.”21

The Maya were also familiar with the concept of zero long before it reached Europe through India and the Arab traders. They used a shell shape to symbolize zero, but to them “it was not a symbol for nothing; but it represented completion and the seed from which all could be derived.”22

From the information above we can see related cultural connotations for Sar-zero in the sun, embodied as the promised “great seed” [Mal. 4:2], the ecliptic upon which the sun travels [Psalm 19:4-6], in its course, moon (saros), and the “encompassing” circle, in spite of being separated by culture and time. The history of “zero” from a mathematical viewpoint is interesting in this light, because the Arabs, from whom we have taken it, got it from the Chaldeans. In our modern usage, zero is the absence of quantity, the point where a continuous function changes its sign from positive to negative [or from the physical to spiritual] as in, for example, zero–point energy Physics. From a Biblical viewpoint, this transition between the physical and spiritual realms is embodied in Jesus Christ who is the crown of Creation. As the Word made flesh, seated at the right hand of God at the utmost peak of the cosmos, Jesus gives mankind our only access to the true spiritual side of life that arches over our physical “reality,” [II Cor. 4:18]. As the ideal man and mediator, he embodies the relationship between all humanity on Earth and our Heavenly Father. This becomes more interesting when we consider that, according to ancient Sumerian myth, Sar also symbolized the totality of the cosmos. The Sumerian conception of this was dual, meaning there was an upper totality called An-Sar, and a lower totality known as Ki-Sar. “An” meant heaven, and “Ki” meant Earth to the Sumerians, who believed that originally these two were unified in one place, until circumstances demanded that Earth be set aside for humanity in its fallen state. The Sar was the prince who would once again unify these disparate aspects of Creation resulting from the temptation and fall of man. As we consider the Sumerian cosmos, we find the ancient concept of a layered Celestial Sphere within the great circle of An-Sar that encompasses the lesser ellipses or pillars of the ecliptic, Equator, the planetary; earthly and lunar orbits.

As the high priest after the order of Melchisedek, Jesus inherits his double square breastplate of 12 precious stones, symbolizing the authority of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah as Priest-King over Israel’s 12 [4 x 3] tribes [Ex. 28:15-30]. Keeping with the celestial symbolism theme, the breastplate, was designed with a niche holding the Urim and Thummim, or lights and perfections; representing the two great lights of the Sun and Moon. As oracles of the High Priest, these two stones revealed the wisdom and glory of the Creator, even as the movements of the Sun and Moon in the sky declare God’s glory [Ps. 19:1]. We find more references to these 12 stones and their variants in the living stones of I Pet. 2:4-7. 

Another element in understanding the celestial/astronomical implications of these temple pillars, includes the astronomy of the birth of Christ. This is a natural progression from the Kings of Israel, starting with King David and the Davidic Dynasty leading to the promised seed and King of Kings, the apex of this royal spiritual line in Jesus Christ.

Other notable researchers have acknowledged the correlation of Rosh Hashanah not only at the Birth of Christ on Sept. 11th, 3 BC, but also as his birth relates to his victorious return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, with the Rev. 12 heavenly birth signs replaying in 2017 and beyond, in light of the Biblical Archaeo-Astronomy of the Great Pyramid. He broached this topic with the question; “Could Rosh Hashanah be the real factor? His basic idea is  that the pyramid complex is a map of the heavens of a point in time when Christ returns. The pyramids show what is to be at meridian (Al Nitak in Orion), taking into account the causeways heading east from the pyramids, showing the importance of the rising sun or other items rising in the east. That the Sphinx also looks to the east is a factor as well. The point though was to see when a candidate for an alignment of Rosh Hashanah and the meridian alignment of Orion at dawn.”24

As we have posted in numerous blog studies, the heavenly signs marking the birth of Christ seen in Rev. 12 will also mark his victorious return, and we have documented how the heavenly signs in the 2014-2015 Blood Moon Tetrad and the signs leading up to the 2017 fall equinox, established this truth. However, the 2017 alignment was not alone as a possible marker for Christ’s Return. The next alignment of this type is coming in 2028, when dates for Rosh Hashanah may match the sky picture of signs as described in Rev. 12. In 2017 Matson showed a key relationship between the Christ Angle of the Great Pyramid and the Rosh Hashanah date starting-sundown on Sept. 20th-21st, 2017, two days before the Feast of Trumpets on 9-23-2017. As Matson said, “this was the first year from when he marked Rosh Hashanah coming immediately after Sept. 20th—the time Al Nitak hits the meridian precisely at dawn, and also when Regulus hits the Christ angle.”25 Thus, the Christ angle not only bisects Bethlehem as a prophecy of Christ’s birth, but it also bisects Regulus as in 2017, at this point in time again in 2028, as a potential time of his Return.

The Sept. 20th alignment of Venus-Regulus related to the Great Pyramid, is seen in Fig. 4 below.

Signs of the End – The Oracle in Stone

Here the passages of the Great Pyramid according to the Christ Angle, map out the signs of the
Celestial Sphinx, as Regulus and Venus are aligned in Leo the Lion, while Jupiter is in Virgo.

The first clincher here is that on Rosh Hashanah-2017, Venus the bright and Morning Star is in
conjunction with Regulus at dawn, aligned with the Christ Angle, visible above the horizon. Second, below the horizon is Jupiter–called the “scepter” in [Num. 24:17], as King planet of the Jews, is positioned equi-distant via the Christ angle to Regulus & Venus above the horizon. The dawn Venus–Regulus union reminds us of the testimony of the Apostle Peter;

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

In Fig. 5 below the Christ angle in the Ascending Passage of the Great Pyramid is aligned with the Venus-Regulus union in Leo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The key note here is the star Regulus, the brightest star on the ecliptic, is located at the heart of Leo, and when this glorious dawn of the sixth administration breaks, the Morning Star Jesus Christ arises in our hearts, enlightening us for eternal glory, as we are raptured with Christ to God’s own right hand, forever. The 2nd part of this Pyramid alignment on Rosh Hashanah, when Al Nitak hits the meridian precisely at dawn,  extending through the Pyramid’s apex, to the star Al Nitak on Orion’s Belt. The apex and chief cornerstone of the Great Pyramid itself is also the subject of numerous messianic prophecies [Ps. 118: 22] where the stone rejected by the builders has become head of the corner, or the chief cornerstone. This 5th cornerstone of the Great Pyramid sits atop the superstructure of the Great Pyramid, unifying the four cornerstones at the Pyramid’s base, into the spiritual body of Christ’s Church, [Eph. 2:20]. This would activate the celestial image of the Great Pyramid, to unify the capstone with the body of the Great Pyramid, as a prophecy of Christ’s return FOR his saints.

The Almighty has provided many examples from History and Nature, not to mention countless Biblical miracles confirming His Prophetic Word, in the dual witness of Biblical Archaeo-Astronomy, of the Great Pyramid providing excellent depictions of this verse with Venus the Morning Star aligned in the King Star Regulus at dawn on Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 21st, 2017, according to the measures of the Great Pyramid’s Ascending/ Descending passages, [Fig. 5 below]. If indeed these heavenly signs are pointing to The Dawn of The Day of the Lord’s Return FOR his Saints in 2028, then it will truly be the dawn of a New Day and Age of Everlasting Righteousness in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This view of the prophecy of the Great Pyramid in its Ascending and Descending Passage angles agrees with what Scriptures say about the witness of the Great Pyramid in Isaiah 19:19-20. What is evident from this graphic [Fig. 4] is the key role of the planets Jupiter and Venus in marking the Birth and 2nd Coming of the Lord. Historically, ancient Pyramid researchers have made key observations concerning the dimensions and symbolism of the only ancient world wonder still intact. Scholars from Herodotus to Agatharchides of Cnidus in the 2nd Cent. BC, emphasized mathematical and geometric principles governing the building and conception of the Pyramid complex on the Giza Plateau, as opposed to their specific measures. A modern scholar, Livio Stechini in analyzing the past work of Pyramid researchers, has focused on the meridian triangle of the Great Pyramid, which provided precise values of both the Pi and Phi ratios, in the four triangular faces of the Great Pyramid. Agatharchides found dimensions for two of the meridian sections of the Pyramid based on Pi, with the other 2 triangle sections based on Phi.28 As we may recall from our High School Geometry class, Pi resolved the circle’s relationship between its diameter and circumference. In Sacred Geometry, a spiritual view of geometric principles is held, where the Circle symbolizes the Eternal Creator [Elohim], while the Diameter embodies God as Jehovah in relationship with His Creation. Jehovah is seen reaching out to humanity in His only begotten Son, where Jesus as the diameter line, links the center–point; [Man–creation] to the Creator seen as the eternal Circle, outside of Creation. So Christ is the perfect mediator between God and Man, [I Tim. 2:5].

Rosh ha-Shanah on Tishri 1, was the “head” of the Judean calendar as New Year’s day and Jesus’ birth-day, the first day of the 50–year Hebrew cycle of Jubilees. This set a foundational temporal pattern of the seasons, holidays and feasts of Israel’s sacred calendar.

During the “Great Wonder” of Rev. 12:1, the feet of the woman, Virgo fall at the intersection of the ecliptic and the Celestial Equator, which is also known as the autumnal equinox, one of the so-called four “pillars of heaven,” the four Cardinal Directions of the horizon. This celestial point was generally marked on the Hebrew calendar by the Feast of Tabernacles, which occurred later during this Sabbath of Months. V.P. Wierwille refers to the significance of Tishri 1 the seventh month, with the following:

 “Just as age was reckoned from Tishri 1 to Tishri 1, so were the regnal years of Judean Kings. The blowing of trumpets of Rams Horns was also part of the coronation ceremony of these Judean Kings.” 29

We find added evidence for this in the star cycle of Sirius, as a symbol embodying a dual-nature of the Morning Star. Its fallen archaic nature is seen in Lucifer, the first Morning Star [Isa. 14:12], while the risen nature is seen in Christ [Rev. 22:16]. This becomes more intriguing when we look at aspects of the stellar mythos of the star cycles of Sirius A & B, of the African tribe called the Dogon.

The Dogon celestial mythology says the cycle of Sirius “B,” a White Dwarf companion star in joint orbit with Sirius “A“, is a 50-year cycle, a fact verified by modern astronomers. Thus, it is instructive to see how half the fifty-year cycle of Sirius “B“ exhibits the luni-solar kinship inherent in the 50-year cycle of Hebrew Jubilees, according to the golden section, or phi ratio. This key to the celestial coordination of the luni-solar cycle, along with the star cycle of Sirius as the three main calendars referred to in Gen. 1:14-16. Since the sidereal Sirius year, or Sothic Calendar as the Greeks called it, requires a highly advanced knowledge of the heavens, capable of selecting the lone star in the sky that dictates a year-365¼ days long, we find more support for these advanced astronomical practices about 1000+ years prior to Abraham, in ancient Egypt.

Although the historical correlation of the 50-year Jubilee and the 50-year Sothic cycle is unsettled, we have seen the Jubilee cycle is central to the timing of Christ’s birth, and stands out in the celestial events making up the great wonder of Rev. 12. According to Schwaller de Lubicz, who broke down the 50-year Sothic cycle into two 25 year cycles: says a twenty-five year cycle corresponds to 309 lunations. The calculations are:

25 x 365 = 9125 days, and
9125 = 29.5307 days per lunation in 309 lunations

This in itself reveals extremely accurate observations. Modern Astronomy reckons the lunation as 29.53059 days, a difference of about a second. But Schwaller de Lubicz notes the intriguing equivalence of twenty-five years to 309 lunar months. 309 = (Ø -1 x 1000 and its choice as the number determining the cycle cannot have been accidental.                                   2

Thus the inception of Jesus’ reign as King of Kings is marked on his birthday of Tishri 1, the “Day of Trumpets.” The significance of the king’s coronation tied to Rosh Hashannah, New Year’s Day and the head of Israel’s calendar, is that Christ is the King of Kings presiding over all temporal, civil and sacred matters as the King-High Priest of Israel. Thus, his birth on this key day of the calendar was foreordained by God, from before the foundations of the world. An example of this coronation tradition in the kingdom of Israel can be seen in II Kings 11:

2 Kings 11:12-14
And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king. [13] And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the Lord. [14] And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.

The figure Polysyndetyn is evident in 2 Kings above as seen with the use of many “ands” separating the steps of the king’s coronation, starting with bringing forth the king’s son in v. 12, and concluding with the blowing of trumpets, and Athalia tearing her clothes and crying Treason as the 13th step of rebellion in v.14, resulting in her death.

The chronological alignment that we are recognizing with regards to the regnal years of Judean kings,  calculated from New Years Day, Rosh ha-Shanah on the Hebrew Calendar, from Tishri 1 to Tishri 1, that coincides with the birthday of Jesus Christ is established in a celestial coronation ceremony of the promised seed, with the triple planetary union of Jupiter-Regulus following Christ’s birth in 3  BC. In the Book of Kings, Jesus is the King’s son, in the Red Thread title, that unveils each book in God’s Word according to the ministry of Christ. These steps recorded in the king’s coronation here in II Kings 11:12-14, start with the king being brought forth, the ninth of which is “the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was.” Verse 13 above notes that the coronation ceremony took place in the Temple of the Lord, which is logical since the king was ordained and anointed of God. Below we find the celestial rendition of Christ’s Coronation, with the first of 3 unions of Jupiter, the King planet and Regulus the king star, in 3-2 BC. In Fig. 6 below, the path of Jupiter from Sept. 3 BC to Nov. 2 BC is depicted as Jupiter crowns Regulus. This involves the coordination of the luni-solar, planetary and star cycles all synched in honor of the prophesied appearance of the promised seed, God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the King of kings.

In the Astronomy of the Birth of Christ, we also found a series of at least 7 lunar occultations of Regulus, signifying the serpent’s efforts to obstruct the purposes of God in the time of Christ’s birth. There is evidence that these lunar activities marked the workings of the serpent’s seed in bringing about death and destruction. This dark lunar symbolism relates to the Moon’s eclipse cycle resulting in the recurrent lapse of the Sun’s life-giving light. In the final analysis however, persecution by the adversary does not directly hinder the movement of God’s Word, it only will ultimately assist in its abundant dispersion.

II Chronicles 23:3-11 shows us this record in greater detail.
3 Then all the assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said to them,“Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the Lord has said of the sons of David. 4 This is what you shall do: One-third of you entering on the Sabbath, of the priests and the Levites, shall be keeping watch over the doors;  one-third shall be at the king’s house; and one-third at the Gate of the Foundation. All the people shall be in the courts of the house of the Lord. 6 But let no one come into the house of the Lord except the priests and those of the Levites who serve. They may go in, for they are holy; but all the people shall keep the watch of the Lord. 7 And the Levites shall surround the king on all sides, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever comes into the house, let him be put to death. You are to be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out.”

8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded. And each man took his men who were to be on duty on the Sabbath, with those who were going off duty on the Sabbath; for Jehoiada the priest had not dismissed the divisions. 9 And Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields which had belonged to King David, that were in the temple of God. 10 Then he set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and by the temple, all around the king. 11 And they brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, gave him the [a]Testimony, and made him king. Then Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, “Long live the king!”

Death of Athaliah

12 Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people in the temple of the Lord. 13 When she looked, there was the king standing by his pillar at the entrance; and the leaders and the trumpeters were by the king. All the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets, also the singers with musical instruments, and those who led in praise. So Athaliah tore her clothes and said, “Treason! Treason!”

2Kgs. 23:3, the king stood by a pillar at the Temple’s entrance in the 13 steps of his coronation. As Ezek. 17:14, tells us, if the king kept God’s Covenant, the kingdom would stand, explaining why the coronation ceremony was held in the Temple where God’s name dwelt.

[13] And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason. 14 And Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, “Take her outside under guard, and slay with the sword whoever follows her.” For the priest had said, “Do not kill her in the house of the Lord.”
15 So they seized her; and she went by way of the entrance of the Horse Gate into the king’s house, and they killed her there.

The Trumpets that accompanied the King’s coronation ceremony on Rosh Hashanah in v.13 above, are very appropriate to the pomp and circumstance of the occasion. There has been conjecture as to the meaning of this pillar or column [H5982-ammud=Judg. 16:25-26, I Kgs. 7:2, pillar of cloud, Ex. 33:9-10, and the pillar of fire in Ex. 13:22. Also used of pillars of heaven in Job 26:11 and pillars of the earth, Job 9:6-7. Job here mentions the earthly pillars in the same breath as the sun not giving its light, along with the stars being sealed up. The earth’s seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall, located at the equinoxes and solstices, are called the earthly pillars. [2.] a Platform or scaffold; where the King stood by his pillar; 2 Kgs. 11:14, 23:3.

The record in 2 Chron. 23 puts this “pillar at the entering in,” and if the entrance of the temple is meant, it refers to the Temple’s large pillars of brass called Jachin and Boaz. This agrees with the New Bible Dictionary which states: “The entrance to Solomon’s Temple was flanked by 2 huge bronze pillars of key significance, [I Kgs 7:15-22]. They were thought to indicate the divine presence as the pillars of fire and cloud in Ex. 33:9, Deut. 31:15. It was apparently by one of these that the king stood on ceremonial occasions, [2 Kings 23:3, 2 Chron. 23:13].”32

 In II Chron. 34:31, King Josiah stood in his place (H5977–omed) and made a covenant before the Lord to keep His commandments. The word translated “place” has the same Hebrew root [H5975–amad] as the word “pillar” above.

1 Kings 7:21 And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

Thus, as the kings of Israel stood in their place, by their pillar in the temple during the king’s
coronation ceremony, so the coronation of the King of kings, seen in the stellar heralding of his birth, was also marked by one of the four celestial pillars of heaven. At this center point in history, near the autumnal equinox, with the Moon at the feet of Virgo, with the setting of the star Spica-Al Zemach, the moments of the birth of Jesus Christ were framed in the heavens. This was followed 3 days later by the first union of a triple planetary coronation with first
Jupiter-Regulus Conjunction in Leo.

This graphic marks the scene described in Rev. 12 with “the woman [Virgo] clothed with the sun, and the Moon at her feet. The Moon also happens to mark the autumnal equinox, with the crossing of the Celestial Equator and the Ecliptic or path of the Sun. This picture represents the view from Jerusalem on Sept. 11th, 3, BC, at sunset at 6:18pm, and moonset at 7:39pm, as the Sun and Moon frame the setting of the Star Spica which marked the birth time of the Messiah Jesus Christ. 34

This reference to the Feasts of Tabernacles and Passover in the pillar’s chapiters dividing the year in half according to the sacred calendar, remind us of the relation of the luni-solar year that is evident in the cycle of Jubilees. The Feast of Tabernacles was the third of the great annual feasts of the Hebrew sacred calendar, beginning on the fifteenth of the month, which was the height of the full Moon. It determined the start, and closed the annual sacred cycle of the Sabbatical year and the agricultural year, while also marking the change of seasons. Coming during the seventh or most sacred month with its Moon at full strength, shows us another stamp of seven in the temporal order of this feast. Edersheim comments on the significance of the number seven in his book The Temple, where he states:

“What the seventh day, or sabbath was to the week, the seventh month seems to have been to the year.” 35

Thus it would follow that, as Pentecost was to Passover in that it followed it by fifty days (7×7+1), so the Jubilee followed in years. Leviticus 25:8 relates the “seven Sabbaths of years” to the 50th year of the Jubilee, which fell on the Day of Atonement, or the tenth day of the holiest 7th month of Tishri. In the same way that liberty was proclaimed in the Jubilee, throughout all the land and to all its inhabitants [Levi. 25:10], so Jesus set at liberty them that were bruised, while proclaiming the acceptable year of the Lord at the opening of his ministry. This is interesting when we observe that there are thirty Jubilees that bring us from the Exodus to the opening of Christ’s ministry, when opening the scroll to Isa. 61:2, he certified the “acceptable year of the Lord” in a 7-fold prophecy, (Lk. 4:18-21).36 This fits neatly with the truth that in fulfilling the O.T. Law as the embodiment of the Passover male lamb of the first year [Exod. 12:5), Jesus was in the first year of his manhood according to Hebrew reckoning, beginning at 30 years old. During this specific period of 70 weeks; [Dan. 9:24] decreed by God as the period to fulfill this Messianic redemption wherein he ministered to Israel, he was crucified, resurrected, & ascended, exploding the myth that his ministry lasted till he was thirty-three.

In summary, the January Blog of 2023 has illustrated how the potential eclipse of Joshua’s Long Day relates to the luni-solar cycle through the eclipse cycle and even the lunar occultations of Regulus,
to highlight Biblical Astronomy keys of the coronation of the King of kings. Behind it all, we find
God’s mighty Hand guiding us in our search for Biblical truth, continuing to inspire us as we uncover invaluable nuggets along our ultimate path to being seated in Christ at God’s right hand, according to His eternal purposes.

The Miracle of the Sundial of Ahaz

The Miracle of the Sundial of Ahaz

For those who have been keeping up with the sessions of Jon Nessle’s Class on Old Testament History, we have come to a section called Biblical Chronology. This topic deals with time in general; regarding events, both in history and in the future, dealing with Bible Prophesy, along with the details of Hebrew timekeeping and their calendar.

The Almighty Creator originally intelligently designed the universe with His sacred timekeeping installed at the foundation. He set the fixed stars and planets in place, so that man could understand times – seasons, days and years, [Gen. 1:14]. With this in mind, I wanted to call attention to an interesting article I found on a fascinating Biblical topic regarding the Sundial of Ahaz. I will include the majority of the post by Bob the Berean, entitled The Sun Dial of Ahaz and the Extra 40 Minutes! 1 in this month’s blog for your edification, to help us think about Biblical time and how our Creator–God designed the temporal order of Creation for our planet.

As Jon Nessle and Ren Manetti have taught, God’s calendar originally had 30 days in each and every month. The first statement made by Bob the Berean in his blog that caught my attention is: “The relationship between the sun and the moon defined the months.” This is a foundational concept to understand when considering this miracle on the Sundial. The setting for the miracle of the Sundial of Ahaz takes place during the rule of King Hezekiah, when Jerusalem was under siege by King Sennecarib, in 1 Kings 20, and Isa. 38. According to the blog by Bob the Berean; 

“In 712 B.C. Hezekiah was king of Judah and fell ill. The prophet Isaiah was sent to his bedside to tell him to set his affairs in order because he was not going to recover. Hezekiah wept and prayed to the Lord and reminded him how he had served Him in sincerity and truth. Since he became king, Hezekiah had spent his time tearing down the high places, groves, altars and idols to the false gods in the land. He had indeed served God.

(2Ki 20:5-6) Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. (6) And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

God heard his prayer and through Isaiah told him that he would –
1. heal him
2. he would appear in the temple on the third day
3. He would add 15 years to his life, and
4. He would deliver Jerusalem out of the hand of the king of Assyria.

Talk about answered prayer! But look how bold Hezekiah was in response –

(2Ki 20:8 ) And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

After being granted all that, he had the nerve to ask for a sign! And the Lord granted it! Now here’s where we get back to the calendar and how keeping track of time became more complicated.

(2Ki 20:9-11) And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? (10) And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.  (11) And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

So God altered the position of the sun such that time went backwards! This added time to that day and every day since. How much time? If you think of the eastern horizon to the western horizon as 180 degrees (half of a complete circle), then 10 degrees would be calculated like this –If daylight is 12 hours then 180 degrees equals 12 hours:

12 hours x 60 minutes per hour = 720 minutes
720 minutes divided by 180 degrees = 4 minutes per degree
10 degrees that God moved the shadow backwards x 4 minutes per degree = 40 minutes!

So God moved the position of the sun such that time turned backwards by 40 minutes. Imagine you’re lying on your bed as Hezekiah was and the sun has gone down. Suddenly, the sun appears above the horizon again after it has already set! Now that’s a sign!

It doesn’t tell us specifically that the sun had already gone down, though it could have, the movement of the shadow backwards on the sundial would have been just as dramatic.

Why the Sun’s Position Must have Changed, and Not the Earth “rotating” Backwards-

For the shadow of the sundial to return backwards 10 degrees, this must be the sun’s position moving and not the earth rotating backwards. If both the sun and moon moved, or earth rotated backwards, then there would be no change in the months. If both the sun and moon moved backwards together, then there would be no change in their relationship, only the length of that day would be 40 minutes longer. As was the case in Joshua’s “long day” (Josh 10:12-13), the sun and moon both stood still, and their relationship between each other did not change. The only thing that happened was a “long day“ until the battle had ended.

For the 10 degrees to make a change in the months, there had to have been a change in the position of the sun in relation to the moon. This would change the length of the phases, that determines the length of the months. If both sun and moon didn’t move, but the earth “rotated” backwards, this could not explain a change in the months either, as the relationship between sun and moon would remain unchanged. It would have only made that day 10 degrees/40 min longer. But it wouldn’t have changed the months. The moon’s phases and times
would still have been the same since the moon is dependent only upon the sun for the timing of its phases, and not the earth.

The Jews have kept track of the months by observing one new moon to the next, for centuries. The Hebrew calendar has 12 months of 29 1/2 to 30 days. Approximately every 3 years they add a 13th month. Does that correlate in any way with the 10 degrees/40 minutes?

40 minutes per day x 30 days per month = 1200 minutes difference per month
1200 minutes x 12 months per year = 14,400 minutes per year
14,400 minutes per year x 3 years = 43,200 minutes
43,200 minutes divided by 60 minutes per hour = 720 hours over 3 year period
720 hours divided by 24 hours per day = 30 days (the 13th month!)

This adjustment is required also to ensure the alignment of the feast days with the correct season.

Why Did God Choose How Many Degrees and not allow Hezekiah to choose?

(2Ki 20:9) And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

Here we see that God gave Hezekiah the choice of 10 degrees forward or backwards, but not how many degrees. Why did God choose how many degrees, and not let Hezekiah choose? Because it could have affected God’s sanctified holy Sabbath.

If God had let Hezekiah choose the number of degrees, we as men like to see spectacular fantastic miracles. And as such Hezekiah might have chosen 30 or 40 degrees! What would that have done to the calendar? If a change was made, which caused more than 1 day’s loss in any month, we would lose the last Sabbath of that month, as the last Sabbath is the 29th day of the month on the Hebrew calendar. As it stands now, only the 30th day, is lost in some months. If we had lost two days instead of one, then we would lose both the 30th day, and the 29th day Sabbath, thereby destroying the 7-day weekly cycle, which God instituted in Genesis 2:3.” 2

 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.

God blessed and sanctified the seventh day making it a Sabbath Covenant going forward, and He did not allow this Miracle of the Sundial of Ahaz to interfere with this. According to the calculations of Bob the Berean above, the 40 Minutes related to the 10 degrees the shadow of the sun moved backwards, on the sundial, the numbers fit a sacred numerical matrix that pervades the earth and our solar system. As the sun passes through its 365.2224- day, annual course it “dwells” in each of the 12 houses of its “civil year” of the zodiac for one month. The Sun moves in its circuit at a rate of 12 miles a second, or 43,200 miles per hour, with its train of planets in our solar system between the boundary lines of the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Interestingly, the sun’s orbital speed is 1/10th of 1/2 its perimeter in miles [864,000], or [20 x 43,200] shown as a multiple in the unity of Space-Time. In the base 60 number system seen in the 60 seconds per minute, 60 min. per hour, and 360-day calendar year of Noah, also breaks down into the basic numbers of 6 x 10. This exhibits the relation between the civil [lunar], and sacred [solar] years of the Hebrew calendar, in context of precession. This base 60 number system also provides the basis for the golden section ratio, also known as phi: 1.618 (10 by 6.18, or 100 by 61.8…). In addition to unifying the structure of the human body, the musical scale, planetary orbits, biological growth cycles and the Hebrew Calendar, this phi ratio proves to also be a key element in the correlation of the eclipse cycle with the solar year.

The numbers Bob the Berean referenced above, all fit within the workings of the Hebrew Calendar, and how Israel intercalated their calendar with an extra or 2nd month of Adar, to make up the 11-day difference between the luni-solar cycles. God knew how much leeway He could allow for this miracle of the Sundial, but He could not allow it to violate His existing Sabbath Covenant. It is important that we understand these, and other details to absorb to a fuller extent, the ramifications of God’s structure of the Hebrew Calendar, and how it relates to the Zodiacal band., within which the 12 constellations of the Mazzaroth are viewed on the earth.

With this in mind, let’s continue with a deeper look at the planet Mercury, symbolizing the winged-footed Mercurius, indicating the speed and urgency with which the archangel Gabriel carries the teachings and messages of God, depicted in this planet’s rapid 88-day solar orbit. The range of Mercury’s orbit is within the Earth’s tropical borders, delineating the rectangular borders wherein the celestial light of the Sun, Moon and Stars is shed upon our planet. The word “tropic” has its roots in the Greek word tropos; [G5157], found in James 1:17 with a shadow cast by the turning of a heavenly body. This is understood better when we realize that the Solstices are the farthest points from Earth, for the Sun’s position, and thus the seasonal turning points of the calendar, where the days lengthen in summer, and shorten in winter. Because Mercury’s orbit takes it as much as 7 degrees North, or South of the Equator –Mercury is seen as figuratively bringing the light of God’s message to the Earth, by delineating our bounds on this  pathway of the stars, within which the light of the Celestial Gospel is shed. This heavenly highway of 15 degrees is called the zodiacal band,

This also distinguishes the planets and stars outside this band generally un-named, by God in the firmament, from those whose names have been with us since antiquity, within this band [Ps. 147:4] As the messenger archangel of light, Mercury symbolizing Gabriel, defines a pathway in which God’s three-fold light in the Celestial Gospel is shed upon the Earth. The tropical borders will also determine the two interlocking polar borders of the great circles of the ecliptic and Equator in the cycle of obliquity, relating to the varying degree of the earth’s axis tilt.

It is important to realize Mercury’s symbolic portrayal of the ministry of the archangel Gabriel, and how this translates into the science of Astronomy, relating to the boundaries of the tropics. We find here a truth and correlating principle in the revelation of God’s threefold celestial light in Biblical Astronomy, as it reveals the laws of scientific astronomy.

Even as the orbit of the planet Mercury is compatible with the borders of the zodiacal band, so these borders fall inside the tropical boundaries on Earth. Thus, Mercury-Gabriel establishes the boundaries wherein celestial light is revealed upon the Earth, not only in a spiritual sense, when Gabriel brings a message of God directly to the people, and in the Gospel in the stars, but also in a practical scientific sense. Astronomy in ancient cultures on the face of the Earth documented the extreme rising and setting points of the Sun’s Solstice, as witnessed for example, with the Great Sphinx and Stonehenge. One of our goals is to uncover the roots of the Astronomy of the Biblical Patriarchs that underlie the vast reservoir of ancient Archaeo-Astronomy, to recognize the influence exerted by the wisdom and divine revelation of these antediluvian Men of God. In this way, the study of Biblical Astronomy, reveals an authentic fountainhead of knowledge in ancient astronomy, which was perverted in later star religions of the ancient World.

Another level of truth we need to consider related to the Miracle of the Sundial of Ahaz, which is not mentioned in  Bob’s blog above, relates to what are called the “Songs of the Degrees.” There are 15 of these Psalms, that get their name from the 10 degrees the shadow returned on the Sundial, and are found in the Psalms, from; 120-134.
They relate to the 15 years added to the life of King Hezekiah, resulting from his prayer to God for healing him. These 15 Psalms break down into 10 related to Hezekiah and the 10 degrees the sun moved back on the dial, [2 Kings 20:8-11], while the remaining 5 Psalms are from King David [4] and King Solomon [1]. The Psalm of Solomon occupies the center position [Ps. 127] in the structure of these 15 Psalms, with 7 Psalms on either side of it, including 2 Psalms in each of the 2 sets 7-by King David, and 5 of these two sets of 7 by King Hezekiah. 4

Since these 15 Psalms record God’s deliverance of His people from their trials under these 3 kings, God’s names are prominent in these Psalms, where the name Jehovah occurs 24 times in both of the 2 sets of 7 Psalms. The 15 Psalms are arranged in 5 groups of 3, emphasizing God’s Deliverance with the subject in each of the first group is Distress, the second is Trust in Jehovah, with the 3rd covering blessings and peace in Zion. 5

The Zodiacal Band.  7

What is interesting about these 15 Psalms of the Degrees is that they get their name directly from the 10 degrees that the shadow of the sun moved backwards on the Sundial of Ahaz. These 10 degrees symbolized the 15 years added to the life of King Hezekiah. Is it a mere coincidence that these 15 Psalms of the Degrees mirror the 15 degrees of the Zodiacal Band? The Center Psalm of Solomon; [Ps. 127], reflects the center-line of the Equator of the Earth, with 7 degrees- or 7 Psalms of the Degrees, on either side.

“The Great Hallel, which included these 15 Psalms of the Degrees, was sung at Passover, being recited at the Paschal supper, since remote antiquity. It praised the goodness of Jehovah towards Israel, in their deliverance from Egypt, where this generation began serving God instead of Pharaoh. Below, Alfred Edersheim tells us how the true worship of the Great Hallel or “Hallelujah chorus” was ordained and carried out on the Temple Steps by the Heavenly Father, in opposition to the idolatry that occurred before:

“….The Levites (with instruments of music without number) stood upon the fifteen steps which led down from the Court of Israel to that of the Women, according to the number of the fifteen Songs of Degrees in the Book of Psalms [Ps. 120-136]. Two Priests with trumpets in their hands, were at the upper gate (that of Nicanor), which led from the Court of Israel to that of the Women. At cock-crowing, they drew a three-fold blast. As they reached the tenth step, they drew another three-fold blast; as they entered the Court itself, they drew yet another three-fold blast; and so they blew as they advanced, till they reached the gate which opens upon the east (the Beautiful Gate). As they came to the eastern gate, they turned round towards the west (to face the Holy Place), and said: Our fathers who were in this place, they turned their back upon the Sanctuary of Jehovah, and their faces towards the east, and they worshipped towards the rising sun; but as for us, our eyes are towards the Lord.” 7 [Ezek. 8:16]

This tells us the nature of this idolatry based on sun worship, while shedding some light on the association of these the fifteen Songs of Degrees [Ps. 120-134] known as the “Great Hallel,” with the miracle of the Sun going backwards on Ahaz’ sundial. This was a sign not only of Hezekiah’s personal rescue, but also the liberation of all those dwelling in Jerusalem via the fifteen years added to Hezekiah’s life, each year related to one of the 15 Psalms of the Degrees mentioned above, [Isa. 38]. This miraculous healing of King Hezekiah led to the extension of his progeny that eventually produced Jesus Christ, man’s deliverer. The Creator’s control of the sun in relation to the Earth’s orbit confirms His omnipotent power over these celestial bodies as only a small part of His Creation, no aspect of which deserves worship in place of the Almighty, [Rom. 1:23-25]. This record in Ezekiel 8 thus exposes the decrepit foundations of all forms of Astrology, showing the level to which the idolatrous substitution had its affect, because each ascending step of the Hallel rite leading up to the Temple altar, was given over to an idol. This lead to the corruption of not only Temple, with all its associated ministers, Sanhedrin priests, altar and sacrifices, but also the entire nation would be under this spiritual darkness as a result.

This Miracle of the Sundial was a game changer not only for King Hezekiah and all Israel, but all mankind also since the progeny of the Christ-line through Hezekiah was extended, that brought us our redeemer–Jesus Christ! This was probably another occasion where the enemy was partying thinking they had won, when Isaiah told the king he would die and not live, [Isa. 38:1] until Hezekiah’s faith turned the tables unto victory for mankind, through the Son of God. How thankful we are for great believers like this who stood against the darkness until the light prevailed, and as we stand we will see it do and see the same. Amen!

The Biblical Astronomy of the Luni-Solar Eclipses of 2021-2022.

 Four Blood Moons

The current Four Blood Moons of 2021-22 have not gotten the media attention that its predecessors have, most likely due to a technicality. Blood Moon Tetrads are recognized as four Total Lunar Eclipses in a row, but the Nov. 21st , 2021′ Lunar Eclipse
was not total, just missing with only 97% of the lunar surface covered in Earth’s shadow. This makes it a partial Lunar eclipse and technically rules out being classified as a Blood Moon Tetrad. For this reason, it may sneak up on people as opposed to the Tetrads of 1949-50, 1967-68, and the most recent of 2014-2015, seen in the title banner above. This however, does not mean it should be ignored, as there are notable signs on Jewish Holidays surrounding them!

As we approach the end of the recent Blood Moon Quartet of 2021-22, the focus of this blog will be how these current Blood Moons relate to the previous tetrad in 2014-15 with the signs of 2016-17. To understand this, we must be aware what is known on the Hebrew Calander as the Shemita Cycle. The Shemita cycle includes both a Shemita Year and Week cycle which is a 7-year Sabbath release, where there was rest for the land with no sowing or reaping in the 7th year, and financial slates were wiped clean, with debts forgiven and real estate reverting to the original owners, [Levi. 25:1-7].

In Levi. 25:8-9 God spoke to Moses with “thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years, and seven times seven years; and the space of seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 9 Thou shalt cause the trumpet of Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of Atonement, shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. [see Levi. 25:10-13]

It is key to realize that these seven-year cycles of Shemita years are related to both the Feast of Trumpets announcing the Jubilee on the Day of Atonement, concluding the sabbath year, as it did when Jesus was crucified in 27-28AD. A Shemita cycle would be one of the seven-year periods in the “seven sabbaths of years” that leads to the 49 years,” culminating in the 50-year Jubilee. Not only this, but even at the start of the Lord’s Earthly Ministry in Luke 4:18-19, he preached to them in the Acceptable year of the Lord, referencing that Jesus‘ laying down his life, was divinely approved by the Heavenly Father-Who anointed Jesus at this particular time and only by his sacrifice, to redeem mankind. Dr. Earnest Martin points out the links between the Acceptable Year of the Lord and Sabbatical years related to Luke 4:18-19 as follows. When Jesus announced that he was anointed to preach the Gospel to the poor, it was “a reflection of Sabbatical regulations that the poor and the stranger could eat from the fields without hinder.” 1

It is no coincidence that the Jubilee refers to these specifics in [Levi 25:10], as the 50th year was hallowed, and liberty was proclaimed throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof. God sent Jesus to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and the recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. “This recalls the Sabbatical release laws and being free from debt as stated in Deut. 15: 1-6.” The Lord’s Release here was certainly fulfilled by Jesus as the Passover Lamb. This Acceptable Year is the kind of release Sabbath referred to in Isa. 58:6, which Jesus proclaimed at the Synagogue in Nazareth that always began on the Day of Atonement. The end of this Sabbatical year and seven-year Shemita cycle on the Day of Atonement in Tishri, ties not only to the birth of Christ on Tishri 1, 3 BC but also the cycle of regnal years from Tishri 1 to Tishri 1 for Kings in Israel and Judah, for the Priest-King of Israel and Lion of Judah, who also fulfilled the requirement of the Lamb of the first year. As a result, Jesus’ ministry could not have been longer than two years, as opposed to the 3.5 years many hold. Dr. Martin points out the influence of the Prophet Daniel on the Sabbatical Cycle as follows;

“These early opinions on the symbolic teaching of Sabbatical years were no doubt prompted by the Sabbatical periods recorded by Daniel. His 70 weeks Prophecy was an extension of the Sabbatical year’s theme, and this prophecy was the prime reference point for the Advent of the Messianic Age, that the Jews were expecting in the first Century.”2 Here are the verses detailing Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy;

Dan. 9:24-27

24 “Seventy weeks are determined concerning thy people and concerning thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war, desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Rev. Jon Nessle teaches how this relates to Daniel’s prophecy… of the princes;

“The first use of the word, prince, [9:25] obviously is referring to the Messiah. However, the second cannot. How could the genuine Messiah destroy the city and sanctuary? So there must be two different princes in this context. Just like verses 25 and 26 speak of each, verse 27 alternates between the two. Jesus, the Messiah confirmed the covenant during holy week by becoming our Passover. When he was raised from among the dead, the covenant was sealed and the restitution of all things made inevitable. In the midst of that week, on a Wednesday, Messiah caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease. When he died, the veil of the Temple tore in two from top to bottom, clearing the way into the holy of holies without any more sacrifices or offerings, because the supreme one had occurred. The other prince was Titus the future Emperor of Rome, and his army desecrated the Temple with their abominations, so just as Antiochus IV was a type of the Anti-Christ, so also was Titus. Thus a first Century occurrence of Daniel’s prophecy is plausible.” 3

 Many students of this prophecy have acknowledged that the prince who causes the Abomination that makes desolate refers to the future Anti-Christ of the Great Tribulation, but most have not considered the historical figures of Antiochus IV or Titus of Rome, as forerunners of this Anti-Christ. The link above on Antiochus IV has a blog connecting a Blood Moon Tetrad with Antiochus‘ desecration of the Jerusalem Temple in 168-166 BC, just before the 1st Hannukah. History attests to the significance of the Shemita Cycle, as Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Jews Temple in 586 BC in the 1st year of a Shemita Cycle, as did the Romans under Titus in 70 AD, both on the 9th of AV.

 Luke 4:18-19 also reflects how Jesus quoted the text from Isa. 61:1-2, stopping at the Acceptable year of the Lord, making sure not to include “the Day of Vengence of our God,” which was and remains a future event. This Day of Vengence refers to our God, Who is the avenger and Judge, and Christ who treads the winepress of God’s wrath, as he treads the evil down in anger, whose blood will be sprinkled on his garments, [Isa. 63:1-4]. The wrath of God’s judgment is part of the Great Tribulation, which is preceded by the Age of Grace, arising by Christ’s ministry and proclamation of the Kingdom and King being rejected by Israel, resulting in the sacrifice of his crucifixion on Passover Wednesday, the 14th of Nisan in 28 AD, 30 years from 3 BC, followed by this nearly 2000-year period, including the Great and many Mysteries of the Church Age.

According to Mark Biltz, Jesus was crucified at the end of a Shemita week in Dan. 9:24-26, the 62+7 weeks=69 weeks leaving one week still to be fulfilled in Daniel’s 70-week Prophecy, or the last “week” of the 7-year Tribulation. As Daniel was a Jew who upheld the dictates of the Judean calendar, and Jesus’ crucifixion was at the end of a Shemita Cycle, so the Great Tribulation would begin when a Shemita cycle left off in Dan. 9:25-26, to start a new Shemita cycle. This also falls on Rosh Hashanah-New Year’s Day. 4  Ten Shemita’s cover a 70-year period and 7 Shemita cycles equal 49 years, with the 50th year being a Jubilee, that was also the 1st year of the next 7-year cycle. 50 years ago a new Shemita cycle began, aligned with Yom Kippur and the Day of Atonement in 73-74′. Since Jubilee years are only declared on the Day of Atonement at Yom Kippur, the 6-day war in 1967 also started a Shemita cycle with a Blood Moon Tetrad in 1967-68‘, even as the Yom Kippur War also began the first year of a Shemita cycle in 1973‘.

Yom Kippur in 2015 was exactly 2,520 weeks from June 7, 1967 when Israel won back the Temple Mount, during the Blood Moon Tetrad of 1967-68. However, in counting these days, Yom Kippur 2015-16 was the first year of a Shemita Cycle that also fell 700 days before Elul 1, 2017, and the Season of Repentance. Another total eclipse on March 9, 2016, is linked to the signs of the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad, in the first year of a Shemita Cycle, completing 7 years later in 2021-22.

The Day of Atonement, “Yom Kippur” is the holiest day of the Hebrew year, and provides prophetic insight into the Second Coming of Jesus Christ our Messiah, the restoration of national Israel, and the final judgment of the world. The Day of Atonement alludes to the two great atonements given by the LORD – the first for the Gentiles among the nations who turn to Yeshua (Jesus) for cleansing and forgiveness, and the second for the purification of ethnic Israel during the great Day of the LORD at the end of days.  (Rev. 6:15-9:21 & 11:15-19) “What Shall We Do?” Acts 2:36-47 Jn. 6:26-29, 10:22-33 Rom. 6, 7, & 8, Rev. 1:1-3. 5

Now in 2022-23′ we find ourselves opening another new 7-year Shemita Cycle. Since this year of 2022 wraps up the last Shemita Cycle, it is potentially pivotal as 22-23′ starts a new cycle. According to Mark Biltz-this Fall, the Nov. 8th, 2022 Blood Moon could begin the Tribulation week because it opens a new Shemita Cycle, that would pick up where the Crucifixion of Christ left off-at the end of a Shemita cycle in 28 AD. For this reason, if the current Shemita does not start the Tribulation week, it won’t start the Tribulation until the next Shemita Cycle in the fall of 2029-30′, [5790]. As Jubilee years can only fall on the [7th year of a Shemita Cycle], these Jubilee years are also always divisible in whole numbers of their Hebrew calendar number–by 49, and thus easy to identify. Biltz holds that every Rosh Hashanah, as Sept. 26th, 2022, including next month is thus
a candidate for the Lord’s Resurrection/Rapture event. He tells us that this event will align with the Day of Trumpets on the Hebrew Calendar, we just don’t know which year it will fall. When it does come however, it will activate the Gathering of the Church of the spiritual Body of Christ as we are raised to meet the Lord in the air, before the Great Tribulation and the revealing of the Anti-Christ. 6 [1 Cor. 15:50-53, 1 Thess. 4:13-18, 2 Thess. 1-14]

The Feast of Trumpets “Rosh Hashanah” is known in Israel as “the day no one knows the day or the hour,” because the feast day begins, once a New Moon is sighted and that information is relayed. The Feast of Trumpets is actually a 2-day feast, and no one really knows “the day or the hour,” until it happens and they learn about it. There is biblical evidence the “gathering together” will take place on the Feast of Trumpets some year, “with the trumpet call of God.” (1 Thes. 4:16, 1 Cor. 15:50-53, Matt. 24: 30-31, Rev. 7:9-14) 7

The recent history of Isreal and the Blood Moon Tetrads when modern Israel was formed as a nation-state, were marked by the Blood Moon Tetrad of 1949-1950, as an initial key. This was highlighted by a triple conjunction of Mars-Spica in Virgo to open the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad. What is fascinating is that Mars in retrograde not only marks the 2014-2015 Tetrad, but also the previous two Blood Moon Tetrads in 1949-50 and 1967-68! Added to this, the triple planetary conjunctions linked with Mars’ retrograde, also mark all three sets of modern Blood Moon Tetrads according to the pattern of the Celestial Sphinx, with these planetary conjunction signs in both the Alpha-Omega signs of the Mazzaroth, Virgo and Leo.

The 2014 Passover Blood Moon initiated a Blood Moon Tetrad, concluding in Israel’s Jubilee Year of 2015, as a summation of 7 Sabbatical cycles in the 50th year. According to NASA, Mars which was a week past its closest point to the Earth; [opposition] was 9 degrees NW of the Blood Moon in Virgo, very close to the celestial scene also in Virgo, on  4/13/1968. As the Red Planet Mars was bright in the sky, it rivaled the Blood Moon in Virgo, and considering Mars’ symbolism in Biblical Astronomy, this gets even more interesting. In Bible Astronomy, Mars can embody Michael the Warrior Archangel fighting for God’s people, as we find Mars here coming to Israel’s [Virgo] aid in time of crisis or war. However, the Red Planet–Mars can also symbolize the sinless blood of Christ our Redeemer, who paid the incalculable price to save us from our sin. Throughout the OT, God Almighty used Israel as an example of His Power, Grace and Love as He delivered them from their enemies. We saw this in recent history of the Blood Moon Tetrads with 1949-50 and 1967-68, in Israel’s battles for statehood, and as they regained control of Jerusalem for the first time in nearly 2000 years, in fulfillment of prophecy.

We will now consider the current Blood Moon Quartet of 2021-22 consisting of the following Solar and Lunar Eclipses;

1. May 26th, 2021 Super Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse-Sivan 15  [May 16th-18 Shavuot].

This Total Lunar Eclipse started at 4:47:39 a.m. EDT (08:47:39 GMT), according to NASA’s Eclipse Page(opens in new tab). That’s when the moon touched the penumbra. The partial phase of the eclipse started about 57 minutes later, at 5:44 a.m. EDT (09:44:57 GMT). The moon entered the total phase of the eclipse at 7:11:25 EDT (11:11:25 GMT) and completed exiting the umbra at 10:52:22 EDT (12:52:22 GMT). Last contact is at 13:49:41. [*]

The Total Lunar Eclipse of May 26, 2021, is uniquely positioned at a celestial center point between the Blood Moon Tetrads of 2014-15, and 2025-26. It holds down this singular spot in the heavens, in the center between two Total Solar eclipses on March 20th, 2015 & August 2, 2027, 2259 days on either side of this May 26th, 2021, Total Lunar Eclipse. It is also stationed directly between two other Total Solar Eclipses 1904 days equidistant from this Total Lunar Eclipse, one on March 9th, 2016, and the other on August 12th, 2026. Thirdly, This May 26th, Total Lunar Eclipse also occupies the center point between two other Solar Eclipses, each 694 days on either side of May 26th, 2021, the first on July 12th, 2019, and the second, an Annular Solar Eclipse
on April 20th, 2023. These three sets of Total Solar Eclipses, being separated by accurate day counts, represents one level of precision for the placement of the May 26th Total Lunar Eclipse. It also has a more general position in two cases midway between two Total Solar Eclipses, the first on Dec. 14th, 2020, and the second covered below on Dec. 4th, 2021, both on Hannukah.

This Total Solar eclipse on March 20, 2015, was itself also positioned at the center point between the Blood Moon lunar eclipses of the 2014-15 Tetrad, seen above as the title banner of this month’s blog. The March 20th, Total Solar eclipse [on my birthday], in 2015 occurred a day before the sacred new year began on Nisan 1 (March 21). This eclipse was visible in the sign Pisces, that speaks of the Redeemer’s people consisting of Jews, Gentiles and the spiritual Church of the Body of Christ. Here there was a solar eclipse that occurred 888 days before the Season of Repentance 2017. 888 is the gematria number of our Redeemer’s name in greek– Jesus.

The March 20th Total Solar Eclipse @ the North Pole corresponds to the Portion of the Torah reading in Jewish Synagogues, contained a reference to Nisan 1 and the Dedication of the Tabernacle. An interesting Scriptural element of this story involves a pivotal craftsman of the OT named Bezaleel-whose name means in the “shadow or protection of God.” This provides a direct link with the Shadow of the Total Solar Eclipse at the North Pole, a highly unique event midway in 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad on Nisan 1, with key inferences in its purview. Bezaleel was also of the house of Judah [Ex. 31] sharing in the royal line of King David, to Christ, describing how “God had filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in under-standing, in knowledge,” as [Isa. 11:1-10] with the revelation to build the Tabernacle’s holy furniture. Isa. 11:9 tells how the earth [God’s Holy Mount] will be full of the knowledge of the Lord, [Ex. 25, Heb. 8:5] relating to aspects of this eclipse, that was not only seen over the ocean, but whose shadow was always in contact with these waters, symbolizing the earth’s population. [Hab. 2:14]

The Passover Blood Moon on April 4th, 2015 was the third Blood Moon in the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-2015, and was the 1st full moon two weeks after the Total Solar Eclipse at the North Pole, on March 20th, Nisan 1, and the Spring Equinox 2015. This marked not only the opening of the ecclesiastical year in Israel, but also the midpoint in both the Hebrew Sabbatical year of 2014-2015, and the Blood Moon Tetrad over the same period. When we consider that there has never been a Total Solar Eclipse at the North Pole in the history of timekeeping in the Hebrew Calendar, we can see that this Passover/Easter Blood Moon was certainly unique. As we consider the Total Solar eclipse on Nisan 1, we should recall that it also coincided with the Dedication of the Tabernacle in the wilderness. But, the April 4th, 2015 Passover Blood Moon, recalled not only, the first Passover of Israel’s Exodus from Egypt, but also the Sabbath Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. This speaks loudly to the ministry of Jesus Christ designed to fulfill the OT Law, including every aspect of the Passover Lamb’s sacrifice, not only for Israel, but all mankind. With added perspective, we find the revelation of this plan for Moses‘ Tabernacle foreshadowing the blueprints for the Jerusalem Temple, as the ministry of the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek was energized in Christ. [Heb. 8:5]

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the Tabernacle: for, See said He, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. [Exod. 25]

A total solar eclipse at the North Pole on the Spring Equinox takes place about once every 100 centuries, but has never happened on Nisan 1 in Hebrew Timekeeping, especially when combined with a Supermoon, putting this Total Solar eclipse in a class by itself. The Almighty wants our attention focused on these unique heavenly signs like the Total Solar eclipse at the North Pole, at the center of this Blood Moon Tetrad, linked to the May 26th Total Lunar eclipse also placed midway in these Solar Eclipses! Heb. 8 points out that God was telling Moses in building the Tabernacle and its furniture, that he should stick to the pattern God showed to him, in the mount. It is key that God referred Moses to His Holy Mount Sinai, where He revealed the OT Law to him, mirrored in the earthly version of God’s Heavenly Temple, from the North Pole, the highest point of the physical heavens. [Job 26]

As the high priest after the order of Melchisedek, Jesus inherits his double square breastplate of 12 precious stones, symbolizing the authority of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah as Priest-King over Israel’s 12 [4 x 3] tribes [Ex. 28:15-30]. In keeping with the celestial symbolism theme, the breastplate, was designed with a niche holding the Urim & Thummim, or lights and perfections,
representing the two great lights of the Sun and Moon. As oracles of the High Priest, these two stones revealed the wisdom and glory of the Creator, even as the movements of the Sun and Moon in the heavens declare God’s glory: [Ps. 19:1].

Job 26 provides more detail on this intriguing subject.

Job 26:5-13 5 “The dead tremble, Those under the waters and those inhabiting them.
6 Sheol is naked before Him, And Destruction has no covering.
7 He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.
8 He binds up the water in His thick clouds, Yet the clouds are not broken under it.
9 He covers the face of His throne, And spreads His cloud over it.
10 He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness. 11 The pillars of heaven tremble, And are astonished at His rebuke.
12 He stirs up the sea with His power, And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.
13 By His spirit He hath garnished the heavens; His hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

In Job Chapters 2-3 we find the record of Job, after Satan had afflicted him, speaking from the depths of his sufferings, he curses his day of birth.

Job 3:4-5, 8-10
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. 5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it. 8 May those curse it who curse the day, Those who are ready to arouse Leviathan.9 May the stars of its morning be dark; May it look for light, but have none, And not see the dawning of the day; 10 Because it did not shut up the doors of my mother’s womb, Nor hide sorrow from my eyes.

These verses in Job make some notable connections with the shadow of death. Intriguingly, these links both carry reference to the darkening of daylight, first seen in cloud covering, and second with the blackness of the day which ominously resembles a total Solar eclipse. Here Job links terror to the “blackness of the day,” along with those who arouse Leviathan, [Job 41] who is another manifestation of the serpent as the sea monster. This again identifies the true source of the persecution, disease and death, from the author of death, the Devil and Satan. This imagery speaks loudly to the Biblical symbolism of Eclipses as negative celestial omens, indicative of the enemy’s persecution in the war for mankind in general and Israel specifically, as activity surrounding the Blood Moon Tetrads in history attests. The recurrent theme seen in the Blood Moon Tetrads however, is always deliverance of the Almighty God, Whose Love for His people is ever true and unfailing.

This Solar eclipse imagery is also found at the crucifixion of Christ, as seen in the apparent period of midday darkness on April 28, 28 AD, the day of Jesus’ crucifixion. There is no sign of an eclipse that I have found on this day, but the shadow of death that stained this day was more palpable than any other in history, and the blackness of this day was most evident spiritually in Jesus’  death. This was completely reversed three days later, however when Christ arose as the “first fruits from the dead.” Thus, the brightness of Lucifer’s day of apparent victory was turned into darkness the moment he turned away from the Almighty-the original and eternal Source of Light. We are reminded of this, looking at the April 4th, 2015, Blood Moon in the 2014-15 Blood Moon Tetrad, which took place on both Passover and Resurrection [Easter] weekend.

As the third Blood Moon in this Tetrad, on Passover it commemorates not only the 10th plague of Darkness that consummated the 10 plagues of God’s judgment on Egypt leading to Exodus, but especially God’s protection and deliverance of Israel, which freed them from their Egyptian bondage. This is the dominant theme of the Blood Moon Tetrads, that no matter what persecution the enemy produces, it always works for God’s deliverance, always improving the overall situation of faithful in Israel, and Christians alike.

2. June 10th, 2021, Annular Solar Eclipse between the horns of Taurus the Bull.

Two weeks after the May 26th, 2021 Total Lunar Eclipse, the June 10th, 2021, Annular Solar Eclipse followed. The June 10, 2021, Annular solar eclipse began at sunrise in southern Ontario, Canada. The nearness of these two eclipses occurring back-to- back is called an eclipse season.

The path of this annular solar eclipse touches the North Pole, followed by a total solar eclipse on Dec. 4, 2021 over Antarctica, the first of two polar solar eclipses in 2021, [see #4 below]. Exactly six lunar months (six new moons) after this annular eclipse, another solar eclipse fell on December 4, 2021. Unlike in June 2021, the Dec. 2021 New Moon presented the closest and largest supermoon of the year. The graphic globe below depicts the Annular Solar Eclipse path over the North Pole, extending the polar theme of these eclipse signs.

3. Nov. 19th, 2021 97% Partial Blood Moon on Kislev 15.

This Partial Lunar Eclipse belongs to Saros 126 and is number 45 of 70 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moon’s ascending node. The Moon moved south in respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series. This eclipse occurred at the Moon’s ascending node in Taurus. The Moon was placed near the famous Pleiades; the Seven Sisters – during the eclipse. The Partial lunar eclipse of November 19, 2021, is followed two weeks later by a total solar eclipse on December 4, 2021, also denoting an eclipse season.

 
The Beaver Moon lunar eclipse started at 1:02 a.m. EST (0602 GMT), and the moon was 97% covered by Earth’s shadow at its peak. The eclipse ended at 6:03 a.m. EST (1203 GMT). [*]


4. Dec. 4th 2021, Total Solar Eclipse in Scorpius, during Hannukah week, 11/28 to 12/6/2021.

The Sun will appear to have a dark shadow on only part of its surface. Viewers in parts of South Africa, Namibia, South Georgia and  Falkland Islands, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia will see a partial solar eclipse on Dec. 4.

We referred to a link above with a Blood Moon Tetrad tied to Antiochus IV as a forerunner of the Anti-Christ, due to his desecration of the Jerusalem Temple. This Abomination in God’s Temple demanded that the sanctuary be cleansed by the Israelites, which it was on Kislev 25-at the end of a period of 2300 days [in Daniel’s Prophecy] in 12/16/164 BC; when the Jews instituted the first Hanukkah.

As Rev. Nessle states regarding these 2300 days: “In my analysis of the prophecies of Daniel, I showed that this time span very well could be the entire time span the sanctuary was trodden underfoot by the agents of Antiochus IV. We know in the Book of Maccabees that the end-point of the desecration of the Temple was on Kislev 25, December 13, in 164 BC.”9 This initiated the Hanukkah festival when the Temple was rededicated, due to the desecration of the abomination desolation at the hands of Antiochus IV, as a forerunner of the Anti-Christ.

There was an Annular Solar Eclipse that opened Christmas night to Dec. 26th, 2019 during Hannukah week, which was notable as pointed out by Christian Minister-Pastor Paul Begley, who stated this was the 3rd consecutive year that a solar eclipse appeared during Hannukah.

“Israel has been viewed as the hands of God’s prophetic clock in Matthew 24, and Luke 21:24-33. In these gospel chapters, Jesus used Israel to tell us of a generation that will finally see all the prophecies fulfilled.” When Israel was reborn as a Nation–State in 1948, the “fig tree generation,” was also birthed. As Luke 21:32 says: “This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.”  Jesus confirmed his words when He said, ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away’ (Luke 21:33). This generation that sees the fig tree shoot forth will not pass till all these things be fulfilled. 10

The 1948 generation is the generation that will not pass till all things prophesied by Jesus in Mathew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 be fulfilled. There are faithful who refer to Psalm 90:10 as a determinant of the length of a “Biblical “generation.”

Psalms 90:10: The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they be eighty years, yet is their labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”

 According to this position, the following conclusions were drawn. In 2018 this generation was 70 years old the same year that Israel marked 70 years of statehood on May 14th, 1948. But this generation has to attain 80 years for years of “labour and sorrow”- [Great Tribulation], bringing us to the year 2028. So then according to them, from 1948 to 2028= 80 years, then this generation is soon cut off as prophesied in Psalms 90. This “cut off” happens when Christ appears at the Armageddon battle. 11

Therefore, since the ending point of this “fig tree” generation would conclude in 2028, and as Jesus said, ‘this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled,’ they have concluded that means the latest for Jesus Christ to return is in the year 2028.

There are 7 years in the Great Tribulation period (the years of labor and sorrow) that must be fulfilled before the generation is cut off. Since we are already in the year 2022, and a new Shemita cycle starts this September, as Mark Biltz points out, we should be alert.

What I find interesting about this scenario is that 2028 stands out for a few reasons. First, 27-
28 AD is also known as the “acceptable year of the Lord,” the year Christ opened his earthly ministry. The crucifixion date of Jesus Christ was [Nisan 14], April 24th, 28 AD, and his resurrection took place [Nisan 17], May 1st, 28 AD. This makes the year 2028 not only the 2,000 year anniversary of these events, but also wraps up the 6000-year period since Creation. 

With the conclusion of this final eclipse of 2021, Earthlings in 2022, will experience four eclipses: two of the sun and two of the moon. The first of these was a solar eclipse, a partial solar eclipse of April 30 involving the 2nd of two new moons in the month of April, what colloquially is known as a “Black Moon.”

 

5. April 30th, 2022, Partial Solar Eclipse – Nisan 29, 1 week after Passover.

A solar eclipse only occurs at a New Moon phase, when the Sun, Moon and Earth are aligned. If the Moon is new upon landing on the nodal crossing point, a solar eclipse results. Depending on the distances of the Moon to the Earth and the Earth to the Sun, the resulting eclipse will either be total or annular. But in the case of the April 30 solar eclipse, the Moon reached a new phase 23 hours and 26 minutes before reaching the node, which was too far away to allow the moon to pass directly in front of the sun, but still just close enough to allow the moon to cover a part of the sun. 12

During the eclipse, the Sun is in the constellation Aries. The partial solar eclipse of April 30 was visible from parts of the south-eastern Pacific Ocean and southern South America. It began at 2:45 p.m. EDT (1845 GMT) and ended at 6:37 p.m. EDT (2237 GMT), according to NASA’s solar eclipse page. [*]  The partial solar eclipse of April 30, 2022, is followed two weeks later by the Total Lunar eclipse [see below] on May 16, 2022, again denoting an eclipse season. May-Aug. of 2022 also witnessed four consecutive Supermoons.


6. May 16th, 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse on  2nd Passover.  

This total lunar eclipse of May 16 was visible across North and South America, Europe and Africa. It began at 9:32 p.m. EDT (0132 GMT) and lasted about 5 hours and 18 minutes, according to NASA’s Eclipse website. The eclipse peaked at 12:12 a.m. EDT (0412 on May 17 GMT). [https://www.space.com/16830-full-moon-calendar.html] The Moon’s location is in the direction of the constellation Libra.

This lunar eclipse takes place 1.5 days before the moon reaches perigee, its closest point to Earth for the month.
So this full moon is a supermoon. The May 16th, 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse took place on the Second Passover, in the 14-15th Iyyar on the Hebrew Calendar, according to the stipulations in Num. 9:4-12 below, given to Moses by the Lord. However, these are considerations of the OT Law, that Jesus fulfilled as the embodiment of the Passover, who covered these transgressions where the Law was concerned.

Num. 9:4-12
4 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel that they should keep the Passover. 5 And they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening in the Wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. 6 And there were certain men who were defiled by the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day; and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day. 7 And those men said unto him, “We are defiled by the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in its appointed season among the children of Israel?” 8 And Moses said unto them, “Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.” 9 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, 10 “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: ‘If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Passover unto the Lord. 11 The fourteenth day of the second month at evening they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. 12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it. According to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it.

 

Oct. 8, 2022: The Draconid Meteor Shower.

The Draconid meteor shower which is active Oct. 6-10, is expected to peak on Friday, October 8, and last through October 10, bringing with it a drizzle of meteors for dedicated stargazers, three days after Yom Kippur.

These dates are key historically from October 7th-8th we find 3 Sukkot/Tabernacle Blood Moons in 32 AD, 1949 and 2014, along with a Penumbral lunar eclipse on the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot in 70 AD. In 1949 Israel fought for and won their independence as a state, as in 2014 they were fighting Hamas. Both eclipses from October 7th-8th and those falling on October 18th, were all on the Feast of Tabernacles.

7. October 25th, 2022 Partial Solar Eclipse-Tishri 30-Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan


On Oct. 25, the second solar eclipse of 2022 will take place. As in April, this eclipse will be partial, but this time the Moon’s penumbral shadow will fall on the Northern Hemisphere. This partial solar eclipse on Oct. 25 will be visible from parts of Europe, northeast Africa, the Middle East and western Asia. It will begin at 4:58 a.m. EST (0858 GMT) and end at 9:02 a.m. EST (1302 GMT).  [*]

8. Nov. 8th, 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse

The total lunar eclipse of Nov. 8 will be visible across Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean and the Americas. It will begin at 3:02 a.m. EST (0802 GMT) and last about 5 hours, 53 minutes, with totality lasting 1 hour, 24 minutes, according to NASA. It will peak at 6 a.m. EST (1100 GMT).  [*]


The total lunar eclipse of November 8, 2022, is preceded two weeks earlier by a partial solar eclipse on October 25, 2022. These eclipses all take place during a single eclipse season. An eclipse season is an approximate 35-day period during which it’s inevitable for at least 2 (and possibly 3) eclipses to take place.

According to Mark Biltz-this Fall, the Nov. 8th, 2022 Blood Moon could begin the Tribulation week because it opens a new Shemita Cycle, that would pick up where the Crucifixion of Christ left off-at the end of a Shemita cycle in 28 AD. For this reason, if the current Shemita does not start the Tribulation week, it won’t start the Tribulation until the next Shemita Cycle in the fall of 2029-30′, [5790].

This concludes our overview section of the 2021-2022 Luni-Solar Eclipses. I would also like to provide a preview of some of the action for next year. In 2023 we have another April-May eclipse season with a Total Solar Eclipse on April 20, 2023, followed with a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse on May 5-6, 2023. On April 20, 2023, a “hybrid“ eclipse, or an eclipse that starts as an annular, transitions to total, then back to an annular before ending, will be visible from the Indian Ocean, western Australia, New Guinea and the Pacific Ocean. The October-Nov. eclipse season includes an Annular Solar eclipse on Oct. 14, 2023, and a Partial Lunar Eclipse on October 28-29. The Oct.14, 2023, an Annular Solar eclipse will sweep from the Pacific coast of Oregon to the Texas Gulf Coast. This map highlights the paths of the total solar eclipses of 2017 and 2024 and the Annular solar eclipses of 2021 and 2023.

As the Total Lunar Eclipse of May 26, 2021, is uniquely positioned at a celestial center point between two Total Solar Eclipses, each 694 days on either side of May 26th, 2021, the first on July 12th, 2019, and the second Total Solar Eclipse on April 20th, 2023. The Annular Solar eclipse on Oct. 14, 2023 actually serves as the first eclipse that will be crossed over in Texas 6 months later, by the April eclipse in 2024 that also crosses over the path of the 2017 Pan American Eclipse, in the Carbondale area of Illinois. By crossing over the paths of both these eclipses, the message of these three eclipses are linked. The May 26, 2021, Total Lunar Eclipse also holds a general midpoint position midway between the April eclipse in 2024 and the August 2017 Pan American Eclipse, forming an “X” in the midwest of North America.  

As we keep our heads to the sky, and our hearts and minds in God’s Word in view of these exciting celestial signs, we anticipate the soon victorious Return of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring us home.
